Disney Launches Book Based Doll Line the Star Darlings

Disney has had quite the success with it's publishing division and line of book series including Never Girls, Disney Fairies, and Frozen. Now another girl series calling itself the Star Darlings will align across the galaxy with it's own book series and line of dolls! But who are the Star Darlings? Well....

Star Darling Dolls

The story goes like this, starting off with it's "Welcome to Starling Academy. Twelve very special students have been selected from this year’s class to reclaim the wish energy that powers their beloved planet, Starland. The Star Darlings, as they are known, take classes where they learn how to grant the wishes made on birthday candles,shooting stars, dandelions, wishbones, and coins tossed into fountains, just to name a few. Their top-secret mission will take them to Wishworld (known in some places as Earth). There they will have to find the Wisher and figure out how to grant the wish before time runs out and they are stuck on Wishworld forever. Sage is the first Star Darling soaring off to Wishworld. Travel with her as she discovers how challenging life on a new planet can be and how she learns the importance of friendship, teamwork, and never assuming anything."

Each of the girls is represented by a zodiac sign and a color. Each of them has a different personality that goes along with their sign and also have a cool looking dorm and dorm room! So far only 5 out of the 12 Star Darling girls have been announced; Sage, Libby, Scarlet, Leona, and Vega. What should we know about them well so far.

Sage is a Sagittarius. She always looks on the bright side and is determined to be the best wish granter the world has ever seen! She plays guitar and can be a little awkward sometimes, but she still holds her head up high.

Libby is a Libra. She is generous, thoughtful, and always willing to lend a helping hand. She wants to be the student body president and she plays the keytar.

Scarlet is a Scorpio. She plays the drums and is the misunderstood one of the characters so far. She is very independent and has massive wish granting potential.

Leona is a Leo and a total diva! She’s destined to be a singing sensation and shines the brightest when in the spotlight.

Vega is a Virgo and is one of the smartest, most hard-working students at Starling Academy. She rocks out on the bass guitar and is a bit of a perfectionist.

The other characters are Tessa (Taurus), Astra (Aries), Cassie (Cancer), Piper (Pisces), Adora (Aquarius), Clover (Capricorn), and Gemma (Gemini).

The dolls will come in various versions one a regular version and another being a Wishworld version. The dolls themselves will be available at Justice retailers as well as Disney Stores probably. The books these girls are based off of are set for release September 15th 2015 with the first two in the series staring Sage and Libby. Expect a mini web series to follow suit of course with endlessly possibilities including a TV series and movie could maybe happen you never know, only time will tell for certain.
