The World Over's Take on the Holiday Season

The World Over have a take on the holiday season, discussing just how each member celebrates it in their own merry way!

1. What are you doing for the holidays?

Tiaday: I’m heading to spend time with my family up north and finally relax after this tour is over!

Tony: as soon as we come back from tour I’m going to fly back to Seattle to spend it with my fambam.

Ryan: I’m planning on heading home to California and spending time with the family.

Donovan: Just chilling with family in Indio. I might go ice skating or snowboarding.

2. This Halloween season I did what?

Tony and I + a few friends stayed inside eating candy and watching horror movies. Tony also went to a block party and got destroyed.

Ryan: My girlfriend and I went Fright Fest at Six Flags and ate a bunch of candy.

Donovan: I scared a bunch of people and gave out candy

3. Did you dress up this year?

I wore my panda onesie because I didn’t plan ahead. Tony dresses as a baseball player every year and Ryan had matching Dracula outfits with his girlfriend. It was cute

Donovan: I was a cowboy so that was scary.

4. What is your favorite Halloween candy or treat?

Tiaday: Personally, I love tootsie rolls.

Tony: I’m all about those reese’s peanut butter cups.

Ryan: I’m not a big candy person but kit kats are the best.

Donovan: Honestly I just like nerds.

5. What are you thankful for?

Tiaday: This band and being able to spread our music with the world doing what we love.

Tony: I’m just grateful that The World Over picked me and that we’re going on tour so soon!

Ryan: Thanksgiving ham, a family that supports me and to be a part of an awesome band.

Donovan: I’m thankful for being able to play music doing what I love doing and being alive.

6. Do you have a favorite dish for Thanksgiving or do you enjoy everything?

Tiaday: My favorite is sweet potatoes cooked in brown sugar with marshmallows. Ughhh.

Tony: Cornish game hens and sweet potatoes!

Ryan: I don’t really like thanksgiving turkey but definitely the ham and my grandma’s fruit salad.

Donovan: The classic turkey and stuffing, cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes...I guess everything, yeah.

7. Who's the one out of the band, that eats the most, when it comes to the holiday season?

Everyone agrees it’s Ryan. Even Ryan. He’s the band goat. We just give him food and he eats it.

8. Do you or have you gone shopping on Black Friday, if so what did you find and buy? Or have you gone out to see the sights of the crowds?

Tony: I have gone shopping once on Black Friday and it was terrible. People really don’t mind trampling you to get what they want. I didn’t get anything, just a bandaid from getting f*cked by this guy pushing me on the ground for a TV.

Tiaday: Fuuuuu*k that! I’d rather sleep.

Donovan: I’m more into Cyber Monday to be honest. I think Black Friday is stupid.

Ryan: When I do black friday shopping it’s usually for video games or plug-ins online. A couple years ago I got the Waves Gold bundle at like 80% discount.

9. When it comes to the holiday season, does the band all get together, or does everyone do their own thing?

Tiaday: We all usually go our own ways to visit with our families. Although one year we had a friendsgiving when Xavier Moreux was still in the band at our former drummer Anthony Dellaripa’s house. We had some great times there.

10. What is your favorite Christmas song to sing and why?

Tiaday: My dad used to make me sing ‘Oh Holy Night’ each Christmas in front of the family and accompany me on guitar because he thought it did my range the most justice haha. Such a musician dad. I guess that would have to be my favorite simply because of the memories affiliated with it.

11. One thing you really want for Christmas is what?

Tiaday: A pho burrito. Or alcoholic boba. Just give me food and I am happy; I don’t care for material things otherwise.

Tony: I really just want to spend time with my family.

Ryan: More fans lol.

Donovan: I realllllyyyy want an espresso machine.

12. Do you still believe in Santa Claus? Enough so, that you would pay him a visit at the mall or other local events?

Tiaday: Come on, yall. We’re all self-aware adults here, aren’t we?

Tony: the mall Santa's are so creepy to me.

Ryan: I would LIKE to believe there’s a Santa Claus. But nah.

Donovan: No, I don’t want to sit on any creepy dude’s lap. I’m good.

13. What type of Christmas tree do you prefer white or green or your own version?

Tiaday: A tree that came out of the ground would be ideal... But we college kids can’t afford that sort of thing.

Tony: Green, like a real one. I’m just going end up printing out a huge emoji tree and pinning it on the wall.

Ryan: Fake Christmas trees are where it’s at. Green though, to hide the falsehood. Lots of ornaments.

Donovan: I like real Christmas trees. The fake ones with white are so tacky. It’s not snowing in your house!

14. Are you a late or early Christmas shopper?

Tiaday: I’d say I’m pretty early. At least this year! I got all my shopping done already before we head out on tour on Saturday (the 10th-22nd) so I don’t have to worry about it later.

Tony: Definitely early. Just cause getting Christmas presents late is super stressful for me.

Ryan: I would say late in general because I tend to procrastinate with everything.

Donovan: Definitely late. Pretty last minute usually. It makes it fun for me.

15. One thing you have to do on New Year's Eve?

Tiaday: Not fall asleep before the countdown.

Tony: I try to go every year to the Space Needle in Seattle to watch the fireworks and countdown.

Ryan: Get shwasted!

Donovan: Drink champagne, poppin’ bottles!

16. Do you have any New Year's resolutions?

Band resolution: get signed and/or tour with world-renowned bands!

Donovan: I still have a lot of this year to go, I usually think of it last minute on New Year’s Eve lol.

Ryan: Fulfilling the ones I tried to do this year...

Tiaday: Attend the gym at least every other day and stop neglecting my YouTube channel.

Tony: I just want to keep killing it with the band and keep moving forward in life!
