Children Of Bodom - Halo Blood

It was bound to happen Children Of Bodom said that "Halo Of Blood" would be returning to their older roots going as far back as "Hate Crew Deathroll", "Follow The Reaper" era but when it comes down to it it's a mix between those releases and "Relentless Reckless Forever meets "Blooddrunk". With that said this is a strong album for the band, featuring extensive amounts of keyboard use throughout, more melodies being driven with layers of material here and there like "The Days Are Numbered", "Scream for Silence", "Damage Beyond Repair" really drives the direction of the music. This time around Children Of Bodom's skills take their music to a much higher level and ground, instrumentally the keyboards do their part while guitars, bass, drums, and even the lyrical context is full on Children of Bodom material, never stepping away from what they have been known to do. "Halo Of Blood" is one of those releases that brings out the old meets the new in a refreshing way.
