Beloved children's songs and nursery rhymes have been sung and known by children and families for generations. Children's music today continues to expand with new artists, new visions, new directions and even more music creativity, as reflected by one new album, "School of Fish," by Cynthia Haring and World Nation with the Sue Sue Sisters featuring the World Nation Children's Choir.

"School of Fish" is a collection of 10 tracks that are children's songs, but not those you know. Most of the songs are originals, written in a variety of song styles. They are fun, silly, tender and loving songs for kids and really everyone else ready to listen and enjoy. The songs include such originals as "Happy Birthday Mooey," "I Just Wanna Hold a Piglet," "Cockadoodle Doo Doo," "Pouty Face," "My Little One", and "Caught Me in Rollers." These songs are among those that producer Katia Valdeos chose for the collection, and they are arranged quite well. Each song is original and unique, and all are very upbeat in tone and styling. Two cover songs also appear on the album: "Rainbow Connection." made popular by Kermit of the Muppets, and a beautiful "Heal the World/We Are the World" medley. Both songs have fresh, new arrangements and are exceptionally performed.

Probably one of the more important tracks on the album is "Song for Erza," which was written for a little boy named Ezra who passed away of cancer at age two and a half. The track is moving and rather touching and a definite knob turner that makes you want to go back again and again to enjoy the track for all it is worth. The multi-layered vocals are full of intricate, refreshing harmonies, while the backing instrumentation is beautiful and downright entertaining.

Producer Katia Valdeos has done extensive production work on this release. Her creative genius guiding performance and song arrangements reflects caring, sensitivity, and creativity throughout the album.  Let it be known that "School of Fish," in its first month alone, placed at #4 on the Billboard West Central Heatseeker Regional chart, at #7 on Billboard's Atlantic South Heatseeker Regional chart, and managed to get a Hot Shot designation at #25 on a recent Kids Album chart, competing against major companies like Disney and even popular film soundtracks.

All the tracks on the “School of Fish” release are catchy and upbeat. They are full of originality making them engaging and meaningful, as well as fun loving. The listener can surely hear how much detail and care went into creating such a fine album. After playing "School of Fish" through a few times, the songs begin to grow on you, and you find yourself wanting to hear them again with hopes of some new material from this group. Perhaps some new World Nation songs will follow in the years to come.

While digital streaming is an option, physical copies of the album may be purchased via CD Baby or Amazon. The physical album includes some fine artwork within a 6-panel CD cover and 16-page booklet with the lyrics, photos, notes, and photos of the children and musicians featured on the album, as well as a photo of little Ezra! All in all, there is a nice mix of tracks that really makes "School of Fish" special - most of all, it is an album that both kids and adults will enjoy.

Sangeeta Kaur has released already four full-length albums but this fourth addition is a crossover album merely titled "Compassion". How is it exactly a crossover release, while it's been created with an elaborate orchestral and the choral magic of the Budapest Studio Orchestra, it's Budapest Studio Choir and Sterling Ensemble as well. Thus forth, it's raised her signature vocal works to levels that some would call "angelic". Sangeeta Kaur is an award winning singer/songwriter and producer to top of it off, but not only is she as such, she has worked with renowned composer and producer Nicolas Neidhardt, who is featured on the piano and keyboard. Providing choral compositions is Duy Tran and Danaë Vlasse. Together this group of crafty musicians have created something that is truly as the title calls it best "Compassion".

It's an album which provides such vocal efforts that Sangeeta Kaur's voice work is just truly emotional and deeply moving really. As it comes directly from the depths of her heart and soul. Bringing that altogether with such tracks as "Rise Up", "Transcendence", "May The Long Time Sun", and "We Are One", are just the grasp of reality that is purely sung within these tracks alone. The rest off this 10-track release are just as grand except these selections provided are more captivating.

The work done by the orchestrations and the like is flawless, capturing just so much at once. Melodic tone with harmonic guidance just make this album “Compassion”, just gripping and rather stunning at times even. There are just so many ways to put this album into a variety of wording it is hard not to name off every single one of them. It’s just how magically and mesmerizing it is with the performers and entertainers makes it shine on through.

