ATREYU headlining U.S. Fall tour
with CHIODOS, BLESSTHEFALL, ARCHITECTS, and ENDLESS HALLWAY!
Fresh off their triumphant run headlining the second stage of this year's Mayhem Festival, ATREYU have announced that they'll headline their own "Congregation of the Damned" Tour, a speaker-shattering roadshow set to begin October 20th at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA. The tour, which is being sponsored in part by Monster Energy Drink, will see Atreyu topping a bill that features heavy hitters Bless The Fall, Chiodos, Architects (UK) and Endless Hallway.
After months of international main stage festival performances including Download, Grasspop, among others, the "Congregation of the Damned" Tour gives fans a chance to experience Atreyu in an intimate club setting. "It's gonna be a blast," says frontman Alex Varkatzas. "We're looking forward to hitting the road with some of our favorite bands and breaking out a few surprises from our catalog." Adds drummer/vocalist Brandon Saller, "We're ecstatic to be headlining again and to have the opportunity to give the fans a full-blown Atreyu show. We're looking forward to playing songs from the new album, as well as the classics and some rare gems that have been gathering dust. Get ready to party."
While they await the tour's launch, fans can whet their appetite for an Atreyu live show with "Gallows," a raw, in-your-face music video featuring the band in action. The clip can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKAwap4Y8Qc.
After the "Congregation of the Damned" tour, Atreyu will head overseas for a string of UK dates with Bullet For My Valentine and Bring Me The Horizon beginning December 6th (see itinerary below), to be followed by a special Australian tour (details to be announced tomorrow on the band's official website, atreyurock.com).
Atreyu is touring in support of Congregation of the Damned, which came out in October 2009 and debuted at #18 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart. It was recently announced that "Ravenous," one of the album's most electrifying tracks, will be featured in Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock and Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock mobile.
