DAVEY SUICIDE Releases New Single, "Caught in the Fire"!

Hollywood based, heavy rock outfit, DAVEY SUICIDE has unveiled their newest single, "Caught in the Fire." The active rock anthem co-written by SUICIDE and ERIK RON (Godsmack, Panic At the Disco, Motionless in White, Black Veil Brides), pulls you in and takes you on an emotional ride full of guts, conviction, and a monster hook that cements itself into your brain! "Caught in the Fire" was mixed and mastered by ERIK RON and ANTHONY REEDER.

Suicide exclaims, "this was the first time in 11 years that I've tracked vocals with a producer in their studio. All of our previous efforts, were recorded DIY style at my house and our producer would get the recorded tracks and edit them in post. This experience pushed me to a new level vocally and I got to lose myself in the performance. I lived through every lyric and Erik was fantastic at capturing the character in crucial moments. Writing with him was a moving experience and I can see 'Caught in the Fire' becoming our most popular song to date!"

Violent New Breed Releases New Song "Sanctuary"

Las Vegas band Violent New Breed brings us a fresh new take on the metal genre. Their relentless dedication coupled with just refusing to give up, is what fuels VNB to leave their mark. In 2019 Violent New Breed was formed by Max Green (best known as the co-founder/bassist of Escape the Fate). Following the release of the bands aptly titled debut album, Bad Reputation (SBG Records) VNB was set to tour - then, the pandemic struck putting an end to those tour plans and ultimately the old line-up.

During the process, Green recruited Garrett Lowery (Lead Guitar) and Nicholas Ray (Drums) and got to writing new music. The trio quickly caught the eyes and ears of Bobby Schubenski (Owner of Blackcraft Cult Clothing) and Danny Wimmer (Danny Wimmer Presents). This immediately led them to be guests on the highly successful “That Space Zebra Show” hosted by Bobby Schubenski on Twitch, as well as their own mini series called “The Vocalist” where open auditions were held to find the band a new singer. After a grueling competition, tons of submissions, and the help of an all too impressive audience of over 100k+ viewers, the band finally found their singer, Albert Schweizer.

Max Green explains, "'Sanctuary' is the song that defines the true birth of Violent New Breed. Up until now we felt like we were writing demos without a true identity. 'Sanctuary' is a defining moment for the future of VNB.

Sick Talk Chats of New Music and Show Playing!

Punk rockers SICK TALK have an EP out and single, with newer stuff coming soon! Some shows are also in the works, local and out of town one's as well. The band goes into chatter about it all below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

You ever seen that movie Stripes starring Bill Murray? It was pretty much nothing like that.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

We will always do sick shit no matter what. Feel free to talk about it as you please.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We’re based out of St Pete, Florida! The music scene here is very deeply rooted in the art district, and often is extremely DIY and community led. House shows are where it’s at down here, and shows are always popping up at the VFW halls and dive bars around town. There’s even bands playing in arcades and record stores, too! We’re friends with a lot of cool bands in the scene, so it’s hard to name them all. But, a few that come to the front of the mind would be psych rock kings, Liquid Pennies. The best Garage Rock band around here would have to be, hands down, The Drain Outs. As far as straight punk goes, Lot Lizards, The Horribles, and Arcane Arcade are also well worth mentioning!

4. How would you describe your style?

Our style is mainly rooted in punk rock. However, we wanted to put a more modern twist on our sound, taking certain ideals from bands like PUP and Joyce Manor. We’ve been described as “Garage Punk” before, which feels like the most fitting title for the sound we’re trying to achieve. It’s loud, aggressive, but still catchy and easy to sing along to. Songs that will punch you in the face, but will still have you humming them to yourself as you’re getting up off the floor!

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

So far, we have one EP out called “Grab It and Go” and our newest single, “Spillway.” GI&G came out when Alex (vox/guitar) started the band under a different name. At the time, he was going for more of a Hives/Kinks kind of sound. While we’re still proud of some of the tracks on it, it is no longer a good representation of our band. “Spillway” however, was the perfect bridge between the old sound and the new sound we’re looking to achieve.

Someone listening to our band can expect driving guitars, melodic bass lines, and catchy hooks that will more than likely get stuck in your head, at least a few times.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yes! We have a lot of new stuff coming! We have another single we’re gonna leak out soon, a remastered version of our first record “Grab It and Go” (which will feature our new track “Spillway” on it!) as well as an entire EP of new songs following after!

