Vessel Expresses Discussion on Summer Fest and Music!

Heavy metal band VESSEL have their debut EP with lots more coming soon. The band like many others will be taking part in this summer fest with a lot more in-store to come. Just see what else the band had to express upon the discussion below.

1. So how did you get involved with being a part of the "Bloody News Online Fest: Insane Summer Gathering 2021"?

The contact was made through our drummer, Mor Harpazi. One day he came to the studio saying that we were invited to be part of this cool festival called Bloody News. The name alone convinced us all almost immediately.

2. To those who may not be familiar with your band, can you give us a brief summary?

Sure. We are Vessel and we play Heavy Metal. Some people say we are old school-oriented due to the fact that you will notice a lot of influence from Judas Priest, Dio, and Iron Maiden in the sounding but there is a lot more behind it. This band is basically formed of immigrants, meaning that we all come from different parts of the globe and of course the result is a great mixture of cultural influences. If you listen carefully, you may hear some Spanish guitar lines in Overdrive or some tribal drums in Behind the Walls taken out of Brazil for example.

3. How would you describe your style?

Most would say that we sound like a heavy metal band. But honestly, we just play what we like, what we think will sound good.

4. What have you release so far and how can someone find your material online?

The first song we released was a Demo called Beast. After that, we released three Singles: Overdrive, Shape of the Devil, and Keep Running, which brought the attention of our Label, Golden Robot Records, Through them, we recently released our first EP, called "Behind The Walls", which includes five songs. All songs are available on all digital platforms. Just type Vessel Band on YouTube or Vessel on Spotify/Apple Music and you will easily find us.

5. Why should someone buy your works?

Well, I think that if one likes what we do, if we give someone a good experience listening to our songs, why not buy our content to support us? I mean, when you listen to a three minutes song, one may have the idea that that's it. But in fact, those three minutes means days of hard work to record, to have a cool artwork, to have it released properly with all the bureaucracy that comes along, etc. There's a cost in all that and lots of people working to make it happen besides the members of the band. When you buy a song or whatever, you give the recognition and the incentive to keep going.

6. How would you say you differ from other bands and artists on the scene?

Every band is unique in its own way. So are we. I think we are very honest and true with the sound we are making, bringing an identity to it.

7. What do you want to achieve as a band?

Total global domination! (joking...?) I mean this is what we love to do. So the more time we spend playing the happier we will be. That`s what we are looking for...just to go outside and play some music in a different city, meet new people, new places, new cultures. To be able to have that through your music would be a dream come true. That's what we want.

8. What does this next year have in-store for you guys?

We are planning to record some new material, maybe a full album. Hopefully, the corona situation will improve around the globe, allowing us to hit the road. It will be definitely a very important year for us.

9. Where can the fans and new comers find out more about you?

We are very active on our social media. You can send us a message on Instagram @Vesselband or add us on Facebook. You can find everything about us there and we promise to be nice.

10. Can you describe your band in just three words?

Well organized chaos.

Obsolete Theory Chats of Fest, Music, and More!

Inspirational band OBSOLETE THERORY combines the likes of black metal, doom metal, and death metal to create a style all their own. With that, they have released an array of content, and plan to take place in part of a summer fest! The band chats of this fest, their music and more.

1. So how did you get involved with being a part of the "Bloody News Online Fest: Insane Summer Gathering 2021"?

Sa’vaanth: In the simplest way: Kostya directly asked us. So, he offered us the opportunity to be part of the festival and we accepted. The other bands are great and the festival is well managed, so we are very happy to be part of this event!

2. To those who may not be familiar with your band, can you give us a brief summary?

Raygon: Our first years were less focused on a project and more experienced like a divertissement, hours of rehearsals enjoying music and shaping the sound.  From 2016 onwards, with the current line-up,  Obsolete Theory gradually became a solid core of people with heterogeneous ideas and tastes in music, that through fight and hate produce some nice music. It’s like showing to the listener the product of a brawl.

Daevil: We realized some nice stuff in the earlier years, with the past line-up: our first EP and a video clip, and our music was quite different than the newest one. And yes , we reached the latest sound shape with the current line-up since 2016.

3. How would you describe your style?

Sa’vaanth: Our roots are surely in Black Metal, but we don’t shut ourselves in any boundaries . We like to move into Doom Metal, Death Metal and wherever the inspiration calls us. I would define our music as Post Black Metal because “Post” can be “everything” in this sense.

4. What have you release so far and how can someone find your material online?

Daevil: I’ll be very professional right now answering this question:

2012: Demo 2012 -EP- (Unsigned)

2013: The Wraith Beyond -Videoclip-

2016: Prophecy (V.18:6) -Videoclip-

2018: MUDNESS -LP-(My Kingdom Music)

2019: The Mirror (V.21:6) -Videoclip-

2021: DAWNFALL -LP-(My Kingdom Music)

You can find all our stuff on YouTube and Bandcamp (inclusive of the earlier works) and of course on Spotify, Apple music etc regarding the latest ones. Still there’s also some very obsolete ways to have our stuff and enjoy our music: to search for our CDs in the physical or virtual shops, asking us directly, or even coming to our gigs.

5. Why should someone buy your works?

Daevil: For we are the most  beautiful ones.

OW: And We have awesome album covers!

Sa’vaanth: Well, it’s hard to find a good answer! I simply say that if someone really likes our music it would be the right  reward if he/she decides to support us buying our works. We always spend a lot of effort, time and resources in songwriting, arrangement and production and it’s very motivating when people support you.

6. How would you say you differ from other bands and artists on the scene?

Daevil: Like for the previous question: we are the most beautiful ones.

Raygon: And we have the best album covers!

