CONDUCTING FROM THE GRAVE's “Her Poisoned Tongues” Video Online

Conducting From The Grave's new video for the track "Her Poisoned Tongues" is now online and can be viewed below. The track comes off their latest release "Revenants".

DEVILDRIVER Bassist Quits

Bassist Jonathan Miller of Santa Barbara, California metallers DEVILDRIVER has released the following statement:

"I just wanted to thank all of the DEVILDRIVER fans around the world for their die-hard love and support for the past nine years.

"Yesterday, I decided to leave DEVILDRIVER. It was the most difficult decision of my life but it is something that I needed to do for myself.

"I had the best times of my life hanging out with all of you guys, but it is time for me to move on.

"Much love to everyone."

In December 2010, Miller announced that "the drugs and alcohol" "finally caught up" with him after spending the bulk of the last decade on the road with DEVILDRIVER. He added that "the damage [was] catching up with [him] mentally and physically" and that he was going to enter "an intense rehabilitation program" in January "in order for [him] to reclaim [his] health and the person who [he] once was." He also stressed that he needed "to make a change so that [he could] save [his] own life and keep the friends that [he] still [had] left."

Filling in for Miller on the road with DEVILDRIVER for the past few months has been the band's tour manager, Bubble (a.k.a. Aaron Patrick), who has previously played with BURY YOUR DEAD.

In a February 2011 interview with Rock Radio's Tom Russell, DEVILDRIVER frontman Dez Fafara stated about Miller's health issues, "Jon's getting himself well at this point and we hope to have him join the fold, happy and healthy and back with us."

He continued, "Aaron Patrick has played around fifty to sixty shows with us. He's doing a great job, the fans have really taken to him and understand what's happening with Jon, and that Jon needs to get himself better, and you don't want your friends passing away on the road. So let's get him well, shall we?"

"Beast", the fifth album from DEVILDRIVER, sold a little over 11,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 42 on The Billboard 200 chart. Released on February 22 via Roadrunner Records, the CD was recorded at Sonic Ranch studios in Tornillo, Texas with producer Mark Lewis (TRIVIUM, CHIMAIRA, ALL THAT REMAINS) and was mixed by acclaimed British producer Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, EXODUS, MACHINE HEAD, NEVERMORE, ARCH ENEMY) at his Backstage studio in Derbyshire, England. The band recorded 14 songs during the "Beast" sessions, with 12 tracks making the standard version of the CD and all 14 songs appearing on the special edition.

SLAYER, ROB ZOMBIE And EXODUS To Team Up For North American Tour

Get ready for hell on earth, because for the first time since they tour together on Ozzfest 1999, ROB ZOMBIE and SLAYER are teaming up to hit the road, bringing a glorious purgatory to fans in 12 North American cities. The co-headline trek kicks off Wednesday, July 20 at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania. Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 1 at 10:00 a.m. local time. "We haven't toured with Zombie since Ozzfest 1999, so you can expect no less than 'hell on earth,'" said SLAYER's Kerry King. "Total sonic annihilation and a visual bludgeoning. Bring your own body bag..."

"Total destruction on stage and off is what this combination promises," states Zombie, "Seriously, how much more Hell could you ask for? The answer is none more Hell."

Both Zombie and SLAYER will present their full headline sets at every show, and both bands will close shows over the course of the tour. San Francisco's thrash-metal band EXODUS has been confirmed to open all shows.

SLAYER has been performing its classic 1990 "Seasons In the Abyss" album in its entirety over the past several months, but will instead draw from its entire 30-year catalogue for this tour's setlist.

Never one to play it safe, Zombie will be bringing his legendary stage show out in full force. Audiences can expect an exploding non-stop barrage of sin, sex and Satan guaranteed to rip your face off. This a true rock and roll spectacle at its finest.

Aiden - Disguises

Though they've been around for a mere eight years, Aiden's source of style always seems to change its course whenever a new album comes about. WiL Francis (vocals, guitar, piano, and lyrics), Jake Davison (drums), Nick Wiggins (bass), and Angel Ibarra (lead guitar) first introduced themselves with their first ever debut “Our Gang’s Dark Oath” (2004) that led them to get signed onto Victory Records to release their second and Victory debut, "Nightmare Anatomy" (2005). After settling in the band decided to go the alternative mellow route with "Conviction" (2007) in which that showcased a low sales rate with mixed opinions from fans and music lovers. So Aiden had rebelled bringing back the darkness within with their more gothic diverse album "Knives" (2009).

