Electronic rock n' roller J.E.F.F. made this solo project just a few months ago. During which time he began to write and record music, that lead to his new single "Sleepless", with current progress on working upon his debut album, among much more things in-store. J.E.F.F. himself talks about all of this music and other plans in the works too!
1. Please tell us about the history of your project and its members.
This is a solo project I started a few months ago.
2. What's the origin of the project's name?
My full name is Jefferson Fichou but everybody calls me "Jeff". My family name is almost impossible to pronounce for most Americans so I decided to keep it simple *laughs*.
3. Where is the project based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you would recommend?
I'm originally from France but I'm based out of Los Angeles. I feel like there isn't a particular "scene" here, I mean there is no dominant genre like it used to be in the 80's or 90's. It's still a big place for rock music though. If you're looking for some great local bands I would recommend checking out the guys from Polymorph (70's rock) and Urban Escape (alt/hard rock).
4. How would you describe your style?
Electronic rock n' roll.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
I just released my first single "Sleepless". The song comes with a music video as well. I wanted to introduce myself with some music but also some visual content. The track is like a blend of different music genres, it's a good introduction to my album. It's EDM, rock and pop at the same time.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
Yes, a lot! I'm currently working on my debut full album. It will be out by the end of the year. Meanwhile, I'm gonna release new tracks in the upcoming months on a regular basis. My next release is gonna be a cover of a classic hard rock tune. I can't wait to share all of this stuff with you guys.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have you planned anything out?
I'm still working on the music itself. Once I will be done with the album I will work on putting a band together and start touring. I'm still busy touring as a guitar player with other bands around California these days but my plan is to get started with this project at the beginning of 2019.
8. What plans do you have for the future as a project?
Right now I'm completely focused on the recording process. Then it's gonna be about finding the right musicians to support the project on stage and start touring as soon as possible.

10. What is it you'd like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?
My music is pretty simple, straightforward. It's all about disconnecting from reality during the time of a song.