As a whole “Compassion”, is an album of sorts that Sangeeta Kaur has made possible and probably one that many will adore and cherished as well. She has certainly made a fan out of me, after hearing the play through alone. IF soft and soothing is for you then by all means feel free to check out an album that is purely a “Compassion”, in itself.

Sabino or SABINO has returned with an all new album titled "Yin". To accompany this release is of course a single made video of the track titled what else "Yin Yang". This Latin American artist has urban offering's that only he can create with this style of music. Which is of his own creation he calls "Sab-Hop", a Latin inspired mix of urban hip hop crossed with Spanish lyrics that makes the music soar through and through. Take for instance his single video for "Yin Yang", the song is your typical upbeat tone with urban inspirations all over it really. The added Spanish lyrics makes it more groovy to the ear, whilst all else about it make it very modernized and hip. Hoping into the number of other tracks off “Yin”, would likely bring the like as "Conmigo Siempre", "Jalo", and "Pelicula". Like the single video release of “Yin Yang”, these other tracks are a lot like it. Having similarities in the tone, being catchy, upbeat, and overall very urban inspired.   Vocalization wise the way SABINO performs the tracks is upfront and very straight forward, making his tone of voice be heard loud and clear. His vocal chords carry along with the melodies and harmonies of the tracks and music played, making it come together full circle as it fits well enough. As such, the material as it were just creates within itself, making it all be very original and not boring. It becomes more or less entertaining that you can enjoy it, with each play through. “Yin”, is a solid piece of work by SABINO and it long overdue wait period was likely well deserved upon what this release has got here.

Up and coming heavy metal rockers KILLIN' CANDACE are ready to get their message across while making their mark upon this scene of the metal and rock community. Thus, as of currently the band is hard at work upon their next release, expected in 2020 with touring to follow. Frontman vocalist/guitarist Aaron Lee talks of the band's new music coming together and plans ahead.

1. First off, what's it like having a slight similarity in name's to another band called "Kissing Candice”?

So when I named my band back in 2014 I wasn't even aware of this bands existence or their sound. It wasn’t until about 2016 that someone mentioned them, and by then I’d already committed to the Killin’ Candace name, which has relevance (don’t worry, nobody got killed! lol), it ties into the songs, sound, and I didn’t feel a need to change or adjust it because I never selected this band name with the intention of almost copying someone else, or plagiarizing their name. Yes I appreciate that it’s close, but its still different, plus we are two separate bands and that’s where the story ends.

2. Taking it from there the band would self-release their debut EP "Tales of Heartbreak and Homicide", with it coming a single and video for the track "Miss Deception", tell me about these releases and if any of the tracks will be seen on the upcoming follow-up?

I was excited and relieved to finally get in the studio and get this EP recorded, because the songs sat around for a long time and it became difficult to make progress with the project. I was in this crazy phase in my life where things in my personal life had spiraled way out of control, I had completely ran myself into the ground and dug my own grave. Thankfully I woke up at the right time and decided to get on a better path and that’s the only reason why I’m still alive and the music got released. Also, I’m totally guilty of being that guy that was happy to play and get that stage time, but ended up getting so carried away helping out everyone else’s band progress that I lost sight of my own priorities. I eventually got to the point where I wasn’t fulfilled, so I quit everything I had going on and started to put 100% commitment and enthusiasm into Killin’ Candace and building this machine.

I feel like the songs on the debut EP are definitely strong enough to make it onto the record, and very commercially viable. "Tales of Heartbreak & Homicide" for me was more me making my mark back on the music scene and getting a starting point, and just kinda letting people know that yeah it might have looked like I was down and out for a while, but you’ll never kill my passion for music and songwriting - so get a load of this.

3. Speaking of the follow-up different sources say it is a debut album and some of your social media posts claim it as a debut EP, as far as the "Straight from the Underground" release goes, which is it?

