Fox Violet Says Lots About the Music Creativity and Playing Live!

Dark pop rock band FOX VIOLET have a few singles out and about, with an EP in the process currently! Plans are already set for the band to play aimlessly this year because they enjoy playing extensively and live in front of a crowd! Find out what else has been said from the band below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Fox Violet was started by myself, Thea just over a year ago. It used to be another project and evolved over time into Fox Violet. I was looking for a sound that felt like lucid dreaming but with a bite. Last year Phoebe (vox/violin) Max (bass) and Tito (guitars) joined the project and we have all evolved together. It’s been an amazing journey so far. We are currently working on new music.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Fox Violet combines and stands for a number of things; violets symbolize fragility and delicacy and as a color represent dreams. Foxes are fierce, nocturnal and majestic. The combination of both of these stands for an obsession with lucid dreaming and nostalgia, existing at the pinnacle between sleep and wake but with a fierce commitment to truth.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are based out of LA. There are so many to mention that we love! Little Galaxies are a fav of ours. Its super nice to develop friendships with other bands.

4. How would you describe your style?

Definitely 90's influenced, grunge with a spice. Phoebe came up with the term ‘princess goth’ and we love that. We definitely love black but with a fun twist.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

Right ow there are 4 singles out. The sound is dreamy and ambient but also with a dark pop-rock edge.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yep! We are crafting an EP as we speak.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We play extensively and love to play live. We are aiming to tour this year, watch this space!

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

The most important thing is to create music that hopefully really connects with people, and to that end we want to tour as much as possible, and keep recording songs that we feel passionate about.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

We are on all music platforms and you can stream us on Spotify at:

https://open.spotify.com/artist/4GkvtpqQgkSPCt7aXEes9r.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

We want this feeling of being swept into another world, but the familiarity of talking a close friend.
