Heavy metal up-and-comers SHOUT have got a new single out currently called "People Of The Night", with their debut album out this year come the fall! The band goes into chit chat about themselves, their music, and wanting to be heard because they are the band to SHOUT about!
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
SHOUT is a recently started band but we have all carried the torch of rock music, since we got the first taste of the rock’n’roll lifestyle in our early teen years we have been hooked for life. Me and Danny played with The Scams, hitting the road all over Sweden and Europe for more than ten years - having quite the time. Ol’ Hurricane started out as a farmer boy. He learned to play the drums in a basement, and later moved to the city where he met me, Danny and Rob. Rob had been rocking out playing guitar with his band Danger touring Sweden and Europe and had no plans slowing down when joining what was to become SHOUT!
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
It kind of just came to us, we wanted something that reflected the music and was straight to the point, and thats what you wanna do when you listen to heavy metal! SHOUT - thats what its all about!
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
We are based out of Sweden in a small town called Växjö. The music scene has always been pretty big here, many bands have risen from Växjö both in pop and rock. A couple of local rock bands from here are BULLET, Ambush, The Scams, Dynamite, Birdflesh and many more.
4. How would you describe your style?
I would describe it as traditional heavy metal, the high energy ass kicking kind! With lots of sing along choruses that everyone can shout along with, we have influences from bands like AC/DC, Judas Priest, Kiss, W.A.S.P and Turbonegro and more so you get the idea.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
So far we have released a single and a music video titled "PEOPLE OF THE NIGHT". And a second video is coming out this summer, and finally we will be releasing our full length album in the fall. You can expect to get energized and having an album that always gets the party started!
6. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
We all love touring and playing shows! We have done it a lot with our previous bands, and we will definitely continue doing so with SHOUT. We have only played one gig so far, it was at BULLET'S release party for there new album "Dust to Gold” so that was fun! We had a blast! But we are looking forward to hitting the road again, when we get the ball rolling after our debut album release.
7. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
To spread our music as much as possible and to be able to play all over the world and awaken the party animal and get some heads banging!

9. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?
That they get a power boost out of it and wanna hear it again!