7. What do you want to achieve as a band?

Sa’vaanth: To be appreciated just for making the music we like to create and play , with no compromise.

Daevil: To be honest we don’t often speak about what we would like to achieve. Probably it’s something like a taboo, you know… But I’m pretty sure everyone of us would strongly like to play gigs in the greatest Metal events one day, like Wacken, Brutal Assault, Summer Breeze and so on,  in front of thousands of people wildly headbanging and screaming our songs.

8. What does this next year have in-store for you guys?

Sa’vaanth: Currently we are already working on new stuff! We’re collecting several ideas from everyone of us and we’re shaping new material. Meanwhile we’re also thinking about where to move our next step as soon as we're ready.

9. Where can the fans and new comers find out more about you?

Sa’vaanth: We are present on Facebook and Instagram (not TikTok, we are too obsolete for that!), we also have a band YouTube channel and Bandcamp page where you can find our unsigned stuff. For the signed music we are present in the YouTube channel of our label, My Kingdom Music, and its Bandcamp. You can also find our stuff on the major music streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer…

10. Can you describe your band in just three words?

Daevil:

This is easy:

High $tatus Talks of Summer Fest, Music, and More!

Heavy urban enthusiasts HIGH $TATUS have their debut album out, with pure encouragement on them releasing more music, performing live and enjoying doing this as their art. This band talks of the fest they are taking part in and what is ahead for them.

1. So how did you get involved with being a part of the "Bloody News Online Fest: Insane Summer Gathering 2021"?

We heard about Bloody News before, a friend of ours recommended us to the organizer and we thought that it would be awesome to be part of Insane Summer Gathering 2021 lineup.

2. To those who may not be familiar with your band, can you give us a brief summary?

We love metal music. We love hardcore music. We love EDM music. We love hip hop and trap music. We love everything that sounds heavy. That being said, we combined all these genres and made High $tatus.

3. How would you describe your style?

We call it ‘Hardcore Trap’ but that doesn’t mean it’s actually only hardcore and trap. If heavy music and urban music had a baby, that would be High $tatus.

4. What have you release so far and how can someone find your material online?

We released our debut album called “Make Room for the King”. You can blast it on every major streaming platform like Spotify, YouTube, iTunes etc.

5. Why should someone buy your works?

Releasing music and performing live involve costs which are difficult to be supported. Buying an artist’s work means in the first place financial support but also encouragement. If you enjoy our art, buy it.

6. How would you say you differ from other bands and artists on the scene?

Our music reflects our personality. Sometimes we like to write goofy songs and sometimes we like to be serious. We like to `make experiments` and not stick to the same sound.

7. What do you want to achieve as a band?

We want people to lose their minds to our songs. Just like we do.

8. What does this next year have in-store for you guys?

Next year we will release some sweet music. Stay tuned!

9. Where can the fans and new comers find out more about you?

People can follow us on Instagram @highstatusgang and Facebook High $tatus.

10. Can you describe your band in just three words?

The sexiest band in town!

Kiara Talks of Themselves and the Upcoming Summer Fest!

Russian symphonic metal, goth, folk band KIARA have a couple of releases out, with more content coming soon. The band will be taking part in this exclusive summer music fest alongside an array of other bands as well. The band talks of themselves and the fest too of course!

1. So how did you get involved with being a part of the "Bloody News Online Fest: Insane Summer Gathering 2021"?

I’ve known Kostya Aronberg on the internet for a few years, so he asked me if I wanted to perform at the festival with my solo project. I agreed.

2. To those who may not be familiar with your band, can you give us a brief summary?

I have been dreaming about my own band since I was a teenager .I was playing and singing in several bands, and I continue to be a participant of the other bands. But in the bands where I am just a performer I can't express myself completely. KiaRa is my solo project, so I compose all the music the way I feel it, and I express myself there without any restrain.

3. How would you describe your style?

I’m based on symphonic metal mostly, but you can hear gothic and folk elements too.

4. What have you release so far and how can someone find your material online?

The debut album Storyteller was released last August, live album Online Winter Show - in January. You can tap KiaRa - Storyteller on Spotify or iTunes, or even in Google, and you'll find everything. I also have all the links on my website annakiaramus.com.

5. Why should someone buy your works?

Because it's the only way to support musicians during the pandemic. And apart from the pandemic, this is the way to show musicians that you like their music and that they are worth something in musical world. Besides, musical industry takes much money, and if you don't have other jobs, this is the only way to make it.

6. How would you say you differ from other bands and artists on the scene?

Almost everyone can find something that he'll like in my music. Also I am who I am. I don't pretend someone else to reach more success.

7. What do you want to achieve as a band?

As every band, we want to take over the world! Kidding. :) To be honest, I just do what I do and I'm glad that people like it. Of course, we want to perform all over the globe, but next destination is shows in Europe.

8. What does this next year have in-store for you guys?

We're planning to release new album. We're also planning some shows, but it's hard to say if they happen or not because of the world situation.

9. Where can the fans and new comers find out more about you?

In my social medias and website. I can be found as Anna KiaRa everywhere, and the website address is written above.

10. Can you describe your band in just three words?

Passion, diversity, creation.

Pause Discussed Debut Album, New Music, and Getting Back Out There!

