Insolace Tells Lots in the Discussion of Music and Much More!
All over the place band INSOLACE is one that uses such energy, angry, personal methods and emotions that go beyond, it is no wonder they are here today. With this input out there, their debut track titled "Calm" is out and doing rather well. Another single called "Jaded", is expected soon with even more material on the way as well! Find out what else was said in the discussion below!
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
"Insolace" was born out of guitarist Conor Hyde's previous band, "Oceans". No time was wasted after "Oceans" ended, drastic changes were made and a new line up was born! This band is made up of Millie Cook - vocals, Conor Hyde and Regan Wharton - guitars, Sam Bryant - bass and Onyi Olisa - drums.
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
The name "Insolace" is essentially "In" and "Solace" just squashed together. The name reflects our lyrical content and is a fitting name that relates to what we're about! We've found our solace through our own personal struggles, and we hope our music can help our audience in achieving their own solace too.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
We're based out of London and the scene here is vast to say the least! The bar for talent has been set pretty high in London and we've been lucky enough to share the stage with some amazing bands. If we were to name some promising bands out of our scene: "Sun Arcana", "Blue Eyed Giants", "Bellevue Days", "Chapter and Verse".
4. How would you describe your style?
Energized, hooky, melodic, angry, personal, authentic and unique with plenty of emotional depth!
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
We dropped our debut release in September titled, "Calm" and the song actually did really well! It's made us hyped for our next release on November 26th which would be for our second single called "Jaded".
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
We're currently in the process of releasing some singles that we recorded at Middle Farm Studios in Devon back in June, so there's definitely content that's on it's way to you! After we release these singles we'll be keen to get back in the studio again so I should hope there will be regular releases from us for the foreseeable future!
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
We have a tour idea planned for the beginning of next year but I can't divulge too much about that at this moment in time... This month we have a double single launch planned to mark our next release. We'll be playing The Grace in London on November 26th, then on November 27th we'll be playing The Western in Brighton.
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
We feel the future is looking bright for us as we're in high spirits after the successful release of our debut single, "Calm". We plan to drop the odd single here and there within the near future as well as ambitious plans for a national tour!
9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
We're available across all streaming services and we even have a fresh music video that we made our selves for our single, "Calm", which is available to view on Facebook and YouTube!
You can stream or watch "Calm" at the links below:

YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAVPQyiX3ZM
10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?
Although we write our music for ourselves and the songs are personal to us, we'd still like our fans to take a personal experience or interpretation away from our music when hearing it. We'd love for our music to move someone in a way that is very personal to the individual, we're always keen to hear how our fans interpret our music.
