King Satan - King Fucking Satan
EDM or shall we call it, must not be named at least for the metal community to some extent. Metal and EDM (eletronic dance music) for those unaware have never been known to connect well together in the music side of the music spectrum. Now there have been some acts who have given it a chance, Korn's attempt with their release of "The Path Of Tonality" where Skrillex got into it, then even Morbid Angel took a crack at it with their release "Illud Divinum Insanus". These releases for these acts did fairly decent for their time's of release. Then you have other up-and-comers who decide to try again or others who just do not care ignoring everything and everybody at all costs to create something that is as they always say unique and different. Something that has not been tried before, even though it has if not more than once. In any case though this is King Satan with their display of sorts called "King Fucking Satan".
As an album, it takes the likes of metal and EDM of course, but you hear a lot of essence of extreme metal mixed in with the energy of some sped up over hyper rush of EDM music that ends up working so well it is hard to resist listening to it at all. Whether it would be just a standalone track or the full album from start to finish. You just get this experience of music, with unlikely genres that just works really well it is so unbelievable.
"Satanized (Praise Hail Satan!)" the sixth track off the album, how could it not be it is the number of the beast somewhat. Plus the beat's name Satan is written all over this album and the band as well. As far as "Satanized (Praise Hail Satan!)", goes it is an entertaining number. It makes that hyper active EDM energy flow from the start to the very finish of the track, while the metal portions are intertwined together, creating this pulsing wave of flawless, aggressive, progression. Another track that tends to make the two genres work out, has to be the opening number, track number one called "Dance With the Devil". Like the sixth track, this opener really expresses how these genres work so well. Giving you a glimpse of exposure to how the genres work together to create a style that sounds so farfetched and weird, it just works out that way. "Sex Magick", has got to be one of the more weirder tracks to come off "King Fucking Satan", as the tracks beginnings has a very hyper aggressive tone of trance to its music. A fast pacing tone of melody that just refuses to let low. As the song continues onward, it does not want to slow down but speed up ever so faster with its melody approach, it keeps it all maintained and working out for the music being portrayed.
When it comes down to this album as a full on release though, there is quite the diversity in play here. As the style King Satan is going work with the combo of metal and EDM, it is rather upbeat, bouncy, and just plain out catchy with its synth riffs, fast paced programming drumtracks, that you cannot find yourself wanting to resist but be entertained by it all in full force. King Aleister Satan angrily shouts throughout this album, on each of these tracks and the rest, while the chorus lines are sung in tone with the music with each of its assorted track numbers. The album as mentioned before just is so chalk full of entertainment, from its music especially, down to its lyrical content, revolving around the dark side of all there is to exist in our little world of wonder and wisdom.
All in all this is one of those releases with a band attached that should be taken into consideration of listening to. For it is one heck of a ride, when listening to just one track alone or the whole entire works of the album itself. King Satan has arrived and is here to stay, for this is his work of art he calls "King Fucking Satan". A little mix that may bring forth the likes of dancing, glow sticks, and fun times for all!
