The Revel Without A Cause Tour was suppose to take place a
year ago but due to schedule conflicts between the bands on the bill it got
held back. Making the rounds would be U.K.'s finest Fearless Vampire Killers,
Davey Suicide, and William Control. Their second stop on this start of the tour
was over in Hollywood at the Roxy theater.
Fearless Vampire Killers:
Making their ways across the pond was death pop rock metal
punks Fearless Vampire Killers. These gents who are from London, England in the
United Kingdom made their first U.S. debut out here in none other than
California, on the touring routes first set of stops. The tour having started
November 6th going on until the start of December these guys have got a long
ways to impress the masses. Thus the first set of showcases suited them quite
well that even the band threw a mention that a handful of fans already knew who
they were. So without further a due, these guys put on a killer performance with
clapping every other song getting the crowd into it, really kept their energy
on edge, while each of the members themselves, kept their own sense of skill at
full focus, keeping everybody watching on their toes. Each of the songs played
was a clash of material of their EPs and debut full-length with such tunes as; "Bow
Ties On Dead Guys", "Fetish for the Finite", "Could We Bur,
Darling?", and "For You and Me". Co-vocalists Kier and Laurence
took turns as Kier played vocalist first set of songs while Laurence took over
for the second set. Cryus guitarist, Drew bassist, and Luke on drums really
kept it together, never messing a note or a beat but maintaining that energy on
edge momentum of ability. Thus Fearless Vampire Killers arrival to the U.S. Of
A is well welcomed indeed.

Following their performance was Hollywood locals now big
shots Davey Suicide with his industrial heavy metal rock n' roll influenced
material of songs from "God Head Killers", "Grab A Gun and Hide
Your Morals", "Kids Of America", "Hustler Queen",
"Sick Suicide", and "Generation Fuck Star", these guys
really get into the act of things, with their performance tactics and material
to back them up. They come out dressed in these out of this world outfits that
are band typical wear but they enhance it on a whole new level.
Performance-wise these guys have got the moves and skills hands down, energy is
there with momentum in clear earshot and eyeshot to boot, but their presents
didn't really grab much attention as they had hoped. The crowd was liking their
ordeal but so much more could have been done to gather in more focus than just
what was offered. Davey Suicide is one of those acts whose got the look but not
so much the angst to give it all he could.
