Anime Expo Hosts The First Ever AX Pre-Show!
In the city of Los Angeles a Friday night is a terrible thing to waste. Be it the bar-hopping scene in Downtown, coffee scene in Silverlake or a Hollywood throwback, finding the perfect Friday is a commendable journey. Friday, June 30, brings an exciting new experience to Los Angeles: Anime Expo Pre-Show Night! For years anime fans have gone to the Los Angeles Convention Center to pick up their badges and pray for a glimpse of the days to come. You asked, we listened. This year, Anime Expo starts the night off with over 80 hours of programming! So pick up your badge, buy some hot new AX merchandise, view cosplayers, sing at Karaoke, dance the night away and find your Friday!
“For years, our attendees have been looking for more; more programming, more experiences, more days. Picking up your badge the day before has become an AX tradition, and this year we are honoring this tradition with a whole night dedicated to the days to come.” – Mark Manansala, CEO of the SPJA
Pre-Show Highlights:
Food Wars Dub Premiere
Funimation Film Fest (The Boy and the Beast, Summer Wars, Wolf Children, Evangelion 2.2, and Akira)
Full Metal Panic 15th anniversary panel with light novelist Shoji Gatoh and illustrator Shiki Doji.
AX Dance Nights and AX Kick-Off Party
Maid Café and Night Café
With so much to do, this is without a doubt the hottest thing to do in Los Angeles on Friday night.