Using this formula as their outlet source the band has taken what was used and developed it further with "Disguises". The opening track, "The Devil's Eyes” is a track that builds tracing a voice over of the classic John Carpenter film “Halloween” (1978) at the end where it reaches its peak bursting into the “Horror Queen”. After which the band goes in doing an assortment of ballads and gang vocals as they have done in the past except these become quite addictive as each song progress. "Hysteria", and "Walk Among The Dead", which were both presented beforehand via Victory, keeps the gang vocals constant except provides a repeated look as to what was on their previous release.

"Disguises", is an album that laughs, cries, and mocks you having you not knowing what to expect next.

SKELETONWITCH Parts Ways With Drummer

Ohio metallers SKELETONWITCH have parted ways with drummer Derrick "Mullet Chad" Nau and have temporarily replaced him with Tony Laureano (DIMMU BORGIR, 1349, ANGELCORPSE, NILE).

Commented SKELETONWITCH guitarist Scott Hedrick: "Our good friend Tony will be playing drums on our April tour, new album, and for the foreseeable future.

"We're fucking stoked to have a drummer of his caliber and experience on board. He's a beast behind the kit and a great fucking guy as well. You can't ask for more than that!"

He added, "After our last tour, Derrick informed us that he is putting down the drum sticks and picking up the paint brush. He is returning to art school and does not wish to be a musician anymore.

"We would like to thank Derrick for his years of dedication to SKELETONWITCH. Though we will miss him, there is no bad blood. We will always remain great friends and wish him the best with his new endeavor."

SKELETONWITCH's latest album, "Breathing the Fire" (2009), debuted at No. 151 on The Billboard 200 chart and No. 2 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200. It was SKELETONWITCH's second full-length release for Prosthetic Records, with whom the band recently extended its recording deal.

A PERFECT CIRCLE began touring again last fall after a six-year hiatus, and guitarist Billy Howerdel told The Pulse Of Radio that plans are in the works to make new music as well. While he says that the band has come up with a couple of new songs, Howerdel added that he could get more done if he just had a place to work. "I kind of had the biggest void of writing in the past few years that I've ever had," he said. "I don't really have a great place to work. I had a house with a studio and sold that, and so I don't have this readily available studio. And it's the worst reason in the world to not be doing it, but we're basically an unsigned band, we can kind of do what we want and put it out how we want, and we can kind of turn it around pretty quickly...that is if I find a place to start working."

A Topsy Turvy Fairy Tale: Snow White’s Poison Bite Interview

Fairy tales we’ve all heard or read at least one in our lifetime right? Well what if one of those beloved fairy tales had taken a turn for the worse? In this case it’d being Snow White except this tale is entitled Snow White’s Poison Bite. Now this tale all began in early 2007 by Allan “Jeremy Thirteenth” Cotterill (vocals), who was born in the U.K. and since the age of six has been living in Finland. While band mates Juuso Puhakka (screamer vocals), Tuomo Korander (guitar) and Teemu Leikas (drums), has called Finland home since birth. A year later the band completed itself after finding bass player Jarkko Penttinen. This lead them to winning the Big Boom competition in which they received three days of studio time and got a gig at the well known Himos festival. Having them self-release a self-titled EP during that time period. SWPB considers their work to be "murdercore", "horrorcore" or "killcore".

At the beginning of 2009 SWPB signed a contract with Poko Rekords/EMI Finland so that February the label released the band's first EP "”Drama Trough Your Stereo” (2009). May of that year they were the openers for American post-hardcore act, Alesana playing a gig in Helsinki and toured for the Music Against Drugs program that’s a part of the Youth Against Drugs (YAD) organization.

Soon after all of that Juuso Puhakka left the band due to personal and musical disagreements. Then 2010 had sprung and SWPB was signed with the Sound Of Finland's Hyeena Trax -label releasing not one but two singles, “Valentine's Doom", and "Kristy Killings". With such success as it were, the band went into writing mode and later recorded what would be their debut album “The Story of Kristy Killings" released five days prior to Halloween. The Japanese version was released via Marquee/Avalon and digitally through iTunes via U.S.

Ever since the band has gone off to release several singles and videos that has left this horrifying quartet ready for the kill.