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We have plenty of shows booked throughout the summer! Mostly around the Central Florida area, but we will be shooting up to Cleveland to do a one-off show with some of our friends up there at the end of May!

We’re hoping to do some touring soon, but we want to get a little more music out into the world first. So, stay tuned!

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Well, like I said earlier, we have some new music in the works. We’re gonna be funneling stuff out over the summer and throughout the year. We’ve got some really cool shows this summer, including a show in Cleveland at the end of may! We’re hoping to roll out a new EP after that, and then maybe hit the road and play some out of town shows.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

For starters, we have our catalog out on all the regular streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, etc). Our bandcamp also has some cuts that you can’t find anywhere else that are pretty cool too.

We have a rad little run of merch out right now that you can only buy at one of the shows. However, we’ve got a webstore on our bandcamp coming soon!

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

We’re just trying to make music that makes you feel something. We try to make our songs as honest and relatable as possible. Whether you resonate with a chord, or relate to a line in the song, either way we try to deliver a sound everyone can relate to in some way.

Eazi Beatz Talks of Music, Shows and Lots More!

Up and coming rap and Afrobeats artist EAZI BEATS has always been surrounded by music, art, and culture, which has massively influenced his taste and interests within music. Over time, he has released tracks, and even has some new tracks set in stone and expected out and about soon enough! Some shows are also in the works too, with some other plans being arranged with much else in-store too! The artist himself talks of all of everything said below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

My name is Eazi Beatz and I'm a Rap and Afrobeats Artist and Producer. I was born in Lagos, Nigeria and growing up, I was surrounded by music, art and culture which massively influenced my taste and interests in music. Some of my fondest memories as a child was helping my dad wash his car on Sunday mornings while listening to Fela or rap music. Music played a very big part in my upbringing: my father was always listening to music and he was quite close to a lot of artists in Nigeria, they trusted his input and feedback regarding their music and I remember one time, my dad playing an unreleased album of one of my favorite bands which wasn’t dropping for another month!

My journey into creating music first started with producing remakes of popular instrumentals, and after a lot of practice and learning, I started producing my own instrumentals and eventually led to me writing my own songs.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

In College we had a freestyle competition and after my set, a friend in the audience compared me to Fat Joe and the name Joe Eazi kinda stuck from there. I then rebranded to Eazi Beatz as I wanted my moniker to reflect me as an Artist, and as a producer.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

I am based in Plymouth, Southwest of England and the music scene here is growing, especially in the last few years. I remember when I first moved here 9 years ago and how different it was to London, but the last few years has seen an increase of Interest in urban music, with venues now catering to specifically to these genre of music. An artist I would recommend is KRU, he has an amazing voice and is very versatile when it comes to his delivery on a track.

4. How would you describe your style?

As someone with my upbringing and exposure to different sounds and genre over the years, I think I would describe my style as a unique blend of Trap, Rap and Afrobeats elements. My music reflects my experience and mood: whether I’m vibing and in a good mood or something is on my mind and I'm feeling some type of way, I want my music to convey that exact feeling so hopefully my listeners can understand, relate to, and feel some of that when they listen to my music.

When writing a track, the one goal I have is to create something expressive and enticing to the listener. I want whoever listening to feel the music and feel part of the storytelling.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

I have released a few Rap and Afrobeats tracks over the past couple of years but some of my personal favorite's are

1. Black Magic: a 2 minute, non stop epic use of vocals and string instruments to depict my art and how I see myself.

 2. Low Key: an Afrobeats track that narrates a dynamic perspective to the chase, and how it affects both parties.

When it comes to my music, expect the unexpected as I aim to challenge the status quo when producing and recording music.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

As a matter of fact I do, I currently have a few songs in the pipeline with plans of dropping another one in the next couple of months. I took some time off music last year as I became a new dad and I wanted to focus all my energy on enjoying that experience, and I know that this new found perspective will influence my future releases.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

There is a show in Bristol that we are just waiting on confirmation for this summer. There’s also a festival in the works in Plymouth later this year that should be a part off, just waiting on confirmation. Covid affected a lot of my live plans the last two years but we are getting back on track this year.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Consistency. I have a lot of unreleased material, this year I want to focus on my consistency and drop new songs regularly.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can listen to my music on all major streaming platform, also follow my socials (Instagram, Twitter, TikTok - @EaziBeatz ) to get up to date info, behind the scene content and first look on what’s coming. I am also releasing some merch on my website very soon so check out https://www.eazibeatz.com for more info.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

I want my music to convey my exact feelings when recording and I hope my listeners can understand, relate, and feel some of it when they listen to my music.