The truth to that is I’m currently torn whether to do another EP, or if it's time to just smash a full length record together, and because I’m in a whole different phase now to what I was writing back in my darker days I would prefer an album to feel more fluent and have relevance rather than seeming a little bi-polar with some darker, harder-edged songs and then some more upbeat vibrant ones. So I'm still negotiating with myself to work out the best way to present the upcoming “Straight from the Underground” release. Maybe we’ll do a split EP featuring everything old and new?! To be continued...

4. Whilst you are hard at work, currently in the studio working on said release, whereabouts are you in that process?

We’ve just completed production on the title track and I can 100% say as a songwriter and a player I’ve matured these past few years. The sound is evolving too, even in a short space of time - it has a much more energetic feel while still keeping that aggressive vibe to it. So you could say we’re at a half way point for having an album’s worth of material together. I'm not in a big rush to knock it out as I'd rather the songs come together naturally and organically, and they be the best they can be, rather than rushing a product just to get it done. I feel that your first album should always be the most impactful, as it’s the one that’s gonna put you on the map, and either make you or break you.

5. Do you know how many songs will be on it, picked out how the album artwork will look like and when it will come forth to the public?

This is all in the works currently, but there will be 9 songs on the record for sure. I have been thinking of the video concept/theme more than anything right now - the first single and music video will be for the song “Straight from the Underground”. Without giving too much away or ruining the game plan....we’re gonna drop the single, accompanied with a promo music video for it, and then come in hard with the record. You could call it the KILLIN’ CANDACE 2020 campaign! Haha!

6. Aside from that, you have also signed on with Music Gallery International, being friends with founder Shawn Barusch. Why go ahead with getting signed with them and what will they bring to the table?

I met Shawn back in 2016 and was aware that MGI had gotten a few bands some great exposure and fantastic opportunities presented to them (as far as touring goes). So when Shawn gave me a call randomly and his proposal was to sign us to MGI with the intention of helping us achieve a record deal, along with touring I really didn’t have to think twice about partnering up. I feel that Shawn’s genuine passion for Rock and Metal alone will allow us to make massive strides quickly - as a team - we are very aligned in that sense.  I’m very grateful for the approach, obviously I believe in my project, I feel we have strong songs and a great new sound to offer.

But at the same time KC is very much an "up and coming" band, still grinding away, trying to get our name out there...so we didn’t have any offers on the table as far as management goes, nor were we aware anyone was keeping tabs on us. I was always prepared to try and take this project as far as I could independently, but when you are approached by someone in the business that has a great network, along with solid publicists and a sure game plan you can’t turn that down those opportunities. The timing of all of this seemed perfect and I believe in MGI’s game plan to help put Killin’ Candace on the map as one of the newer, breakout bands of 2020.

7. Upon listening to your works in the single/video for "Miss Deception", it brought to mind likeness to that of Bullet for my Valentine, being a native from the U.K. would you say that's the style you were aiming for or a whole another style choice altogether?

It’s funny because BFMV are a band I admire and I wouldn’t necessarily regard myself as a hardcore fan, but I always loved the songwriting and compositions. The way in which Matt Tuck executes his vocals with such intent - it creates realism and honesty within the songs - so this is something I always thought was great. Maybe to some degree you could say I adopted that style from such frontmen as Matt Tuck, Davey Havok, Edsel Dope, to name a few.

I was never aiming for a particular style and never had a game plan with the sound - I literally just let my wounds bleed and this is what we got. I knew my influences would play a part and I’d started writing in drop C#, which is naturally a heavier feel than what I’d written previously (which was more hard rock, punk influenced stuff). The sound from the first EP is definitely quite driven and upbeat, but the songwriting and lyrical content is in a darker vein because I was writing as a means of therapy, for things that were going on within me and around me.

I always try to be as unique as I can (even in a world where everything feels so generic, and so many genres or products have already been achieved)...so this is why I label Killin’ Candace as our very own genre of “Love Hate Rock ’N’ Roll”.

