Drug Honkey To Release "Cloak of Skies" via Cassette and Releases Remix of the Track "Pool of Failure"
Chicago-based industrial doom lords Drug Honkey are pleased to announce the long-awaited cassette release of their nightmarish fifth album, "Cloak of Skies", due out December 26, 2017 via Ascension Monuments Media.
Recorded by the band themselves at SOS Studio in Chicago and Everflow Studios in Berwyn, IL, "Cloak of Skies", is 50-minutes of pure sonic madness. According to CVLT Nation, the album "Pulls the band down various psychedelic sub-categories, from the surrealistic to the dystopian, achieved through an impeccable application of synths, noise generation, feedback loops, all aimed to make this opioid dream reality."
Named #4 on CVLT Nation's Top Ten Sludge Releases of 2017, "Cloak of Skies", boasts seven tracks, including a remix by the legendary Justin K. Broadrick (Godflesh, Jesu) and a guest saxophone feature from Bruce Lamont (Yakuza, Corrections House, Brain Tentacles). Cover art was hand-painted by renowned artist Paulo Girardi (Inquisition, Power Trip).
