Indie punk rockers TROPHY JUMP have been around for a while now, releasing a few EP's, with their debut album expected real soon! The band chats of their content and whats up next for them too.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Trophy Jump started as an idea for a satirical pop-punk side-project on a b-day party some years ago.
Three of us actually met up a few days later and started writing some songs for which we thought were funny.
Plenty of rehearsals, songs and gigs later we finally settled on a band lineup and stopped fooling around with cringe jokes. We wrote songs from the heart and started touring as much as we could.
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
High kids gibberish.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
The band is based in Zagreb, Croatia. The music scene is pretty diverse and you can definitely meet great musicians and artists here. Unfortunately, not a lot of bands would group into our niche, but some still exist. I'd suggest you to check out Home Conflict and ESC Life.
4. How would you describe your style?
Indie punk rock with a bit of emo and pop twists. Has some Beatles elements too.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
We released a few EP's, a split EP with our Hungarian friends afewyearslater and two singles with which we're announcing our first full length.
When you check out our stuff I guess you can expect a mix of 90's punk rock blended with a bunch of influences from all around, mainly the newer indie punk groups like Jeff Rosenstock, PUP, Graduating Life etc.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
Our album "feels" will drop on 22.02.2022.
After that we'll take a small break from recording and tour a bit.
The sophomore album is actually almost ready for recording so it won't be long till we get some new stuff going.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
Yeah, we'll be playing our first Copenhagen show beginning of April along with some other EU dates and a local album promo gig in the same month.
In June we're playing Bristol Booze Cruise along with a few other UK dates.
And in October it's finally time to go on a US tour.
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
Tour a lot.
Find a balance between playing hard and chilling.
9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
On the internets.
Stream us on all platforms and/or buy stuff on bandcamp!

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?
I remember once some guy wrote a review saying something like "These songs make me nostalgic about things I've never even lived through.".
I guess something like that would be nice.