8. What else can be expected from you guys for the rest of this year that we can keep an eye out for and why?

I really do hope that we are advertised as an up and coming band to watch out for because I feel the music speaks for itself. Especially in an era where everybody has become so self-obsessed through social media etc, and we really are living in the age of vanity…I want people to know that we’re not just another generic Rock band, and we’re not here to get our ego’s fed. We write real songs, for real people and tell our story exactly how it is. So on that note you’ll have a brand new album’s worth of songs ready to go for 2020 with plans to tour to support the album release. We're ready to get one hell of a message across while stamping our mark on the rock and metal scene. ;)

Roxanne, an Ottawa based independent singer, songwriter, artist and music producer, whose style is in short pop but with dance as well. Take for instance the club scene of the 70's and 80's and out of the many top 40 hit's of those era's and you end up with "Like Suga". This being her newest and latest piece of works, it being said to be bold, daring, and a fresh single take on the pop/dance genres.

Upon listening in you do get those vibrations of the 70's and 80's slightly, the track's music containing such momentum of energy. Whereas the vocalization provided is done clean yet upbeat in tone. The styling choice that Roxanne uses within this particular track, is familiar yet fresh as said about it already. Her ways with the beats of the music, just crafts together this mixture that makes it all work at once. Like how the vocal chords and music play off one another, the beats and voice just create this surging amount of energy that a lot of clubs would surely spin about.

The track pretty much just consists of everything, such energy, vocals that never seem to quit, and catchy harmonies with mesmerizing melodies that just bounce off everything else. In other words, it’s one of those tracks, you can easily get stuck in your head, but becomes a likable one. If at that, Roxanne as an artist with all else she does, makes this newest addition of material that more hype.

Roxanne's track and material in general sounds a lot like Debbie Gibson mixed with Cherrelle. If you dug those chicks then perhaps you could get a little into Roxanne’s take of the pop/dance genres too. Her material has so much to offer as a whole, “Like Suga”, is another one of those tracks that will be remembered and danced along with for hours on end if not years to come.

"Heaven" featuring a guest spot from Jonny Craig is the newest single to come from PAUL BARTOLOME. He's an up and coming artist creating his own music, with some talks about his previous content, since our last chat about a year ago, down to all of the details on this new single and future planning that is ahead.

1. It has been 1 year since we last spoke, during which time you released your debut solo album "Gravity". So how has the reception been towards it?

The reception towards that record blew my mind, it was something that I really just wanted to do for fun and almost a challenge you know? To make the best  record I could and I was so particular on who worked on that record with me, the direction/sound I wanted it to have and the whole space concept. To me it was a very "Musical" album.. Lots of big instrumental parts, huge theatrical choruses and elements in the songs, I basically set out to make a movie score and that's what I think whenever I listen to that record, It reminds me of a huge Blockbuster Movie. But the fact people were so supportive of me someone  they really don't know much about musically, the whole journey and also such an outgoing project like "Gravity" meant the world to me. And I couldn't be more thankful with the reaction the record got and it definitely made me want to take this career path seriously and move forward with my Solo career.

2. Aside from this album, you are in the process of a follow-up album, what sort of details would you like to disclose about it?

All I can say is this new music is on another level to anything I've done. I feel like this is my defining moment as an artist and what will prove to people I deserve to be in this industry. I have never been more excited about music than I am right now, everything about it has been  exactly as I wanted it to be from the team of people that have worked on it, to the songs, to the visuals... I've worked so hard at making sure this is what  I want to be as an artist and I can't wait for people to hear this new music and see how I've grown in this industry in the short time I've been a part of it.

3. Off this next album comes it's lead single titled "Heaven", featuring a guest spot from Jonny Craig, tell me how did the two of you decide to work together on this track?

I hit Jonny up a while ago, it was actually in the preparation period for "Gravity" that I messaged him about a collab, He was down but at the time it never worked out due to scheduling issues which actually worked in our favour because now I couldn't Imagine him being on any of the other songs apart from "Heaven". So it actually worked out well. Jonny brought such an great vibe to the song and gave so much heart and energy in his performance that it really took the track to new heights. It wasn't  just a random feature for the sake of a name you... he actually brought something to the song that was missing, And he's an awesome dude and just around great guy so I couldn't be happier to have him on board with the track! I also had a good freind of mine that one and only "Rick Wilde" do a bunch of backing vox on the track which again just added a whole new dimension and vibe to it. I'm really stoked to have such a legend be a part of the sound and part of bringing my visions to life! So shout out to Rick for all the support and help on this new music!