Own stylists PAUSE have their debut album out there, with the tracks being alternate in both English and Spanish languages. And all newer music is already in the works and should be out come the fall. This band just wants to get out, share their music, play shows and much more. See what all was discussed from this conversation below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

The band has gone through many stages, at first we did wild hardcore with two more friends, it was quite a game, the concert setlist we wrote on a tissue five minutes before the show hahaha, we had a great time. The band fell apart because two of our friends left town. Some time passed and we got together again Juanjo and Toni, we locked ourselves in a basement and started writing songs and taking the band seriously because we think we have a lot to show you. Many people came through the band until we decided to make a power trio format, and Lee arrived who has been our drummer for a year.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Sometimes when incredible things happen to us, or we live experiences we would like that time to stay frozen, that's where the name of pause comes from, it's like when you can't sleep and you are looking for a feeling that calms you down, those sensations are in our memories they are in pause in our mind.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are from Barcelona, we are Mediterranean people with burning blood (especially in summer), Bcn is a cosmopolitan city, here come influences from all over the world, in recent times there are some styles of music that from our point of view are especially damaging to Live music, many "musicians" go on stage with a computer and a microphone, times changes, soon they will get tired .in our area there are very interesting bands but we are left with three "triángulo de amor bizarro"" "the hinds" and "nudozurdo".

4. How would you describe your style?

We ask ourselves that question many times.... no idea. Most of the labels that they put us are either postpunk or indie rock, maybe we like postpunk more, but we would like to have our own style.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have our first album "we cannot rewind" on all platforms, it is our debut album and we alternate songs in English and Spanish, we wanted to experiment and see where we were going, our music can be defined by its forcefulness and emotionality.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yes, we have a great team behind us and we are going to release new material in October, stay tuned please!

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

With the pandemic, all the concerts were postponed and ended up being canceled, we are hopeful we have only done three shows in a year....it is very little, we need it.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

We must go as far as possible, we believe that rock in a generic way has already rested enough, we have many ideas and desire to do important tours, we have a lot to offer we have worked a lot to be where we are, it is not easy, the world of music. It is moved by many factors that cannot be controlled, people no longer have so much patience or give so many opportunities, but this is a long-distance race, where the most important thing is work and resistance.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can listen to us on all streaming services growing a lot and I hope you will help us by subscribing to our Spotify and YouTube channels, and all the information to buy our merchandising is on Instagram @pausebandrock.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

Very good question, we would love for you to feel alive, get excited and join us on this wonderful trip.

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE RELEASE NEW SINGLE/VIDEO "PARASITE"

Bullet For My Valentine have released "Parasite," the second single from their recently announced self-titled album Bullet For My Valentine.

For 'Parasite,' we just wanted to let the song rip," says director Fiona Garden. "The intensity and fury of the track tears along, pure performance and vitality. Along the way, in a world defined by blinding light and the phenomenal graphic work of artist Carl Addy, we see this new infinite incarnation of the avatar aM cuts being ritualistically infected and drawn further into limitless oblivion. No locusts were harmed in the making of this video."

Paul Bartolome Discusses New Single AND Makes BIG Announcement!

Rock n' roller PAUL BARTOLOME has a lot to discuss as far as new music, most recent working's and a BIG announcement to be said as well! Find out all below!

1. So last time we talked was when you had released your last single "Time Bomb", and have since released another single titled "Medicine", how do these compare, differ, and come into equals to one another?

Yeah that's right, we'd literally just dropped "Time Bomb" with Kellin Quinn from Sleeping With Sirens and had just started to see some chart success at Billboard and on radio, but in my honest opinion I Love Time Bomb, it helped me writing that song and a lot of my fans that's there favorite song I've done! But because of the  nature of the song and the story behind it being so personal as I'd mentioned in our previous interview, I didn't feel comfortable doing a bunch of merch, and fun content around that song. Jumping on a camera an trying to sound super happy an positive an joking around felt off in someway... maybe cos it was so fresh to me at the time..

But yeah I kinda stayed away from all that an just let the song do it's thing. Where as Medicine is the SUPER fun, experimental summer banger! Nothing too deep, the  lyrics of course have a deeper layer but I'll leave that up to interpretation. But it's just a super fun vibe, the summer anthem and full out party song! Sonically they fit really well together even tho they are super different tracks.. but yeah medicine is just a different vibe and super fun and energetic. We have merch out for that one and a bunch of crazy fun stuff content wise coming for it as well!

2. Now tell me all about your "Medicine" single, what is it about, why did you want to write it, what does it mean for you?

So "Medicine" really came about after my song "Devils in the Details" became one of the most popular songs off my last album. I loved the vibe of that track but  always thought... man what if I'd have gone full rock on it... took out the electric drums an replaced with live, cranked the gain on the guitars, took the synth bass and put a driving distorted bass and way more energy and rockiness to the vocals... and then yeah.. "Medicine" was born haha! I loved the guitar style and Latin vibe I had done on "devils" so I wanted to capture that but add the energy, the band and the rocke edge! I call it "Santana meets hard rock". I actually hit up Santana to do a solo on the track! And I can confirm as I'm sure you've seen.. he did not get back. BUT maybe a remix one day if he ever sees this HIT ME UP! The lyrics sort of follow on from the "Devils in the Details" lyrical story. Again nothing crazy deep but definitely still deals with the addiction and the struggles it can cause and the duality you face with the "I really need this... but i know it's so bad for me... but just once it'll feel good.. but I shouldn't" you know that inner battle? that's what this song really capitalizes on. Hence why to some people the lyrics might not make a lot of sense cos it keeps contradicting itself THAT'S THE POINT! (I thought I was being smart when I wrote it).

3. You mentioned in our last talk about bringing back the "Insta Live Gigs", discuss what these are and are they back as of yet?

Unfortunately it's on the list of "things to do" but the list seems to be getting longer, and longer, and longer everyday and yeah I just have NOT had the time yet. BUT we will do one real soon for sure! They were super fun through lockdown connecting with the fans teasing some new songs, having a drink and just jamming it was a great time. So I will definitely be bringing them back ASAP!

