Century Media Records is very pleased to welcome Sweden-based metal outfit BOMBUS to the family.
BOMBUS was started in late 2008 in Gothenburg by axe men Feffe and Matte as a two-piece, but then they quickly emerged to a full band with Ulf (bass) and Peter (drums) joining the party. Heavily influenced by the greats of MOTORHEAD, THE MELVINS, METALLICA and POISON IDEA, the newly arisen four-piece started to play their first live shows and evolve their own unique sound. After releasing three 7" singles and their praised self-titled debut album in 2010, the band matured greatly by performing many live shows throughout Europe, which earned them a massive die-hard fan base. Recently, a new bassist, Jonas, joined the band, which allowed Ulf to step back from his duties onstage to focus on the band's artwork and video clips. In the summer of 2011, Century Media Records discovered BOMBUS, and a deal was quickly signed. To start off this new relationship, BOMBUS will release a special single, as well as a full-length album, later this year via Century Media Records.
The band comments on the new partnership: "BOMBUS are proud to announce that we are teaming up with Century Media Records for the release of our upcoming album 'The Poet And The Parrot'. Century Media has always been a prominent label with a high quality roster, and we are happy as pigs in shit to now be a part of it."
BOMBUS recently finished work on their new album, The Poet And The Parrot, which is tentatively set for an August 2013 release. The incredible new album track, "Apparatus," will be released earlier on a limited 7" single and as a digital download. This single will be available from May 2nd on, right at the start of the band's European DANKO JONES tour. See below for all upcoming dates.
