1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Keep Up is made up of 3 energetic, music-lovers. An audio engineer, A bar-tender, and an Apple Genius. We’ve all known each other since grade school, but only in the last few years have we seriously started making music and marketing ourselves as Keep Up.
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
Keep Up is more than a band name. For us, it’s a life style. If you ever get a chance to see Keep Up LIVE, you’ll find out, real quick what the band name is about. We are all super talented and switch instrument mid song, on stage. yes. We play each others instruments during our LIVE performance to keep the show lively and exciting. Overall, we are highly influenced by energetic pop-punk music with influences dating from Simple Plan to David Bowie, from Metallica to Zeppelin and Blink 182 to The Ramones.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
Keep Up is based out of Syracuse, NY. A town where music is constantly evolving. The scene here in Syracuse has excepted Keep Up as a ‘must see’ type of band. With each band member deeply intertwined within the community, we are constantly recognized for hard work, dedication and supporting other local music. What goes around, comes around. As a recommendation, Check out 3 bands we are playing our album release show with; closure., Between Now and Forever, and Hope Is.
4. How would you describe your style?
We would like to describe Keep Up as an all original flavor, kind of band. We try and create music that’s unique to us, However, we have been described as many things. One of my new favorites that I heard was a mix of Drake Bell fronting Green Day with a hint of Avril Lavigne influence.

Right now, we have released a 3 songs self-titled EP on iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music and more. We are in the middle of releasing a full length album that will be released September 6th, 2019. At this very moment, our fans can go pre-order our album for $4.99 and instantly get access to 2 brand new songs “Déjà Vu” and “Shut Ur Mouth”.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
Well, of course we do. We are always working on new music. In fact, we had twice as much music written for this album. We only used what we thought was appropriate for our fans to hear first. We are always evolving and creating new ways to make music and new ways to stream line the writing process.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
Yes, however, currently we only travel throughout the United States. We plan to get out to new territory soon. Our current tour consists of 10 dates in the north eastern area of USA. You can catch us playing new music from the album coming this September. Check out these dates at keepuporshutup.com/tour.