1. So Snow White's Poison Bite is that the unrated version of the classic fairy tale?

SWPB: Yea you could call it a twisted version of that fairytale. But absolutely a fairytale of our own!

2. What was your favorite fairy tale growing up?

SWPB: Snow White or Beauty and the Beast...

3. Can you tell us "The Story of Kristy Killings"? Is it a real person? If yes, who is she?

SWPB: No, it’s not about a real person, but the story has the reality of life in it. Lots of good stuff and bad stuff with a horror theme.

4. When will we be seeing you touring the U.S.?

SWPB: I hope we get to the U.S. real soon because we seem to have lots of fans over there. We're working on lots of things and that is on the top of our list.

5. How did you end up signing to Sound Of Finland?

SWPB: We got first place in a band contest called "Big Boom" and after that our Finnish label wanted to work with us. It has been awesome!

6. What's the music scene like out in Finland?

SWPB: The kinda music we play is real small in Finland. Some say we're the first post-hardcore band from Finland and I guess it’s true in some way.

7. All four members are enclosed in their own coffin's from the looks of your MySpace profile. Is there something you’re not telling us? Or do you rather be secretive?

SWPB: Haha, we're kinda into horror stuff so maybe it comes from that and the theme of our new album.

8. The photograph taken for the 2009 EP "Drama Through Your Stereo" shows you guys as clean cut gentlemen but your debut album shows a total make-over what made you want to change? Do you think this new look represents what Snow White Poison Bite truly is?

SWPB: What we are now truly represents what this band is meant to be. When we started we had nothing that was our own and now we're more original and stand out from other bands.

9. Why did you want to use horror as your concept/theme?

SWPB: We all love horror movies and it felt like a good idea at the time.

10. What are your all-time favorite horror films name your top 5.

SWPB: Hard to say, maybe The Nightmare on Elm Street films, Halloween, Friday the 13th, Scream and Psycho.

11. What do you believe sets you apart from all the other bands?

SWPB: Small things at the moment, but the next album will be something that no other band has got.

12. How is the future looking for Snow White's Poison Bite?

SWPB: It's looking good, but need lots more hard work.

13. Anything else you want to add?

SWPB: Thanks to all the SWPB fans out there and remember that all of you are great. We love you!

Debauchery – Germany’s Next Death Metal

Germany's "death 'n' roll" act Debauchery have declared that they are "Germany's Next Death Metal" band. This goes without saying that this is also the title of their seventh album to date. So when it comes down to this album it leans back towards their previous release “Rockers & War” (2009). This was a double CD release having the first part include their usual death metal material while the second part included hard rock songs performed to the styling to that of AC/DC thus adding clear vocals than the usual death metal attics.

Now “Germany’s Next Death Metal”, does contain what was on “Rockers & War” (2009) it has the death metal vocals except the music leans more towards that hard rock momentum.  It doesn’t really classify the original death metal angst that death metal is known to create. Debauchery has developed their own version of what they consider death metal to be and has glamorized it. "Bloodslaughter Onslaught", "Death Will Entertain", and "Killing Is Our Culture" seem to possess that old school death metal vibe except still maintains that hard rock essence. The guitars and drums keep a rotating beat that keeps the music fast yet heavy.

Debauchery's style remains unique but it varies when it comes to the musical sense because it keeps doing a back and forth routine of not knowing where to hold its ground making the music mix a bit too much.

Welcome to Suicide City a Drop Dead Interview

Eight years ago a city was created but not just any city, this was a city where anyone would be free to die. Yes die.... because you’re giving them your pity circumstances and end up in Suicide City. Consisting of vocalist/guitarist Billy Graziadei (Biohazard), with former vocalist Karl Bernholtz, and guitarist AJ Marchetta (ex-Groovenics) with bassist Jennifer Arroyo (ex-Kittie) and drummer Danny Lamagna, this DIY band didn't get serious until 2005. But soon after a five-song demo was recorded early that year using “Give Me Your Pity" as their original chose led them to change it to "Not My Year".

The debut EP launched the band to craft dark and volatile punk with prominent metal leanings, goth theatrics, and screamo-worthy shrieks, their music asserted influences like the Misfits, Black Sabbath, Joy Division, and the Cure.