Black It Out Discusses New Music, Re-releases and More!

Mixer-uppers called BLACK IT OUT have been around for a long time, releasing numerous content over that time. As of currently, they have reissued their "Reflections" works, with friends in Promise Game. Along with them set to release "Live, Laugh, Love" with their other friend Andy Negative this early summer time. But that is not all, because they are also working upon all new music, with much else also in the works as well! Find out what the band discusses of it all below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

We have a long history dating back to 2005 when we were called Scarlet’s Sonata. We started as a hardcore band in the Sacramento, California scene, and we recorded the I’ll Bring the Gun, You Bring the Bullet EP at Pus Cavern in Sacramento. We even opened for some big acts like Mozart Season and Heartshed. We had some line-up changes during all that, and then Shaun went to college. Even though Shaun was in college, we still managed to write and record Trapped in a Sea of Emotion. When we released Trapped in a Sea of Emotion, we changed our name to Black It Out. After that, we went on an eight-year hiatus and played in other bands. Finally, Shaun convinced Bryan to start the band up again, and the song he did that with was “Reflections.” We recently rereleased “Reflections” with our friends from Promise Game. We set to work on Resurgence and released that in 2019. We’ve released several singles since then, and our If Looks Could Kill EP. Many of our singles are Christmas singles. Bryan likes Christmas songs, but we’ve managed to make them sound like Christmas, but you could play them any time of the year. Check out Merry Christmas, Don’t Get Me Anything, and The War on Christmas. We’re working on promoting our latest release, which is “Live, Laugh, Love,” featuring our friend Anndy Negative. That song is about Karens. Yes, those Karens you can watch compilations of them losing their minds in public on YouTube. “Live, Laugh, Love” should be on all platforms on May 2nd, 2022.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Our band name came from people pretending something never happened, or someone never entered their life. More like how when reports are requested using the freedom of information act in the United States, the reports on UFOs and UAPs are all blacked out.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there?

We claim Sacramento because that’s where we started. However, we’re more of an internet band. Bryan and I send stems to each other, and we record our parts on our own, and then we put them together. So, we’ll say we’re an E-band. The Internet scene is phenomenal. You could hear anything you want and even talk to any band on social media platforms like Instagram. We have the best scene!

3. Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Too many to mention since we are an Internet band. We have to recommend: Anndy Negative, Promise Game, All Systems Go, Coe Hill, Rad Stacey, Protect Your Heart, Always Grounded, Darro, Sterling, and Hey Slugger.

4. How would you describe your style?

We’re a blend of Pop-Punk, Emo, Easycore, and Post-Hardcore. It sounds weird, but we like to mix up our sound, but it all sounds like it would be on the Warped Tour stage. RIP Warped Tour.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We’re released a whole bunch of music. We released I Bring the Gun, You Bring the Bullet in 2006, and Trapped in a Sea of Emotion in 2009. Then we put out Resurgence in 2019. After that, we covered The Misfit’s “Halloween” and released our first Christmas song called “Merry Christmas, Don’t Get Me Anything.” In 2021, we came out with If Looks Could Kill EP and “The War on Christmas.” This year, 2022, we reissued “Reflections” with our friends Promise game. We’re set to release “Live, Laugh, Love” with our buddy Anndy Negative come May 2nd, 2022.

We are proud of our holiday music, and our If Looks Could Kill EP. Everything after that has been coming together and is sounding like how Black It Out means to sound.

You could expect Pop-Punk guitars with breakdowns, culturally relevant lyrics, and sometimes with a bit of humor. Our choruses have been hitting that sing-along factor lately. We also have been inviting friends we made on Instagram to be featured on our tracks. So, expect that!

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yeah! We do! We have “Live, Laugh, Love” with Anndy Negative coming May 2nd, 2022. We’re also reworking two of our tracks that were on Resurgence. We’re updating our sound because I (Shaun) took voice lessons, and we sound better than ever. In these two tracks from Resurgence, Bryan sings the verses on them! That’s how it was back in the Scarlet’s Sonata days. But we have one previously unreleased track we’re working on that should be more on the Emo/Pop-Punk side. We totally have plans for more tracks in the future too. Maybe even another Christmas tune! So, be sure to follow us on Spotify and Instagram!

