Sucker Punch

Action fantasy Sucker Punch takes director Zack Snyder's impact of reality and flutters it within the realm that is a world built upon imagination. Emily Browning plays the role of Babydoll who sorta resembles the looks and attitude of super heroine Sailor Moon. While her comrades Sweet Pea (Abbie Cornish), Rocket (Jena Malone), Blondie (Vanessa Hudgenes) and Amber (Jamie Chung) join in Babydoll's guest for freedom. Babydoll meanwhile is sent to an asylum that’s run by Blue (Oscar Issac) and his accomplice Madam Gorski (Carla Gugino).

Her quest for freedom is taken into account as the story is placed within Babydoll's imagination. The first portion being the reality of the asylum lifestyle while the second reality is based as an illusion of what Babydoll does when it comes to her and her fellow comrades do in their dancing numbers. The girls end up battling dragons, robots, zombies, the whole nine yards when it comes down to it. This is where the film piles in the visual effects like no tomorrow. But the plotline does get confusing at times while the story seems to be put into a series of "Acts" each one portraying its own routine, like the first half seems to act like a music or movie video while the next act is video game based and the finale wants to focus in on the plotline altogether.

The music used for the film is a series of techno artists with upbeat catchy tones that draws the music out from time to time having it appear when needed. Overall Suck Punch is an outtake to the fantasy realm that is reality.
