Los Angeles television station UTB 18.2 will premiere two new drama series this week, including Freeter, Ie wo Kau (English broadcast title: Job-Hopper Buys a House) starring Kazunari Ninomiya as young man who restarts his life with a part-time construction job. Ninomiya, a member of the Japanese pop group Arashi, won Best Actor awards for the role from the 2011 Tokyo Drama Awards, the 67th Television Drama Academy Awards, and the 14th Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix.
Ninomiya appeared in the Japanese films GANTZ and Tekkon Kinkreet, and performed in the Clint Eastwood film Letters from Iwo Jima with actor Ken Watanabe.

Also premiering this week is the mystery series Iryu Sosa (English broadcast title: CSI - Crime Scene Investigators) starring Takaya Kamikawa as a forensic detective who finds hidden clues in the personal items that victims leave behind. Kamikawa recently starred in the Japanese television series Lady Joker and Taira no Kiyomori.