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Well, Bryan and I live several hours from each other now, and we don’t have a permanent drummer at this time, so we can’t really tour. Since we’re an E-band, we’re always looking to write, record, and promote.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

We plan to write new music, record new music, and share new music with cool people like you. We plan to make friends with more internet bands and to enjoy their music too. We like having the friends we make on the internet on our music.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

All over! We promote Spotify because that’s the most popular platform in the US. You could hear us everywhere. You could listen to and buy our music on Bandcamp, Apple Music, Google Music, Deezer, YouTube; you name it, we’re probably on there. Be sure to follow us on Spotify here:

https://open.spotify.com/artist/0kR1sQwrJeIXBmAPrIAeLD?si=GP5nzcMWSH2xUo7XRENABA

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

We’ve evolved quite a bit both artistically and musically; we’ve grown into a more Pop-Punk/Easycore band with Post-Hardcore and Emo elements instead of being a Hardcore band like we started. We’ve come a long way from when we started. We’ve become much better musicians, songwriters, and sound engineers. We’ve even gotten better at making friends. So, feel free to follow us on Instagram or whatever you feel like following us on. We are on Instagram the most, though.

Phrenetix Talks of Current Release and Wanting to Play, Play, Play!

Elemental metal go getters PHRENETIX have been active for a while now, releasing their debut album way back in 2015. Then their sophomore album followed years later just last year in 2021! For now though they are just chilling since this last album's release, hoping to hit the road and play as many shows as possible as soon as possible! The band talks of these plans and more all below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

There was a thrash metal band from Vilnius called State of Ruin, and in the summer of 2011 two members died in a tragic car accident. After a period of doubt and depression, me (Lina) and the drummer Jonas made the decision to keep going. In 2012, bassist Daumantas and guitarist Tomas joined, and that’s how Phrenetix started. During later years, there were a couple of line up changes, but in the present moment Phrenetix are:

Lina – vocals/ guitar

Paulius – guitar

Daumantas – bass guitar

Martynas - drums

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

We were quite 'messed up' at that time, so we tried to mirror that in our name. Frantic was s good word that suited us, but unfortunately - very popular. So we added a couple of letters and tadam - Phrenetix is born!

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are based in Vilnius, capital city of Lithuania. Atmospheric music dominates the scene. Post black, post rock, avant-garde black and etc. Also, we have strong traditions in folk music, so pagan metal also has a big following.

From faster genres in Lithuania, I would love to mention our pals Tručas (thrash metal) and Pekla (speed metal). There is a great progressive pagan metal band Juodvarnis. Also, we love a couple of stoner metal bands with catchy melodies called Black Citrus and Orb.

4. How would you describe your style?

I guess that’s one of the hardest questions for us lately. Honestly, I don’t know. Easy answer would be thrash metal, but we’ve added a lot of elements from other genres, like pop/disco, classical music, alternative metal and eventually it got messed up…Yeah, so let’s call it Messed Up Thrash Metal. It has the energy and the drama of traditional thrash, but with a little more of a melodic spice.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We’ve released our first album “Fear” in 2015, and our second one “Exuviae” in 2021. Honestly, even we don’t know what to expect from us (haha). It could be anything really, that's the exciting part of the band. All I can say is that we love riffs, melodies and experimenting - we’ll see how it turns out in the third album.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

It was a very difficult, long and jarring experience of recording our latest album Exuviae, so now we are letting ourselves get some fresh air by playing covers and just chilling. Ideas are being put together slowly, but it'll take some time. Listen to Exuviae until then! Even if it's not your cup of tea – it'll be an interesting listen, for sure.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We have local  gigs and festivals in Lithuania this Summer, but we will getting our asses abroad soon. Though, if you know someone who wants to get us to their city – let us know!

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Well, our main goal is to hit the road and play as many gigs as possible. That’s our dream, that’s our passion and we see a future there.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can listen to Phrenetix:

https://open.spotify.com/artist/6yfEWNFSPdzQyRBmoGbaJc.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVI-fnD8jTY&t=66s.

Our music and merch to buy:

https://phrenetix.bigcartel.com.

https://phrenetix.bandcamp.com/album/exuviae.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

The feelings that you had when listening and the guitar melodies.

DAME TU ALMA Expresses Themselves with Chatter on Music and Touring Plans!

