Never Knew Says Loads About This New Project!
Emotional, progressive yet melodic and metal like is what NEVER KNEW began as this project only back in 2019! But since this project has released a single called "Thrown Out", and an EP as well titled "Internal Relapse". More single releases are also in the works for the time being too. See what else the band had to say about this project and what is planned ahead!
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
This project started back in early 2019 just as a way to cope with my struggles of anxiety, depression and self-hatred. It is more of a solo project, however I work alongside a few incredible outside musicians that really help bring my ideas to life.
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
I’m honestly terrible at naming anything. So my girlfriend and I were making a list, she mentioned Never Knew. That one really stuck out to me and has more meaning. It’s really about not ever knowing why you are the way you are and asking why things happen in your life that you can’t control.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
I’m based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. The local music scene definitely isn’t as big as it used to be here. Glass Hands is for sure a band to check out. The emotion, range and riffs in their music is untouchable.
4. How would you describe your style?
Emotional, progressive, melodic and metal.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
Last year I released a single, "Thrown Out", that has more post-hardcore vibes. This past May, I released the EP ‘Internal Relapse’ that has more of a heavy melodic metalcore sound.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
Currently I’m working on some singles. I’m not entirely sure when they will be released, hopefully at least one in the next year.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
As of right now I do not have a live band, so no shows in the near future.
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
Just keep writing and releasing music people can connect with.
9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
The music is available on all major streaming sites. Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, YouTube, etc. - https://fanlink.to/NKofficialInternalRelapse.
10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?
That they connected to it in any way possible. Whether that be from throwing down to the heavy riffs or connecting with the words. Also allowing them to remember others struggle with their inner-selves and it’s about finding healthy alternatives to cope with it.