They were then set to hit the road and had done so with Otep in 2005 later hitting the entire U.S. as openers for Mindless Self Indulgence. Their especially intense and vigorous live show, coupled with an innate D.I.Y. work ethic, managing to sell over 4,000 copies of their EP without any label or distribution help whatsoever. Suicide City continued to gain attention while on the road with Taking Back Sunday in 2006 before joining up with GWAR that August.

But getting from being a DIY band to releasing their first full-length with The End Records was quite an achievement on their account. The band was signed with the Brooklyn label in 2009 which led them to release their debut full-length "Frenzy" which has done just that.

Marchetta says that "'Frenzy' is such an eclectic blend of music.” Going on to add that “this band is unafraid and unapologetic about what we create, and because of that we have an album with a really wide musical landscape.” Graziadei points out, “In our short time together, Suicide City has achieved more on our own than most bands do in their whole career with the help of a label.” Benholtz described it as follows: “Suicide City thrives on making people happy and smile through our music without having to candy coat anything. Life does not ‘suck and then you die.’ Life is great, dangerous, exciting, strange, and then you die. I guess that’s what we’re trying to portray with our music.”

Though a time like this would soon draw to an end, Suicide City played their last live show and officially disbanded on February 11, 2010.

But before this hiatus had even begun there were a lot of things the band had to overcome. Once those were dead and buried for good the band just needed a break period. Exhaustion from being on the road for a few years, family struggles, getting their record out and legal/financial troubles took their toll. Everyone was just shot and needed some time to recuperate. Now it’s February 11, 2011 coincidence? New York’s Highline Ballroom would mark their return to not just the stage, but together as a whole reunited once more and are waiting to make their next move.

Percussionist Danny Lamagna along with ex-Kittie bassist Jennifer Arroyo gives me the rundown on all things Suicide City from their forgotten past to their unknown future. This is Suicide City so enjoy your stay while you can.

1. First let’s just get the basics down and introduce yourself to an audience who may not have heard of your band yet. How did Suicide City begin and what was the motivation for creating this project?

Danny: SC started in 2003. Billy and Karl had a song or two written. I had met Billy through the guys in Sworn Enemy and he invited me to work on the tracks. A few months down the road, Karl Bought in AJ and Billy Introduced us to Jennifer, who was his first choice for bass. We hung out for a few days, and then we got together and played in a little room in New Jersey. There was instant chemistry. The motivation, if I remember that far back, was just to create some new music that was a little different then what each of us had been doing beforehand. There are also some new waters to test out and learn about.

Jennifer: Well, long story short (yeah, RIGHT!), Billy had recorded with Karl before with his band down in Florida, Groovenics. Danny was suggested by our homies in Sworn Enemy and AJ (formally of the Groovenics as well) was brought onboard via Karl.

Kittie was headlining Hellfest in 2003 and Biohazard played as well. I had known Billy and the crew for many years and he approached me after the show about this project he was working on. I said cool, send me over some tracks and I'll check it all out. He did and honestly, I HATED IT. Since he was a friend that I respected very much at the time, I had no idea how I was going to tell him that I wasn't into the tracks AT ALL.

Then, the phone calls kept coming and coming and one night they called me at 4am in the morning and left me this crazy ass message saying that if I didn't call them back and join the band that I was fired. Haha. It made me laugh so hard and I called them and told them how I honestly felt. That's when they said, "That's why we need you here...” I was out with Kittie finishing up our last tour for "Oracle" and then I flew down to Miami to hang/party with the guys. We all got in the same room and BAM... pure magic. I knew from that moment that it was on and that when the time came, I had a big decision to make.

You can't create chemistry. It’s either there or not. Plus, I was ready creatively as a musician to take my songwriting to another level. I have always loved darker rock, punk, and electronica. I DJ and I LOVE big beats and I live for creating different sounds. This was an outlet for me to be able to start tapping into another part of me that I wanted to express.

Even though there were a lot of chefs in the kitchen, I knew it was going to be something very special and I was ready for the challenge.

2. So it's been about three years since we last heard from Suicide City what happened can you give us a recap?

Danny: We played our so called last show Feb. 11 of 2010. Before that hiatus began, there were a lot of things that band had to overcome, and when those things were behind us we all just needed a break. Exhaustion from being on the road for a few years, family struggles, getting our record out and legal/financial troubles took their toll. Everyone was just shot and needed some time to recuperate.