4. There was also mention of a HUGE show was this the Ink Fest coming up or another show altogether?

There was indeed and YES it was of course INKcarceration festival. This September in Ohio in America. I am super excited and it's a huge privilege to be asked to  play and open up for the amazing bands playing! - Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Escape The Fate, Ice Nine Kills, New Years Day, badflower, Steel Panther... to name a few.  Not only will this be my FIRST ever show in the states it will also be my first EVER festival I've ever been to.. let alone played! So it is going to be INSANE. We are deep in rehearsals for it currently.. we have a super energetic and fun set that Will have something for everyone so I'm looking forward to getting there and the fact that Live shows are back!

5. How many shows and or a tour does PB have in-store if anything?

We have A LOT in the works right now for next year and end of this year... unfortunately I can't disclose any of this as of yet as much as I'd like to!

6. PB has always been a project as yourself Paul Bartolome, but is there anything more you would like to express about it perhaps evolving into something more than just a solo act?

YES! I'm sure you've noticed I keep saying WE - "WE have a lot in the works" , "WE have a super energetic and fun set" and so on.. SO after doing my first tour with my band across UK and Europe. Something really clicked and I instantly thought damn.. this should be on a record, this energy, this vibe! And literally since that moment we  started the discussions behind the scenes and made it a thing my so called "Tour Band" that everyone is now super familiar with have now become "THE BAND". Paul Bartolome is now a full band.

We are keeping the name for many reasons as main one is... I've worked my ass for years to get to where I am now under my name, to just change it and start from scratch would be kinda silly and also the fact that I still write and produce everything myself. It's still very much my baby of course and my outlet. Only now my Drummer - David Bartolome writes and plays the drums on the album that he will be playing live as well! as well as some production stuff across it as well! My Rhythm guitarist - Ryan Thompson Plays all the rhythm parts he'd play on tour ON the album! And my bass player - Jamie Streater plays all the bass parts he'll play on tour on the album as well! So it's still very much me writing the songs still but it has just created this super cool and unique vibe that I hadn't anticipated!

And the fact they are always in the music videos.. was almost like a HEY guys get to know these boys cos this is IT NOW!  That's why the music video for "Medicine" was shot the way it was.. individually for the first time to give everyone there own time in the spotlight and to really showcase this is a full band officially now! As it has been in the works since March 2020... all the way to now in the background... got a whole documentary about the new album and going away just us as a band and doing it together and the video shoots and all the discussions behind the scenes etc..! So yes we've done the opposite of Panic at the disco... they have a band name yet on the album it's 1 guy then live the band... but with us  we have MY name... but on the album it's a band! haha So I'm super pumped to let everyone hear all the hard work all 4 of us have put into this music and get out on the road!

7. Your two recent single's are just that single's but will they be included in an upcoming EP or LP follow-up to your 2020 release "Screaming Through The Radio"?

I can confirm.. that Album 3 is DONE and in final stages of mixing.... and it is INSANE! Super different vibe to "Screaming through the radio" as I mentioned with the band on it now it created this crazy energy and distinct style and sound that for me "STTR" didn't have... this all sounds like 1 artist, 1 band, 1 consistent style while still experimenting. There's some stuff people will NOT expect from us and I'm looking forward to people hearing that then playing it live.

8. This last time we spoke was during the spring time, so did you have any cool spring time activities back then?

Honestly it was same as now... in the famous and inspiring words of Rhianna -  Work, work, work, Work, Work... but it's all going to pay off and it already is starting to. Super exciting stuff happening behind the scenes and me and the boys are PUMPED!

9. Now that it's the middle of the summer now, any summer plans at hand you have gotten to do or plan to do?

Only thing really is Aug 23rd 2 days after my bday me and the band will be flying out to barbados for 2 weeks for a nice chilled trip, and relax then fly direct into the states from there play the festival in sept then shoot back home! That's really the only plan rest of summer is spent working our asses off to afford it! Haha!

10. What else does good old PB have lined up for the rest of 2021 that you would like to share with everyone and everybody?

There's a lot we are working on. You can DEFINITELY expect another single... an album announcement, new merch, a ton of content, and some announcements SOON!  So stay tuned and thank you for all the support! And thank you for taking the time to talk to me!  - Paul Bartolome -

Deception Chats of New Music and the Plans Ahead!

Modernized by old school death metal band DECEPTION have an album and an EP out, with all new music in the works already! The band goes into chat about their music and the plans up next!

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Well, it’s kinda complicated, haha. As ‘Deception’ we have been active since 2018 with three of the original members from our former band ‘Art of Deception’. We wanted a new start with the same platform so we decided to shorten the name when our previous singer Marius quit the band and Sindre stepped up to do vocals. Marius would later join us again as our bass player during the summer of 2020. Anyway, Sindre and Einar started it up again and hired young hot shot Hans Jakob the same summer Marius quit. From January 2019 to July 2020 we were left without a bass player. Our debut as ‘Deception’ came out during the fall 2019 and it was titled ‘Epidemic’. It was a drastic, but a much needed change to the sound compared to our previous band. It did quite well and we got to do some shows with Blood Red Throne in the UK and around Norway.

Later we would start the recording of our newest album ‘The Mire’. Again, this changed our sound drastically adding symphonic elements to our sound. It is for the better, haha. We released ‘The Mire’ in February 2021 and it has been doing great! We got a lot of cool guests on that album like Teemu from Wintersun, Attila Vörös, Skar from Equilibrium and Bolt from Blood Red Throne. The pandemic put a stopper for our shows, but when it’s over we look forward to touring more.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

We were previously called ‘Art of Deception’ and we chose that because it sounded cool. When our vocalist quit and we decided to start over we just shortened that name, so no deep reasoning behind the name.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are based around Stavanger, Norway, but some of us are relocating to Oslo soon. For local bands I would choose from all over Norway because the scene is good, but it’s pretty spread out. Check out Vorbid, Psykopath, Blood Red Throne, Pyrrhic, Sublime Eyes, Vanvidd, You Suffer, Son of a Shotgun, Agabas. There are so many I could mention here.

