Post hardcore rock screamo guys Oh Sweet Ransom had guitarist vocalist Myles Tufts post the following message on the band's Facebook about their departure;
"To all the fans who've been waiting and wondering what's going on with Oh Sweet Ransom:
We've been broken up for a while now, but never released an official statement. I don't really know why, and for that I apologize.
As far as the new album goes, we don't really know when-or if-it will be released. Basically it's all in our singer Chuck's hands. We recorded everything and now it's basically just sitting there waiting to be finished by him. I won't speak for the other guys so I'll just say it was very frustrating for me, but it's now been so long that I've let it go. If it happens, it happens, but realistically I don't see it getting released. I hope I'm wrong. I wish you could hear all the tunes. I'm proud of them, and I think the other guys are too.
Sorry for stringing you guys along. it was unfair, and this should have been done a long time ago. I guess we were hoping that at least we could say goodbye with a new album for you, but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen.
To all our fans, thank you for joining us on the ride that was Oh Sweet Ransom. We couldn't have done it without you.
