This being Klayton's second full-length release for the band
Celldweller he decided to go all out this time around. "Wish Upon a
Blackstar" is the title he's gone with and it features an array of tunes
but you may have heard of his music before and not even known. His music has
been accompanied over dozes of films, trailers, TV shows, games and much more
even in Spider-Man 2 & 3, Iron Man, Costantine, Assassin's Creed:
Revelations, Enter the Matrix, Kriss Angel: Mindfreak, and Ghost Ride 2. But
that's not all he's done he's taken his act on the road as any other artist
would do having a mutimedia showcase that takes it to a whole another
dimension.
A decade ago Celldweller's self-titled debut hit the scene
now it's time for the follow-up he's taken his music to a mixture of sorts
having an emphasis on heavy electro-rock with industrial bliss mixed in with
guitar riffs, danceable beats and electronic soundwaves that keeps the music
beating. Opening up with a song like "The Arrival", it blinds a
hybrid mix that soon becomes another track altogether entitled
"Unshakeable" which is a blend of synths digital tricks and treats
with vocal outcries that keeps the dubstep and techno grooves at a maximum
length. Other noticable songs include "Louder Than Words"
"Blackstar", and "Gift for You", which features female
vocals having an eerie guitar line with even creepier voices, laughs,
robotic-ness and much more that makes it one not to miss. While "Blackstar"
and “Louder Than Words”, each go into a darker terrain keeping the music alive
and well.
Overall this is a release from Celldweller that should not
be missed because again it features an array of tunes that no one wouldn’t be
dissatisfied with because there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The deluxe
edition features all of the same tunes revised with additional features you won’t
find anywhere else!