4. How would you describe your style?

Our style is a kind of modernized old school death metal with symphonic elements. If you take the groove of Blood Red Throne, infuse is with the darkness of Septicflesh and the epicness of Wintersun, that’s probably where we are at.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have released on album and one EP. Our first EP ‘Epidemic’ is a straight old school death metal album with chainsaw guitars and our latest album ‘The Mire’ is our new kind of modernized osdm.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yes! We currently have about half an album worth of material and are thinking of hitting the studio early next year.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We have some shows in Norway this fall, but a lot is still in the works. We are especially looking for places to tour in Europe. Japan and America as well would be sick.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Write, record, release, tour, repeat I guess haha. We always try to push ourselves in terms of writing new material and to push our live shows to be the absolute best they can be. We are just waiting for the world to open up to fully promote future releases.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can listen to us on all the normal streaming services. If you want to support us financially we have a bandcamp and also a big cartel for merch.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

Prospect Talks of New Music, Gigs, and More!

Rock n' rollers PROSPECT have a debut album out, with a follow-up album out this summer! With that to come soon, the band will also have some time to play with some gigs lined-up for the fall! The band talks of this and more below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

The band was started as a project in a town named Steinkjer in Trøndelag. Kenneth was originally a drummer, but was getting sick and tired of looking for vocalists; so he became one himself. The band went through various phases and genres. Eventually we became an energetic hard rock band, even though every member used to be a metal head (and still is at heart). We had a few changes in the roster, but now we feel like we’re a big family.

Kenneth (The Diva) - Lead Vocals

Odd Peder (The Hulk) - Drums

Eivind (The Moneymaker) - Lead Guitar

Magnus (The New Guy) - Rhythm Guitar

Andreas (The Mom) - Bass

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

In the darkest of dark, where only the dead dwell, it was named. Four tired and sweaty individuals sat down in a Backroom Casting-type of couch to discuss the meaning of life and music. Words were not shared easily that night, for these sayings are not for the faint of heart. Through the mist of moisture and smoke of terrible coffee, the silence was broken: “Prospect”. And so it was named. One band to rule them all. One band to find them. One band to bring them all. And in the darkness bind them. In the land of Verdal, where shadows lie.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We’re based out of Verdal, Norway. About 90 km north of Trondheim. It’s a small town, with lots of culture and historic significance. Though, not the biggest music scene when it comes to our type of music. But if we travel a few more kilometers north to Steinkjer, there’s a busting punk scene. There’s a yearly punk festival, and a lot of local heroes doin’ their thing. Check out “Astmatisk Gapskratt” for some local punk! We’ve also gotten to know the underground metal scene in Trondheim after all our gigs there. There’s this one band that really stands out in my opinion, and that is “Artwork of Hate”, go check them out! I would also like to mention our friends in “The Federation”, from Fosen. We’ve made a playlist on spotify to showcase all the wonderful local bands we have here in our neck of the woods, called “Tøndelag Rock og Metal”.

4. How would you describe your style?

Energetic is often the first word that comes to mind when people describe us, and we agree. We like to combine old school and modern rock ‘n’ roll. We take inspiration from lots of places, but mainly from bands such as AC/DC, Airbourne, Guns n’ Roses, Mötley Crüe, Skid Row, Slash and so on. We like to make music that’s catchy, groovy, makes you want to move and sing along. Basically music that you can feel throughout your whole body, and let’s you break free for a little while.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

In 2019 we self published our first album “Rock ‘n’ Roll Beats & Electric Guitars”, with 8 songs of pure rock ‘n’ roll. As the title suggests, it’s gonna be rockin’ drum beats, and cool guitar riffs. But there’s no shortage of wild guitar solos, or screams reaching high places. The voice of our lead singer is one of the things that stands out and makes Prospect, Prospect. The album landed a spot on Sleaze Roxx’s “Top 10 Albums of 2019”.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Our new album “All Bets Are Off” is set for release on August 13th, published by Rob Mules Records. On June 18th we released the first and only single of the album: Blame it on the Booze. The single was accompanied by a music video, which is available on our Facebook and YouTube-channel. But who’s to say.. Maybe we’re already working on new material.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Well, the whole pandemic situation suddenly put a stop to most of that. But it looks like there’s light at the end of the tunnel, and we have a few gigs planned for the fall. And for the release of our new album, we’re playing on one of the most famous stages in Trondheim: Rockheim.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Our ambition is to reach out to as many places in the world as possible and to leave a hard hitting, mind blowing, ear buzzing and entertaining trail behind as we go.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Our music is available on all the major streaming services, and can be bought digitally wherever music is sold digitally. As for physical copies, just hit us up on Facebook or by email. We have CD’s of our first album, but the new album will be on vinyl and sold through our Record Label.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

That we’re here to rock your socks off, so don’t tie your shoes too tight.

Our Frankenstein Releases New Video for "Persephone"

Our Frankenstein have released a new music video of the track titled "Persephone". Check it HERE.

Die So Fluid Releases New Song and Video for "The Start Or The End"

Well it's been 7 months and 14 days so it must be time for another Die So Fluid single. Having informally abandoned the album format last year the band completes a triptych of epic recordings that all carry the message of unifying love and compassion for what's left of the human race. The Start or the End was completed by our three heroes in their different global lockdown hideouts – Los Angeles, London and Bologna. Ok there's been no official announcement but yeah Justin is the drummer now. I just changed the Wikipedia page so you know it must be true. As well as drumming he also mixed the single. The lush string arrangement was recorded in France by Egyptian violinist Samy Bishai of Natacha Atlas' band.