Jennifer: It's been more like almost 2 years but, A LOT has happened. We FINALLY released "Frenzy" on The End Records after having it on the shelf for far too long. We had a tour cancel on us 4 days before heading out amongst many other things that we'll just keep private. So, after MANY different twists and turns, we removed from the band what wasn't working took a break and worked on other projects and eventually found our way back to each other and here it is…2011. Writing and back in the game the BIG difference this time is that it's all for the right reasons. We loved what we created we are this super crazy, intense, entity that we all have found ourselves very at home with.

3. Now what is Suicide City currently up to?

Danny: We are waiting to make our next move.

Jennifer: Writing, Writing, and writing some more. We will be hitting the road for a short "we are back bitches" run and then we plan to have more new music out later this year.

4. You just did a performance at the Highline Ballroom. How did it feel to be back on stage and reunited with everyone?

Danny: It was a lot of fun. Seeing all of our old friends and fans come hang out was pretty nice as well. After being inactive for so long I was worried no one would care at this point. There was a real feeling of welcome back going on that night, and to be playing with Jenn, Aj and Karl again was great.

Jennifer: UN-FUCKING-BELIEVABLE. When we finally all got back into a room together for rehearsals, it was like we never were apart in fact; people thought we actually sounded better, bigger, tighter and stronger. People were jamming the place it was a very special night and a kick ass welcome back.

5. Can you give us a description of your show, visually and musically?

Danny: I'd say YouTube us. There are many videos out there and I am not very good at describing. The main thing people walk away saying is ENERGY. The band brings a level of energy to the rooms we play. It seems to catch everyone who is there, love it or hate it.

Jennifer: You know, one of my favorite comments about the band was from Kerrang Magazine "A punkier, heavier, gothier Faith No More." We have a lot of our influences coming atcha all at once and people have called us "Aerobic City." Karl is doing backflips, blowing fire while A.J. has his killer 1-handed cartwheels, Danny is JACKED and I'm clearly outta my mind so it's a very visual, high-energy show.

6. Are you guys still signed with The End Records?

Danny: So far as I know. We have been released from The End. Now that said, when and if the time comes to release more music, The End will likely have first crack at whatever we come up with.

7. Where can the fans gain access to your music since your main website is out of business, where else can they grab some tunes?

Danny: Oldies but goodies MySpace and Facebook. If we decide to release anything on our own, we will build a site or figure something out with a third party.

Jennifer: You can find Suicide City at www.facebook.com/suicidecitynyc and www.myspace.com/suicidecity - You can read our twats at twitter.com/suicidecitynyc  - We'll also be adding NEW videos over on www.youtube.com/suicidecity - We are in the process of getting our main site back  so, stay tuned for that as well. You can grab "Not My Year" and "Frenzy" over on iTunes at http://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/suicide-city/id64638065 - We would appreciate it. :)

8. When can we be expecting you guys to be hitting the road? You've only toured a very limited time before. I myself have yet to catch you guys last time you were in town was when you were on tour with Danzig.

Danny: Everything with us is baby steps right now. I’m not sure if there will be any touring in the future. We are kicking around ideas, so who knows. I think everyone would like to go out and play. I know that is where my heart is. The band covered the country pretty extensively when we toured on "Not My Year." Those were fun times and I really hope to get to do that again with this group of people some day.

Jennifer: We have toured quite heavily actually. We have been out on full tours with Mindless Self Indulgence (much love to that crew!), Otep, Gwar, Danzig of course, Taking Back Sunday as well as 2 headlining runs of our very own. We hope to be out again this summer for a short run and then hopefully release some new music before the year is out and of course play NYC again at some point. We are pretty focused on getting out for a lil fun but, music comes first.

9. You guys were one of the last bands to play at CBGB before it was closed down, what was it like performing at a club that's had so much history behind it? What about the DVD filmed there is that still available or no longer in print?

Danny: CBGB was always great. The first time I met Karl and AJ was at that club. The shows we had there were all memorable. That one we filmed was our homecoming show after a few months of being away from NY. The turnout was great and the performance was documented. It is still in Print. I know MEI Records still has copies. Anyone interested can email me at Dan@DanLamagna.com to find out how to get a copy.

