Despite The Fallen Says a Good Amount of Things About Music and Creativity!

Post grunge band DESPITE THE FALLEN have a debut EP out titled "Isolated" with a few singles out as well. The plans otherwise is to keep growing and exposing themselves delivering the best music as they possibly can do. Discover what more was said about their creativity and music below.

1. Where are you based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are based out of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Known for its eclectic music scene, the layout tends to be more populated by indie/alternative bands, however its rock scene is nothing to overlook. From Hometown Titans such as Cage the Elephant, Close neighbors Black Stone Cherry, and then several amazing local bands as well, It is clear that Bowling Green is some sort of musical mecca.

2. How would you describe your style?

Our style can be a little elusive at times, especially with the growth we’ve experienced on our new stuff. But usually we are served up as Post Grunge along the likes of Breaking Benjamin and 10 Years.

3. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

So far we have released our debut E.P. “Isolated” featuring 6 songs, as well as having released 3 singles recently. "Sign of Life", "Divide", and then we did a Cover for a Cause and released a stripped down version of “Drown” originally by Bring Me The Horizon and we are donating all proceeds from that to Battle22, a non-profit organization dedicated to combating Veteran Suicide and raise awareness for PTSD.

4. Do you have any new music in the works?

Constantly. Regardless of our show load, we always have new music being crafted behind the scenes. We are very meticulous and somewhat perfectionists however, so we have been known to take our time in releasing such music, simply because we respect our fans immensely and only wish to deliver them the best possible version of ourselves. We all think that is very important especially in our short term shelf-life throwaway culture that the world has kind of shifted to lately, We want to release stuff that we feel has the best chance of standing the test of time and sticking around.

5. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We are sticking to a regional basis currently as we finish up the studio time for our next release, but will definitely be taking it out on the road as soon as its finished.

6. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Honestly, just to keep growing and delivering the best possible music that we can. That has been our goal from the start, as we believe touring and all of those goals all fall second nature to the true intention of being an artist which is just to release good art. Connecting with our fans, be it through streaming, CD's, radio, YouTube or even live shows, that’s all that matters to us.

7. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Our catalog is available on every digital outlet one might expect, Apple Music, Google Play, CDBaby, YouTube, Spotify, Pandora, Amazon, ETC. As for show announcements, Just follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay connected, and feel free to give us a shout and introduce yourself as well. We try to respond to every message we receive.

8. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

That is a good question, I believe a lot of our music has somewhat of a therapeutic nature, even if only from us exercising healing through creation for ourselves, that being said I guess I would want all of our listener’s to know they are not alone. No matter what they are going through, all of life’s messes, that they can connected again if even only for 3 minutes. That’s actually a big theme of “Isolated” in which at the root of all of Life’s hardships is this overwhelming feeling of being alone. We know how powerful that can be, and hope we can offer some sort of refuge from that.