The video was created by Grog in Los Angeles, her home for over a decade now, and where she has been increasingly moved by the burgeoning homeless crisis and the ever expanding gulf between the have and have nots. Grog filmed at some of the newly sprung up satellites of skid row including the doorstep of Venice Beach. In the description of the video on YouTube will be a link to World Central Kitchen a charity that feeds the hungry and that Grog has supported in the past.

So what I was alluding to at the top of the page is Phil Collins' Another Day in Paradise. Sorry if you were expecting a Can't hurry love or, my favorite, Easy Lover. They done used a helicopter in that one. Check out the video HERE.

Beyond Unbroken Releases New Track "With Or Without Me"

Beyond Unbroken have released a new track titled "With Or Without Me". Check it HERE.

Trickshooter Social Club Discusses New EP, Music and Shows!

Rockers TRICKSHOOTER SOCIAL CLUB have a new EP "Monte Carlo", with new music underway. They plan to also start playing shows real soon as well. The band discusses this and more below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Trickshooter Social Club was formed and forged in Chicago. It began as an idea as much as a band. The concept was a social club – a group of generous, talented, like-minded musicians who want to make music and make the world a little better through music. The concept is to always keep an “open chair” in the social club. While we have a solid core, we always welcome folks to sit in and add to the sound – it is a musical social club more than a traditional band. The two founding members, songwriters, and band leaders are Larry Liss and Steven Simoncic. The goal is to make authentic American music that tells a story and stands the test of time. Our influences come from rock, blues, country, punk and pop – our music is eclectic – we love everything from Kiss to Wilco -- and sound is always changing and evolving and we think that is a good thing.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Social Club because we didn’t want this to be a band. We wanted this to be a community of artists. Trickshooter because in the West at the turn of the century, Trickshooters would ride into town like a carnival, dazzle the locals with a combination of talent and deception, and then head off to then next town. We related to that.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are born and forged in Chicago. The scene here is tricky. Too big to have an awesome indy scene and too small to be NY or London. But there are incredibly talented musicians here and awesome engineers and producers. And the blues still runs like blood in the streets here.

4. How would you describe your style?

Eclectic. American. Unapologetic. A gumbo of rock and blues with a dash of country and punk. We like songs, not soundscapes. We like melody. We grew up on the Beatles and the Stones. We like story. Which means we also listened to Springsteen and Steve Earl. The idiom we operate under was forged by bands like Social Distortion, Tom Petty and Cheap Trick. We believe in telling stories 3 minutes at a time.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

This new EP, Monte Carlo, is our 3rd release. And we are super proud of it. It feels like our song writing has matured and flourished with this work. Our first two albums were Generator and American Experiment. The thread that runs through all our work is that it is real, genuine, American rock-n-roll. We believe in the power of rock to change the work is – mostly because it changed our world.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Always. We are working on a new album to follow up on the Monte Carlo EP. We are always writing. During the pandemic we were able to flex a new muscle by learning how to more properly record on our own. So we’re currently tracking new material.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We plan to start gigging again in the Fall. Chicago as well as some stops in Austin, New York and LA.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

More music. More gigs. Also leaning heavier into video/visual art. The goal is to always evolve. To grow and hone our chops as songwriters. And continue to play with new people who push the sounds to new places.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

All the major online outlets – Amazon, Spotify, Apple, etc.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

That we’re all in this together.

We are based in Western Massachusetts. There are some pretty awesome bands all over Massachusetts! Too many to name!

My new single, "Outta Control", is dropping on 07/09/21! Leo Spauls Say Lots on Newer Music and Playing Live Again Soon!

Rock pop band LEO SPAULS has released a handful of content since their forming not that long ago. New content is also being released with the band hoping to play live real soon. They go on furthermore to say a lot about where to find out more about them and what they have planned up next.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

It's actually three bands, one in Sweden, one in Germany and one in the UK. Since travelling is expensive, I thought it was easier to do it that way. It's also exciting since the musicians have different backgrounds. We try to do the songs differently in each band, giving the musicians the space to create their sound more freely. The UK band is Elina Tikkanen on backing vocals, Andy Basiola on guitar, Paolo Succo on bass, Lewis Moody on keyboards and Dan Breaden on drums. We met in January 2020 in London.

2. What's the origin of the band's name?

We came up with the name Leo Spauls & the Dramas. But we never used it. It might reflect something of my past when I wasn't on medication for mental illness. But when we play live, we usually go on as Leo Spauls with his band.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there?

Are there any local bands you could recommend? The UK band is based in London, and the band members come from Finland, Sweden, Italy and the UK. I originally from Sweden. So it's like a melting pot. There are so many good bands in London. Teleman is a band I've been listening to for quite some time.

