Ayreon’s New Album Hits the Charts with "The Source" including #1 in the Netherlands

Ayreon’s new album ‘The Source’ is achieving the highest charts for Ayreon to date, in every country where it’s charting. In the Netherlands, ‘The Source’ hit #1 on the Album charts, whilst getting to #10 on the German Album charts. Ayreon also saw its highest ever chart debuts in Switzerland (#17), Norway (#21), Austria (#21), Finland (#23), Sweden (#27), Belgium (#38), France (#49), Italy (#52), and hits #5 on both the USA’s Billboard Heatseekers Chart as well as the UK’s official Top 40 Rock & Metal Albums Chart.

Arjen Lucassen, the mastermind behind Ayreon, is baffled: “Wow... thank you all so much for getting Ayreon in the charts in so many countries, the highest positions ever! Thanks also to Mascot Label Group for making this a reality. And of course I couldn’t have done it without all the amazing musicians on The Source, you all rule!”

THE SOURCE is an exciting new chapter in the Ayreon saga, with contributions from renowned vocalists like James LaBrie (Dream Theater), Simone Simons (Epica), Floor Jansen (Nightwish), Hansi Kürsch (Blind Guardian), Tobias Sammet (Edguy, Avantasia), and Russell Allen (Symphony X). The Source was released on April 28 through Ayreon’s new label Mascot Label Group/Music Theories Recordings.