Dark cinematic metalhead's DAME TU ALMA have had 3 single's released, some video's along with their debut album expected late this spring! They are also already hard at work upon the follow-up album, with an entire tour planned out as well. See what else the band had to express about themselves below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

We like to think of ourselves as shadows that decided to come together to cause the world nightmares. Sypher our drummer has a fetish for serial killers and chocolate chips cookies; Vidame our guitar player used to do the church’s dirty laundry and seduce corrupted nuns and finally Vulture our singer is a carcass eater, he doesn’t eat anything that hasn’t expired yet, so he is also very cheap and low maintenance to take on tour

 2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Dame Tu Alma literally means give me your soul in Spanish

 3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We hail from Bern the so-called ‘’capital of Switzerland’’ . The music scene may look pretty quiet here but there is a lot going on underneath the surface. Some local bands we can definitely recommend are: Zeal & Ardor and Schammasch.

4. How would you describe your style?

Dark Cinematic Metal.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We’ve released 3 singles; 3 videos and we’ll be releasing on April 26th our full-length album called Lead. Darkness is to be expected in all of our work. We thrive from it! For we know that it is a mental empty canvas to be painted by all your fears. Our music is only the mere vehicle for it

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We have been working on our follow up album, which is expected to go even deeper down the same path we started to carve with Lead and experiment further into horror and lust.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We have an entire tour planned out joining the band Stahlmann as we take on Germany starting this summer. The tour dates are displayed all throughout our social media

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

The plans for the band are not to be openly discussed in public but as much as I can tell you is that it’s going to be an explosion of art in every way, shape and form

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

All of our music is found in all the main streaming services that we all know; our videos can be found on our YouTube channel and as far as merchandise and horror souvenirs, they can be purchased through our webpage:

www.dametualma.com.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

We would like to leave with their souls to be quite franc and make them part of our art, for this is all already made from our souls, blood, sweat and tears.

DESTRUCTION Reveal Raging New Single “Repent Your Sins”

Destruction have released a new single with video called "Repent Your Sins". Check it HERE.

Ville Valo to Release New Single "Loveletting" And Announces Debut Solo Album "Neon Noir" + 2023 Tour Plans

Finnish Love Metal pioneer, Ville Valo, will release a new single, "Loveletting," on April 8 under the VV banner. "Loveletting" is taken from VV's forthcoming debut album Neon Noir.

He explains, "As fun as the funeral rites for HIM were, it took me more than a few moons to lick my wounds in the shadow of the Heartagram and come up with an excuse to strum and hum again. Eventually, I decided to put a leash on my beloved black dog and we started howling together instead of barking at each other. That's how 'Loveletting' was born."

"Loveletting" will be made available across all digital platforms right now over HERE.

VV's debut album Neon Noir is scheduled for release in early 2023; belonging to the same forlorn world of woe and whimsy once conceived and governed by Valo in HIM, VV arrives with additional nuanced notes of a fine aged Cabernet.

Valo adds, "Artistically speaking, the main difference between HIM and VV is the extra line in the Heartagram, but what an exquisite line it is! It's the Mamas and the Papas dressed up as Metallica on their way to a Halloween bash at the Studio 54, and now who wouldn't want to witness that?"

Further details around Neon Noir will be released in due course. In the meantime, fans are invited to any number of VV's headline tour dates taking place next year across Europe, the UK, and North America. Naturally starting in Helsinki, Finland, the 2023 extensive run reaches the UK in March, before heading to America come April.

RIVALS EMBRACE INDEPENDENCE IN SULTRY NEW TRACK, “DARK MATTER”

As they embark on a national headlining tour, pop/rock outfit RIVALS releases their newest track, “Dark Matter,” with a sultry and powerful music video directed by Christian Lawrence, which can be viewed here. Produced by John Espy (The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus) and mixed/mastered by Cody Stewart (The Browning, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus), the track signifies a new chapter for RIVALS, scaling down on electronic elements and presenting raw instrumentation and vocals. The track was inspired by vocalist Kalie Wolfe’s perseverance as an independent, female artist, embracing her powerful femme energy every time she falls, to only get back up stronger. Wolfe elaborates:

“Were independent now, no label, no backing, just us and some bitchen ladies to push us through (our booking agent Ashely Ventura and our PR rep Steph Maksimow). ‘Dark Matter’ is our restart, our refresh of us and who we are…it’s a song I wrote about just being a complete badass against all odds, a song about slipping but recovering. Also, a little nod at our bae Ariana Grande, if god is a woman, well then so is the devil <3.” - Kalie Wolfe, RIVALS

The Dark Matter Tour will be supported by Ashland (Rise Records), Josh Lambert, and the star of SHOWTIME Network’s Shameless, Ethan Cutkosky, who will be appearing on select dates of the tour. Check out tour dates below and that new track HERE.