4. How would you describe your style?

I am a pianist, so I usually start with the piano. I am trying to find some chords and melodies I like. Then I go to my computer, adding a few loops. We recorded everything with real instruments on the last album, Mike Garson (David Bowie's pianist) sending his piano recordings from LA. This time we are doing a more electronic production. It's pop music, based on synthesizers and piano. When we play live, we go on as a rock-pop band, with drums and guitars.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We released the first album in 2016. It's in Swedish and includes an alternative pride song to Stockholm pride that year, "Allt det som är du". It was a bit successful and fun since it's not the music you usually hear from the gay scene. So when we did that one in London and Berlin, I changed it into English: "Everything You Do". No one had heard it, but the audience appreciated it. The second album, released in 2018, was darker, more melancholic and perhaps more introverted. Or complicated, some might say. However, the three new singles we are releasing this year are easier to listen to. I don't want to use the word better, but from a writing perspective, I think they are.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

The singles we are releasing this year are written during the last year and a half and produced by the Animal Farm label in London.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

When the UK band was formed last year, we did a few rehearsals, had some gigs booked, but then came the pandemic. I've received numerous invitations to go and play in Germany, but due to the situation in the world, we've decided to wait. Also, we are going to focus on the UK market. I am hoping to play live with Mike Garson someday. He made this streaming concert last winter, which was pretty impressive. It had Trent Reznor on it, Yungblud, Adam Lambert, Duran Duran, and many of the Bowie alumni. It appears that everyone he called said yes. I'm also hoping to play with St. Lenox someday, which perhaps is more realistic. I have never met him but listen to his music a lot.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

We are very excited to play live again and planning to do a UK tour within a year or two. Also, I'm writing new music all the time, so I'm looking forward to recording a new album. It would be fun to record something with Mike Garson again, we are in contact quite often, and I'm taking piano lessons for him. We've discussed a new project, and I hope we'll be able to do that soon.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can find our music on all platforms.

Stream at Spotify here: https://open.spotify.com/artist/15Pv5NraiSG667qm10ajvC

Also, you can find a lot of videos and more music on Vimeo and YouTube:

You can also follow us on social media:

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/leospauls/

Twitter: https://twitter.com/LeoSpauls

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/spauls.se

10. What is it you'd like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

The melodies are relatively simple. I want to focus on the lyrics and storytelling. I want to evoke certain feelings and experiences in my life, like going to a gay sauna in Berlin, for example. The idea of gay music is still too limited, I think. We are just ordinary people like everyone else. It's 2021, and being gay is still a problem; in some parts of the world.

Gene Garcia Expresses Discussion of Music, including an All New Album!

Jazzy soul musician GENE GARCIA has released numerous music, including his most recent being an album titled "Genesis". With this release, he plans to promote as much as possible, with playing shows wherever possible as well. See what else Gene himself had to express within the dicussion found below.

1. Please, tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Yes, thanks, the band is the project has my name, and the album Genesis, is a old project rescued from the my trunk after not being able to do so in the last 15 years, and now i could do it. We come from different ways and styles, although not very different. Victor Zamora, pianist of the trio, comes from Cuban jazz, jazz, Afro-Cuban, Mr. Lee double bass comes from jazz, he has a lot of talent and Joel Silva is a big drummer from Lisbon as Mr. Lee. And i comes to blues, jazz, soul. I knew it could be a good trio for my first solo album. They understood perfectly what I wanted to do the album and I think we did a good job. Personally, what I like the most about black music in all its breadth and especially jazz, blues, soul, afro,… is what I like to sing for thirty-five years a go, but I’m a milky man, but i always try to do it with a lot of respect and love in my music. I think we have made an album that will delight listeners lovers of jazz blues soul around the world.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Well, is my artistic name, GENE GARCIA, my real name is Eugene of the Kings García García. That’s the name of the project. And i was play with my name to make the name of album GENESIS.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

I live in the south-west of Spain, on the border with Portugal, all members of my band live in Lisbon, where the jazz music is a part very important in a big city and they have more movement, musicians, bands and followers of  this music. In Lisbon I would recommend several bands that I know, Alma Nuestra, Afro-Cuban jazz, P.L.I.N.T., an excellent new jazz band, also without forget the Sobral brothers, Salvador and Luisa who experiment with jazz among other styles. The scene of jazz blues soul here in Badajoz ( Extremadura-Spain) is a minority and I would recommend to Ivan San Juan Quartet, bebop ,new jazz, etc.. and Pedro Calero Trio, jazz and new jazz and I don't want to forget Mili Vizcaino, a great jazz singer and my partner in a local big band called Iberian Big Band, who has been active for almost five years, but the public in Spanish-speaking countries as mine is not there for a great public, I think my music is intended for English-speaking people. I understand but I want to spread my album in all over the world, outside of my country when there’re few followers for this music.

4. How would you describe your style?

Jazz-soul music, where is everything I learned in 35 years of African music and knowledge and my veneration of the great legends of black music in all its breadth, from Johnny Hartman, Ella, Dinah, Lady Day, Joe Turner, Joe Williams, Leon Thomas,… passing through Son House, Muddy Waters, Rev. Gary Davis, Bukka White, Jimmy Rushing, etc.... all the way to All Green, Aretha, Anne Peebles, Mahalia, Sister Rosetta, James Brown, Simone, Coltraine , Miles, Archie Sheep, Pharoah Sanders, and many others. All in a shaker and there my sound comes out. Also one of my current inspirations is Gregory Porter.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

Genesis is my first solo-album, before I had a blues band call Inlavables with five albums, The Revrendoes, we played blues, soul, gospel, and many bands of covers as Iberian Big Band, The Moochers, the latter dedicated to playing live, clubs, events, parties, festivals, covers of blues jazz soul etc..... and the other question, I  think that people who will listen Genesis enjoy my proposal realizing its high quality, respect and credibility that in others places of the world, that also can open other paths in others places where my music is never heard it. I think it is an excellent album with my own compositions and the other composers than I have worked. In my opinion, it is an album in which I close one path and open another door in my career.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

At the moment I'm spreading this album, promo, radio stations, TV, in Spain and America Latina. New songs are brewing in my head, some that didn't make it into this album. I'm working on making other clips for other songs on the album. But I never stop thinking about music.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Of course, there are four presentations signed in Spain. The situation with the pandemic in Europe and more specifically in Spain and Portugal is difficult to play in clubs, festivals, etc.... everything stopped when the pandemic began, but it seems that it is beginning to normalize. There are concerts in big jazz festivals but for 2022, Lisbon, Madeira, Azores, Madrid, Barcelona, Vitoria, San Sebastian, etc...  I'm in talks with two record companies and also in getting an international manager for we’ll have to enter in USA, UK, and all international market.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

