3 Pill Morning's Jeff Stebbin's Talks Touring, Touring, Touring!

Minneapolis, Minnesota rockers 3 Pill Morning got signed, release their debut "Black Tie Love Affair" and have been touring, touring, touring since their formation not that long ago. Frontman vocalist Jeff Stebbins talks of the upcoming summer tour and plans for new music!

1. Can I get a backstory on the band/ band biography?

Jeff: Absolutely my name is Jeff Stebbins I am the singer for 3 Pill Morning and we started around 2004. We basically had a lot of different musicians playing for fun then wrote more music outside of the area everything started happening for us, touring many times, signed to a record label and releasing an album all from Minneapolis.

2. How did you guys come up with your band name?

Jeff: We had a long list of bad names we didn't choose from so we went with this one and to us it looked like this, you no matter how many pills you take, whether it'd be 3 for this or 3 for take everyone is on some sort of medication. We took the number 3 and really having fun with it.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Jeff:  We're out of Minneapolis, Minnesota and I think there's pretty much everything here, a ton of bands, musicians, and music venues, so you can see anything except Country here. There's a couple of bands on the rock side are Throw The Fight and New Medicine two great bands!

4. What lyrical theme do you guys use in your music? What message do you want to send?

Jeff: I think almost everything is something we've experienced or seen happen to someone else, it's all about the world around us, and put it to a song that everyone can relate too. Make that a part of who they are.

5. What bands have influenced your band and its sound?

Jeff: We all listen to a ton of different music from hardcore to hip hop, rock, pop, all of that plays a part of who you are. If you look at lot of the older school rock or the 90s, and modern rock bands, there's a lot of great music out there.

6. Do you guys have any new music in the works?

Jeff: We're always trying to put ideas together when on the road, so we got ideas lyrically, riffs, so sometime this fall we're put these ideas together for new stuff.

7. What have you done to prepare yourselves for the tour coming up?

Jeff: Over the last 2 years we've played a lot of shows, so we're excited but not just because of the bands we're playing with, but the House of the Blues are celebrating their anniversary so it should be a fun time for everyone.

8. What are you looking forward to about working with the bands on this tour?

Jeff: Just watching how they do things, every night and every tour we're learning what they're doing and trying to continue to find ways in how to improve our music and shows. Just getting a chance of meeting their fans and our fans as well, everyone wins!

9. Once the tour is over what do you have planned afterwards?

Jeff: More tour dates, late summer all the way through the holidays so definitely will be road warriors all the way through these next 6 months ahead.

10. What can the fans expect to see from you in the future?

Jeff: Tour, tour, tour!

11. Do you want to say or add anything else?

Jeff: I think the biggest thing is that we love having people come out to the shows, meeting them after the show, buying our music and merch, so come out and check us out live and party with us!
