New Disorder Describes Themselves In One Word
New Disorder is a five-piece Alternative-Rock band born in 2009 and based in Rome, Italy. The band's music is an outstanding mix of Rock, Metal, and Punk flowing in a unique solid sound, made by fast drumming, powerful guitar riffs, and catchy melodies. Thus, it has all come to them releasing their latest addition "Straight To The Pain", where the band goes into discussion about it and the band themselves of course.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Well, the actual set-up has been playing together for 2 years, except for Alessandro Cavalli (guitar) who entered the band one year ago. Ivano Adamo (bass) and Francesco Lattes (voice) first met in 2012 at another musical project: on July 2013 Francesco had to re-start New Disorder after having founded it in 2009 and Ivano soon helped finding new musicians to ‘New Disorder 2.0 co.’project. So Luca Mancini (drums) and Fabrizio Proietti (guitar) arrived.
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
It was the year 2009; I was working on new songs and I was mainly inspired by S.O.A.D. album “Toxicity”, in my opinion best “modern” Metal album ever. The chorus of the title track says : “NEW, what do you own, the world? How do you own DISORDER?” I found that first and last word sound perfect together and were so meaningful and thought that should have been the name of my new band.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
We are from Rome – Italy, of course! The Roman scene isn’t one of the best for our genre, so we always take the chance to go outside and play in different towns or even abroad, so to have the chance to be known by a wider audience. Bands do we listen? We recommend Heretic’s Dream and Aether Drop (we are friends and are produced by the same label) fro Rome and Taken (from Reggio Emilia) and Fragore (Torino) who are really internationally oriented and worth listening to.
4. How would you describe your style?
Our music is an outstanding mix of Rock, Metal and Punk flowing in an unique and solid sound, made by fast drumming, powerful guitar riffs and catchy melodies.
5. Why did you want to go and release “A Senseless Tragedy (Bloodstreams)” as your single and video?
We had surveyed our fans on it and it was chosen as of the most effective songs in the album, so we couldn’t ignore that! As a matter of fact, it’s one of our favorite as well, though many other song would have been and be suitable for a video-story.
6. How would you describe "Straight To The Pain" in one word?
Vario!…kaleidoscopic!
7. Why should someone go and pick up "Straight To The Pain", let alone even check you guys out?
We carry on searching new sororities and experimenting a lot, and we write as much originally material as possible so as people could appreciate that. Our album is a various one, but it shows different sides of a psychological ‘concept’theme that can reach many people…take the chance and listen to us on CD and – best – at live concerts, which is the place we definitely make better!
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
We are promoting the album in USA and Canada (High Road Publicity); our label supports us worldwide and something good seems to be coming out; we’ll continue till early 2016, when we’ll should be leaving off to a Central European tour. We hope to come soon in the USA as well!
9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
We are on all digital platforms (Spotify, I-Tunes, Amazon, etc.) and are physically distributed as well by MVD in many shops; we’ve go tour YouTube channel as well, where you can find even unpublished shots and watch band official videos and live ones – tour diaries included.
10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?
We hope they would remember us mostly for a compulsive and continuous re-start of one song, or because they just couldn’t stop listening the whole album!