4. What about the actual track itself, "Heaven", does the title have any reference to heaven or does it have a whole another meaning altogether?

"Heaven" is about being in a bad place and having that one person who can always bring you out of it no matter what. Someone who will cancel out all the bad and make you feel like a king. It's quite a simple and straight forward meaning/story to the song but effective and I think a lot of people will be able to relate to it as soon as they hear it and will probably think of one person that does that for them as well. It's basically a love song but without being the typical "Ballad" style song, I wanted to do something different so I had the lyrics already written then I came up with the chord progression and then to keep it from being the typical ballad I made sure to make it an energetic Pop/Rock anthem but still convey the emotion behind it.

5. Will this track be accompanied by a music video, that being an actual video, not lyrical video etc.

No official music video for this track, but I have got the awesome guys over at Ignite Design that have done another amazing Stand out lyric video for me which by the time this is out will be up on YouTube so if you haven't yet.. What are you doing!? haha. I might have just shot an Official music video for another song though.. but I can't talk about that just yet. Only thing I will say is people aren't gonna expect that type of video or song by me, I am very excited for that.

6. Besides working on your own music, you have been doing some work with a band called Beyond Unbroken, how did this happen and how is that work coming along?

Yeah that was something really cool that kinda just came out of Me and Monte going back and forth when he was doing his feature on "Offline" and "Lost In Space" off of the "Gravity" record. We kept in contact and would send ideas back and forth and they had started writing there new record sent me a song I was digging the vibe they were going for a lot and I ended up tracking a bunch of backing vocals and some production stuff on it and sent it over to the guys and they were really feeling it, so have been doing  that for a few of there new tracks, and then one thing led to another and I ended up flying out and staying with Monte and Michael for a week and we just wrote and wrote!  It was an awesome experience, a great time and ended up with some dope tracks out of it. They also happened to be out in Arizona recording there new record a couple months later the same time I was so we got together and had a lot to drink and again just a good time, Love those guys an will always support them and be there to help out anyway I can. So shout out to those guys!

7. One of the members of Beyond Unbroken, Monte Money and you had made another project called Mirrored is that still a thing in the works?

So, "MIR?ORED" is still a thing, Monte is no longer a part of it due to wanting to put his all in to Beyond Unbroken! But it has changed a lot since we started the project but yeah.. I can't say too much about it yet, all I'll say is it's me and my best mate Ryan (which you can follow on insta @ryanthompsonmusic for all updates on the project) as a duo and it is HEAVY, he's taking care of the instrumentals and I'm taking the vox, It is by far the heaviest thing I've ever done vocals on and I'm excited to show people what we've done cos they definitely wont expect it. That's all I can say, Apart from if you like Heavy music then get Stoked.. Cos it's coming!

8. Going back to this new album, when can we expect it's release?

Again I can't say too much about it, but like I said it's a whole new direction, a whole new sound, a new feel/look, It's just Me! And everything I want people to associate with me as an artist. I've never been more excited for people to hear what I've been working on, more updates will be coming but it is worth the wait.

9. What was it like working with producer Matt Good, what did he do that you just had to have him a part of it?

Working with Matt Good was just an insane experience, to go from doing the "Gravity" record and "Goodbye to the Quiet Life" EP in my home studio all on our own to working with such a well respected, well educated in his craft an just all round awesome guy was the best thing for this project. I tracked the bonus song "Lost in Space" off "Gravity" with him in the final stages of that record, and since then I knew I had to come do a whole Record with him, he has an insane attention to detail and just knows how to take Good songs to Great songs. He really helped the development of this album and really brought my vision to life. So I owe a lot to Matt Good cos he put an insane amount of passion and hard work into these songs. So huge shout out and thank you to Matt for that. One of the best in the business right now.

