Faustain Dripfeed - Between This And Death
For a band to come together within the same year as releasing a debut release is quite interesting. That happened to be the case for new death metal band Faustian Dripfeed, who released their debut EP "Between This And Death", a self-financed release that was recorded, mixed, and mastered by the band themselves of all things. This release of course leading to plans of writing and recording for their debut full-length album, and recruiting a drummer tos they can start doing some showcases of course. But let's return to the debut EP that is "Between This And Death", this release consists of 5-tracks some of which are quite "stand-out"ish if you will, like "Murder Circus" the title itself is downright funny, and the sound coming off it, is heavy yet catchy, that makes it that more enjoyable to the ear. Other tracks like "Chris Hanseen BBQ", as well as "A World of Emptiness", both are different of course, "Chris Hanseen BBQ", is fast and heavy, having a driving tone of beat, that really pushes the music together, whereas "A World of Emptiness", consists of that pushing method mentioned before, but has a more fast approach with its style. Its more paced with a faster tone, having the vocals working double time at times. In any case this debut EP release of "Between This And Death" is a decent release of material by the guys in Faustian Dripfeed. They are surly an act to go places in their future, and this is the start of it.