Jennifer: It was AMAZING Sold Out on a Wednesday in August and it was one of the hottest days of the year kids makeup were melting off their face because they were outside in line for so damn long. The crowd was so fucking loud I barely had to sing. It was nothing but, PURE energy that night and all was filmed with 6 cameras we managed to NOT catch anything on fire and no one got hurt. I was worried about that haha. The DVD is still available!!!! You can order the DVD at:

10. Your two previous releases "Not My Year" (2005) and "Frenzy" (2009) are still standing a solid ground. When you look back on these releases what comes to mind?

Danny: NMY was a very exciting time in my life. A new band with some of the most talented people I have gotten to play with. There’s lots of interest from the media, and buzz in the scene. All the touring and gains we made were incredible. Frenzy probably marks one of the lowest points in my life and career. I really believe Frenzy was the sound of Suicide City imploding. It had all of the potential in the world to push us into the next level of our growth and career, and instead became our grave stone we never toured on it properly and it became our last will and testament.

Jennifer: Craziness and loads of good times, I love those songs and they still stand the test of time.

11. Have you started your next album?

Danny: We all have written things and have been passing them around the camp, but nothing has been discussed about doing a record or having legit sessions. I’d like to see that happen, and I have high hopes that it will.

Jennifer: YES.

12. How'd you get from being a DIY band to releasing your first full-length with The End Records?

Danny: I think the DIY thing stemmed from how protective we were of our music, our fans and even each other. What The End did for us was amazing. Their press/attention and loyalty to us was a godsend.

Jennifer: The End Records came to the table because they knew we had something special going and they knew we were hard workers. We had created a monster and it was hard managing it all ourselves so, we wanted to get the right team behind us. Nothing but love and respect for Andreas and the crew over at The End.

13. Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs? Do you think these topics will change over time?

Danny: We all write. The Lyrical topics are Karl. So where ever his head is at, our lyrics reflect that. During the last session I did with Karl, I saw him writing about more serious subjects in a less abstract way. I don't know what his inspiration will be for the next round of writing. I’m probably more curious than anyone.

Jennifer: We all take the time to write there are a lot of chefs in the kitchen of SC. Karl is usually in charge of the lyrics but if there is a point that we want to get across in a song it’s explained and the point gets addressed. Our music now is of course in a different place than it was before. I think the new stuff is heavier, catchier, more tragic yet beautiful all at the same time.

14. How do your parents feel about you being in a band?

Danny: They love it. They let everyone crash here when we were on tour, and they let me keep all my gear in their basement when I'm not on the road.

Jennifer: My Mother is my biggest supporter and has ALWAYS been my biggest supporter.  My Dad was a bit slow on the uptake because he was upset about certain opportunities I was offered that I didn't take. We all know the music industry is extremely unstable and I get that he was just looking out for my best interests. He's super proud and gets a kick out of it.

15. If there was a city known as Suicide City who would you find roaming its streets?

Danny: Karl Jenn and Aj...and probably Jenns’ cats.

Jennifer: Everyone The Citizens of Suicide City are an eclectic bunch and ALL are welcome.

16. What does the future hold for Suicide City?

Danny: Every time I’ve tried to answer that it has been the complete opposite outcome I predicted. I’m just going be open to whatever opportunities come our way, and hopefully we can play a little bit here and there, and get a few new songs out one day. I'm really into the one day at a time approach to things these days.

Jennifer: More music, more shows, more awesomeness, and def more crazy antics…. you can always expect the unexpected from us and we will always deliver.

17. For the people that don’t know who Suicide City is what should they know?

Danny: That when the band hits the stage, pay attention and be ready to run. The unexpected follows us everywhere we venture.

Jennifer: They should know that we are an awesome time and YOU are invited to the party so BE READY.

18. Is that your final answer?

Danny: This is!

Jennifer: Yes. Quote me!

PEARL JAM: New Album In The Works

PEARL JAM bassist Jeff Ament tells Billboard.com that the band has written 25 songs for a new album, to be recorded later this year. "April will be the time where we get together and learn to play all these demos and figure out which 12-15 of them float to the top," he said. According to Ament, the group has been focused on putting together reissues of its second and third albums, 1993's "Vs." and 1994's "Vitalogy", and working on a Cameron Crowde-directed documentary and book celebrating its 20th anniversary as a band.