10. Your debut album ended up charting the top 20, what was that like and do you think this album will do the same?

Yes that was a crazy experience in itself, I never once spoke of or even joked about the album placing in any kind of charts.. I didn't even know it had until a fan messaged me a screenshot saying how awesome it was. I couldn't believe it when I saw so me, my fiance and her brother all got on our phones went straight to the iTunes Rock charts to see and yeah there it was.. Top 20 sitting at #16 with the lead single "Unbreakable" (feat. Sophy Streater) [My fiance] sitting at #110. These might not be big or high numbers to some people these days but Damn.. I couldn't believe it and it was the first time it hit me that the hard work was paying off.. and that the fans really are supporting me through this. I couldn't be more thankful for the support for that record and for me on my journey in this industry, I love my fans and really couldn't do it without you! So thank you to everyone who'supported and continues to support me!

11. Where do you see this solo project in the next 5 years?

That's a hard one... I'm always striving to better myself. No matter how many views something gets or how many streams or sales there's always someone else out there who' got higher or done better. The moment you start hitting higher numbers or place in the charts is definitely not the time you can relax and take it easy... it's the time you work harder than ever before because this industry is so tough and there's so many amazing artists out there that you have to keep up and have to stay fresh to even stand a chance at competing.  In 5 years time I can see myself still grinding, still putting my all into everything I do and hoping that everyone still sticks with me through it all and that we gain a whole load of new people to bring along on this crazy journey!

12. What about other plans for this year, have anything you want to express?

There's a lot to come... Keep an eye on all my socials for updates but there is a lot on its way.. It's going to be a very busy and a very exciting year.

13. Any other things you want to get off your chest you want to say before wrapping up?

Just that again I'm so greatful for the support I've been and continue to be shown, and I hope you're all ready for the next chapter of my story in music, and I hope you all love it as much as I do!

Pop band with some punk attitude is the perfect combo for one like EyeCandy. Let alone that name, this band just want to make stuff, from creating more music, playing shows, and just loving the life of it all! Find out all of the details and more of the discussion below!

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Well, my name is C. T. McCallister. I am the front man of EyeCandy. And EyeCandy was originally the name of my solo acoustic gig I did all throughout high school. At the time, I was unable to get any of my friends (we were all freshman in high school) to commit to a band how I would like. But in 2013, the year I graduated, I linked up with a friend of mine who was venturing into producing music. I recorded three of my originals as if there were five of me creating a full band. It was all for the sake of creativity so I did absolutely nothing with them, until 2016, that is. In 2016, I kind of re-found my songs and showed them to a few friends. All of which told me they would love to be in a band and play those songs live. As of 2019,  we have recorded a 7 song album (broken things, 2017), released an EP (Angst 2019), released a music video (Dead Weight), and we have had a few member changes. Our current lineup consists of Caleb Marshall (guitar and vocals), Noah Watts (Bass), Collin Correia (Drums), and myself. Caleb was the first person I showed my songs to back in 2016, this band is his baby as much as it is mine. Noah came along this year, I met him back in January and he is the most incredible bassist I know and the nicest guy. Collin joined us back in the fall of last year, typical drummer. Loves disc golf and is the chillest dude around.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Honestly, I just thought of it one day. Booooooring.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are out of Grand Rapids, MI. The music scene is great in the mitten. A lot of people care about it and there are so many hardworking bands. The hardest part for us is that we don't really fall in the two major genres in our state. Metal is huge and indie pop is huge in a niche sort of way. But we love to garner attention from both sides, we can give a good show to either audience. As far as locals we recommend, there are so many lovely ones. LOKELLA, Leland Blue, Boy From School, The American Hotel System, Clyde Park Avenue, Often Home, Michigan Left. To name a few, honestly the music scene in MI has so much talent its stupid.

