CROSSON'S SPREADS THE DISEASE THAT IS ROCK N' ROLL!
CROSSON was put together to simply create music, that would deliver catchy anthem like songs, blended well with a recognizable yet larger than life colorful image, with a stage show to bring it altogether. In other words pure rock n' roll music to it's finest content possible! CROSSON discloses the input about said music with even newer music in the works and much more ahead!
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
CROSSON was put together basically after listening to a Paul Stanley interview which he said that he put together the band he wanted to see. For me, it was putting a band together that delivered catchy anthem like songs blended with a recognizable, large than life colorful image, a bombastic choreographed, costume changing stage show and of course 2 sexy girls on stage strutting their stuff! It took years of trial and error of getting the right sound and image to get to where we are today.
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
CROSSON is my surname – Hey, if it good enough for Van Halen, Dokken, Dio to name a few, then I guess its OK for us!!!! At least we won’t have a problem another band using the same name!
Sydney, Australia is home and where it all started. There are some rock venues in Sydney, however with the genre of music we play, we searched outside of Australia and got a deal with Metalapolis Records in Germany. There are so many great new bands out there (not just Australia but also in in Europe) who play the same sort of genre. Some of my favorite new bands at the moment are Kissin Dynamite, H.E.A.T, Eclipse, W.E.T, Crystal Ball, Stop Stop, Battle Beast, Airbourne, Grand Design.
4. How would you describe your style?
I’d call it Theatrical Glam Rock with big harmonies and catchy choruses. It’s a mixture of 80’s hair metal with a 21st Century feel. Classic Rock Magazine quotes “" If you like the of idea of KISS and Motley Crue crossed with The Darkness and Steel Panther, you’re gonna love CROSSON.......” however we can let the listeners make up their mind!
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
We had a few independent releases over the years, but the latest album “Spreading The Rock N Roll Disease” was our first international release with a European label. In making “Spreading The Rock N Roll Disease”, we were very fortunate to have US legendary producer / engineer Duane Baron (Motley Crue, Poison, Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper) and European Metal Producer extraordinaire Mikko Karmila (Nightwish , Stratavarius) mixing the album, while US mastering legend Dave Donnelly (Aerosmith , Whitesnake, KISS) took care of the mastering.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
We have another album due for release in 2018 titled ‘Invincible’. Once again Duane Baron will be mixing the mixing the album and Dave Donnelly is Mastering. I’m really looking forward to getting this album out to the world as its really something special.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
The last 6 months has been spent working on the album and are looking forward to hitting the road and delivering our bombastic stage show to the world… My 5 inch heels are ready to hot the stage!
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
To continue “Spreading The Rock N Roll disease” to the four corners of the globe, and playing in front of as many people as possible winning the hearts of music lovers one at a time! We plan to keep on writing and recording and doing what we love!
9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
We are on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon and pretty much any digital distributor worldwide. At the moment, we have physical distribution in Europe, however anyone wanting to buy CD’s can do so online. Our label has an eBay store. Just search for “CROSSON Spreading The Rock N Roll Disease CD” and it will come up. Also make sure to give us a like at facebook.com/crossonrock to be updated on all things CROSSON.
10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?
I think people will be blown away by the powerful sonic elements, big guitars and drums combined with the catchy choruses and big harmonies. Some of the songs just stick in your head and won’t go away… not to worry its just CROSSON Spreading The Rock N Roll Disease” and its contagious!