PEARL JAM frontman Eddie Vedder is planning to release a solo album later this year. A new Vedder song called "Longing To Belong" popped up on a New York radio station on Monday (March 14) and it is reportedly from a new solo effort by Vedder, tentatively titled "Uke Songs", that may arrive in June. Vedder's previous solo album was not an official one, but the soundtrack to the 2007 movie "Into The Wild", for which he composed and performed nine new tracks.

Ament told The Pulse Of Radio that the way PEARL JAM has worked from the start leaves room for its members to do their own things as well. "I think the main thing is we wanted to be able to stretch out, and when I look at Ed and kind of what he's been able to do in terms of, like, you know, he's got his solo thing, and how he's pushed himself as a musician and creatively, you know, it makes me so proud of like, you know, how we were from the very beginning — how we wanted to be a band that could really dip our toes into a lot of different styles and dynamics," he said.

The first summer music festival ever put together by PEARL JAM itself will take place somewhere in the middle of the country this summer and feature a number of bands, along with PEARL JAM headlining both nights.

Drive A Revolt Video Unleashed!

Drive A Los Angeles punk rock crisis is causing quite the buzz with their debut album "Loss of Desire" sweeping the punk scene and now an EP "The Marked Man" is now out and their second full-length "World in Shambles" is soon to follow so these punks have got it going one way or another. These guys just got off The Dead Masquerade Tour alongside Escape The Fate, Alesana, Motionless In White, and Get Scared. During which they took some time to film this music video for the song entitled "Revolt!" check it below.

The Strokes - Angles

Thirteen years ago indie rockers The Strokes swept the mainstream scene with their indie rock n' roll vibe. Over the course of their career the band went from releasing their debut album "Is This It" (2001) to meeting such demand within the scene that they've released not just one debut but followed with three other releases. The last being "First Impressions of Earth" (2006) released five years ago was the last and only time we'd hear from them, since the members had embarked on a variety of side projects including frontman Julian Casablancas. Who released his debut solo album titled "Phrazes for the Young" (2009). But now The Strokes have returned yet again from their hiatus known ability with their next installation "Angles".

"Angles", was written two years after The Strokes had gone on their extended hiatus in 2007. Guitarist Albert Hammond, Jr.'s household in which this would be produced by themselves, except for "Life Is Simple In The Moonlight", which was recorded with producer Joe Chiccarelli. This album returns to what once was as far as material is concerned because when we were first introduced to The Strokes with their debut release their indie rock n' roll based style has shown up yet again. So it maintains a similarity to the style of that era that The Strokes had first created. The first single released that's been promoting "Angles" is "Under Cover of Darkness", which consists of a bounce effect having that rock vibe but the drums having that back and forth momentum that resembles that of a light switch going on and off.

The second single "You're So Right", has an electro effect and was released as a B-side to the first single. This song as mentioned has an electro effect that makes you think of outer space or something you’d hear randomly at an underground night club. The reminder of the album consists of more indie based rock tunes that capture the old school style of what The Strokes were known to do. Fans of Rooney and Vampire Weekend should be quite pleased.

City Under Fire - Illusions

There are bands and then there comes a band like City Under Fire.  There name may set ablaze but in short it’s nothing more than just some “Illusions”. Yes ‘Illusions”, is indeed the title they have chosen to go with so what type of illusions will you be listening in on? Well just a small portion.

"Resurgence", is the opener to this fiery blaze that sets this band off right from the start. The guitars, drums, vocals all blend so evenly well it’s uncalled for. The music is crisp and clear as a bell ringing in a bell tower. "Creator", continues the blaze that's been lit except it adds additional grooves with the strength of the guitars and vocal chords having the two clashes together combining a source of energy so fierce it overpowers the quality.
"Bodies" and "Gravedigger", kicks it up a couple of notches with City Under Fire’s ability building a solid surface of momentum that really captures their skill source. The music is infused with drum attics and bass lines that really shatter the listener’s experience.

City Under Fire have put forth an aggressive tone that will enlighten the blaze that has yet to be put out.

MARGIN OF ERROR COMPLETES FIRST MUSIC VIDEO

After years of anticipation for a band that has put so much emphasis on visuals since their beginnings, Margin of Error has finally chosen “Your Life in Playback” to represent them in their blood-stained video debut.  “This video is extremely accurate to how I wanted this song and the entire record portrayed because I wrote the script, and I am the killer.  It really doesn’t get anymore true to itself than that”, said frontman Travis Meyers.  Find out what else Travis had to say about their music video debut here.