4. How would you describe your style?

We are a pop band with a punk attitude. An alternative band with influences from pop, rock, and punk.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

Like I said, we released "broken things" back in 2017 and we put out "Angst" this year. People can expect honesty and real talk about real problems and real feelings. My goal in writing my lyrics is to be as upfront and real as possible.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yes.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Not anything solid at the moment. We have a lot bouncing around on the drawing board, though.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Keep writing, keep playing, keep touring. We love this life.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Our music is on all the major music outlets. Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Bandcamp, etc. We also have our music video for "Dead Weight" on YouTube. Check that out! It was a load of fun to film.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

Two things. They matter and I am happy they exist. Our music is all about internal and external relational struggles. We want anyone hearing us to be able to relate to what we have been through or felt but also hear the hope in our words. To hear that there is healing and a reason to keep living, learning, and growing. To know that they are not alone in feeling or struggling the way they do.

Having to change and evolve as they prefer best THE COMPROMISE is one act whose material is one to be proud of. As they would have it, their new album is set to come forth in the fall titled "Horizons". A few shows have already been played with a tour abroad soon to occur once the album is out. In short the band is looking for the real opportunity here to showcase to the world who they are and what their music is all about really. Discover what else is being said about this act below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

We first met in 2014, when Cris, the singer, replied to a post on Facebook asking for a singer for a band really close to his place. We immediately got the right feeling together. Edoardo, the main guitarist, joined us 6 months later and that’s where we started.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Actually the band has a really heterogeneous music background, that’s where the name come from, "The Compromise" was to find a sound that we all can considerate ours.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are based in Torino, northwest of Italy. The scene maybe here is not as hot as it were a few years ago, that’s why we immediately choose to compose and perform in English and try to spread our word in many different places. Anyway if you really love music, you can find what you need even where you don’t even think about.

4. How would you describe your style?

It’s not an easy task for us to define our own sound...we don’t even want to be tagged as something because we like to change and evolve. Anyway someone said about that "sleek, catchy and powerful", it seems positive feedback , isn’t it?

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have recently released a new video on YouTube, the track it’s called "Torn Apart" and it will be part of our brand new album. We wanted to create a new experience for our listeners so we tried to give them the chance to be IN the video and participate to it. In fact "Torn Apart" allows you to choose your own ending… find the video and everything will be easy and clear. Give us the chance to amaze you all with our work and you won’t regret it!

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yeah, we are going to release a full album in autumn. "Horizons" will contain a full experience of what our music is. We are sure you will find something interesting between all our new "little experiments", we are very proud of it.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

By now we have only planned a few shows in Italy but our intentions are to have a tour abroad as soon as the album comes out. We don’t already know if it will bring us in the states or across Europe, we hope both obviously.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

We are looking for a real opportunity to show up the world who we are and our music. Some big festival maybe? We will be pleased to share the stage with the bands inspired us nowadays.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

We are on every digital platform Spotify, Apple Music etc… you can find our video on YouTube and follow us on Instagram, Facebook and any social, we always try to find new ideas for our fans like contest and opportunity to get our brand new merchandising!

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first
time?

The melodies, the power,  maybe we can give you something you have never heard before. We will give you all of us, that’s no doubt about it.

Swedish thrashing melodic death metal act Zephyra who released their new single "The Darkest Black" (2017) would gain success, building upon their two previously released albums "Mental Absolution" (2014) and follow-up "As The World Collapses" (2016). This would then them going on to write and record for their third album to date and release as of recently titled "Fall. Rise. Conquer", bringing with it a run of shows consisting within a tour staple, along with such energy and attitude that it is no wonder this album is getting the band even more success and notability. As such, take such tracks like "Waiting For Nothing", "Paper Crown", "A Letter For You", and "My Pain", are probably the select few that have an edge that just erupts at once. The sound of the music and vocalization clashes together so nicely, it makes the music so worth wild it is hard to resist it at all. Other examples of this would have to be the singles that came from this album "Dreams Denied", "Fånge i Frihet", and "Nothing Else Matters". These along with the others said already, are just the batch of tracks are make this album stand out as a whole. The edginess, intensity, it all consumes the listener at ears length, really showcasing a rawness unlike any other band out there. When it comes down to it, these guys sound like a mixing between Arch Enemy crossed with Nervosa. It all fits together that the similarities are unique at times. In short, Zephyra’s album that is “Fall. Rise. Conquer” is just one of those releases that stands it’s own accordance, making the band bring forth something that is familiar and similar in ways but still original too.