But I see a very interesting future for this formation and especially for Genesis, and surely there will be more jobs with these guys or with others. There is a lot of illusion and desire to work.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

People can listen the music of GENE GARCIA, and Genesis, his last work on Spotify, iTunes, Deezer, and all digital platforms and buy a physical copy on Amazon, FNAC, Jazz Messengers Store.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

I don’t know, “Where the hell did this guy come from?” Hahaha, its a joke, sorry.… always I searched my own way of singing, the way, the style, my voice be different, and above all that you enjoy the sound of the songs. the first thing that comes to mind is SO COOL, I’M GOING TO BUY GENESIS OF GENE GARCIA Thanks.

Coral Palms Talks of More In-Store!

Indie go getters CORAL PALMS have a handful of single's out there, with new ideas and music in the works currently. They want to keep writing more, recording more and even playing gigs once more again soon! The band talks of this if not more.

1. Please tell us about the history of the band and its members.

Will - We met at university, the first band member I met was Callum on Day 1 but then some months later I met Ollie and we formed a very close friendship and musical connection. The band was born when it was time to submit some original music but it snowballed into much more than that once we took the songs to Adriano’s studio. Essentially, we were like pieces of puzzle slowing and perfectly, slotting together at the right moment.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

The beach and sunset element has always been a part of the band's life with the Torquay Bay being a huge part of our identity. The name itself actually originates from a 3 part episode of ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ in which the characters retreat to a resort called ‘The Coral Palms’.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We’re mostly based in the Home Counties, aside from Ollie who’s all the way down in Torquay. The main base of operations is Ads studio in London. Coral Palms has mainly gigged around London and Torquay and we’ve met so many great bands along the way. Gigging in London gives us overwhelming exposure to the scene.

4. How would you describe your style?

Our style is rhythmically driven, stylistically energetic and lyrically emotional.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have released three singles which were the first three songs we finished as a band. Expect more singles, getting to know us more and a development in our sound - In short, expect more indie pop bangers!

6. Do you have any music in the works?

We have tonnes. And we have plans for them. Lots of ideas that stacked up over the lockdowns that need to be heard.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Other than a local show in Torquay at the end of July we’ve not got much going on. We find so much joy from being on stage and want to get some more shows in the books ASAP!

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

To keep writing, recording, gigging our music and getting as many people as possible to go mad to it at festivals.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

We’re on Spotify, Apple Music, all the streaming platforms - also check out our YouTube for some exclusive content, as well as our Tik Tok and Instagram! We’re hoping to start creating some original merch so keep an eye out for that too!

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

Let loose, have fun. Don’t take life too seriously.

Barbarian Prophecies Discusses of Playing Everywhere and New Music!

Extreme metal act BARBARIAN PROPHECIES have been active since 2000! Over that span of time though, they have gone on to release 5 alums, 2 EP's and 2 demo's, with an all new album coming soon. They want to promote said album and just play everywhere they possibly can. With that said, the band discusses all of this and more below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Barbarian Prophecies is an extreme metal band founded in Spain and play in the Underground scene since 2000. Current line up:

Alicia (Vocals & Bass)

Arnt (Guitars & Synths)

Diego (Drums)

Óscar (Guitars & Backing Vocals)

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

The name of the band comes from the fusion of two local bands one called Barbarianth and the other Venomous Prophecies.  Else decided to unite the two names so as not to lose the identity of the bands involved and because at that time there was no other band with the same name, and we believe that none with the same name still exists.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Barbarian Prophecies is a Spanish band, specifically from the city of Lugo (Galicia).  In Spain there is a great Underground scene, but there are hardly any bands that have relevance because from the administration at the political level there is no real support for this type of musical genre.  That is why there are no Spanish bands with international relevance in metal or rock at the level of other countries.  We know of many great bands such as Perpetual, Bloodhunter, Hiranya, Irredemption, Myxomatosis, Untides, Elefantes Mutilados, Pneura, Xerion, Mano de Piedra , Amenaza de Muerte, Khmer, Materia Muerta, Ruthless, Numen, Nakkiga, Death Bringer, Dioivo, Opposer, Schwarzenegger, Vepkóc, Lapsus Mentis, As Life Burns, etc...

4. How would you describe your style?

Death metal with many different influences (Melodeath, Thrash Metal, Black Metal, Prog-Death, Progressive) and other styles out of metal music.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

So far the band has released 5 full albums, 2 Eps and 2 Demos.  Our music is a mix of many styles but with a base of classic Scandinavian type Death Metal.  People who like bands that have their own sound and open to all kinds of influences will like our work.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

This year we have recorded our latest album titled Horizon at Kollapse Studio with Iván Ferro.  The album will be released in physical format in Autumn but this August it will be on all digital platforms.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We plan to do a good presentation of the new album and play everywhere we can.  We plan to visit other countries such as Germany, Hungary, Portugal or France.  All this will depend on the progress of the pandemic and the return of the normal situation, equal to or similar to before this great problem generated by Covid19.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Continue in the same dynamic as always, play live and travel presenting our music in all the places where we can.  On the other hand, we are working on new audiovisual material for the band to promote the new album.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can find our music on any digital platform or you can order our music by writing to us on our social networks, as well as requesting the material from the labels that collaborate with us. (Base Record Production, hecatombe records, Violence In the Veins and Iron Matron Records)

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

Without a doubt, our greatest wish is that the person who discovers our music thinks that Barbarian Prophecies is a band with its own personality and that it has its own sound and identity.