Cadaveria Gets Signed and Announces New Album!

Time To Kill Records officially welcomes Italy’s CADAVERIA to the label’s roster, announcing their highly anticipated sixth album, “Emptiness”, for May release.

Whether you call them horror, gothic or dark metal, one thing is certain: in their 20+ years career CADAVERIA have become one of the most iconic bands of the Italian metal scene.

The “Emptiness” cover art, created by Roberto Toderico, has been revealed. Time To Kill Records will release the album on double LP, CD, cassette and digital formats on May 27th 2022. Watch for more album details, singles, preorders, and more to post in the weeks ahead.

CADAVERIA is the creative alter-ego of Italian-based metal singer Raffaella Rivarolo, better known by her stage name Cadaveria, one of the first women to hit the extreme metal scene in the early Nineties.

CADAVERIA band was founded in 2001 by Cadaveria herself and drummer Marçelo Santos, to freely express themselves as musicians and extreme artists.

Since CADAVERIA’s debut album The Shadows' Madame (2002) the band’s style is labeled Horror Metal. Their personal sound is imbued with gloomy and sinister atmospheres and it mixes Black Metal with classical Heavy Metal, Death Metal and Gothic influences. The lyrics, scheming, hermetic and introspective, mirror the dark soul and the vexed personality of the singer Cadaveria.

2021 is a meaningful one for CADAVERIA band, as the band celebrate its 20 years of activity. A career that boasts five full length albums, some reissues, an EP (with Necrodeath), a retrospective double DVD and a huge support from fans of Central America, where CADAVERIA have made a series of headlining tours, between 2007 and 2015.

From 2012 on, with the release of the most recent albums Horror Metal and Silence, CADAVERIA have been engaged in many live dates that have seen them protagonists of different stages in Russia, Germany, France, Belgium, Romania, as well as numerous Italian shows as headliner and in support of Cradle of Filth, Arch Enemy and many more.

CADAVERIA have recently released a series of new singles, that mark the band's return to the scene after a long pause, during which the singer had to be treated for cancer.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Paul: The band started out as my solo project and after releasing a single, I realized I couldn’t do it alone anymore and I found Calvin, who absolutely killed it that first day in the studio.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

I’m a fan of alliteration. It’s fun to say and I think it sums up who we are as a group.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We’re based out of North Houston, and there’s a ton of older bar bands in our area, but there’s definitely some amazing solo acts like Endgazer out here too

4. How would you describe your style?

Grunge with a bit of punk and thrash and indie. Its a totally different vibe than anything else out there. We make music we want to listen to.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We’ve released three singles, and one EP where, and we’re always writing new material and we plan on letting everyone know what we got in the pipeline real soon!

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

ALWAYS!

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Yes and no. I’m not at liberty to say anything at the moment.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

We plan on releasing more music throughout the year, maybe another album next year, definitely more shows, pop up events, all sorts of awesome stuff.

Picnic Lightning Discloses Details on New Single and Music!

Punks PICNIC LIGHTNING have an EP out there along with a self-titled album. They even have quite a bit of new music coming soon, including an upcoming single out this early summer time! Tha band discloses all of these matters below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Picnic Lightning formed in 2013 with Thomas Edmond Ketchersid on vocals, guitar, Cole Alvin Watkins on lead vocals and guitar, John Lenox Cope on bass and vocals and Cameron Joseph Navarro on drums and vocals. Thomas, Cole, & John had played music together since high school and Cameron joined them after hitting it off at a local Oktoberfest party. Their Gilded Youth EP (2014) and eponymous debut album (2016) were enthusiastically received by local press and blogs, earning them nominations for Best Rock Band, Best Rock EP, Best Rock Album in the Fort Worth Weekly Music Awards.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

The name, Picnic Lightning, comes from a brief moment towards the beginning of the novel, Lolita; a simple description of the death of the main character’s mother. Thomas is an avid reader and accomplished poet, and suggested this to the group as an effective phrase to capture an intense, immediate event forcing its way into the audience’s attention, and we felt this captured the tone of our music.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Picnic Lightning is from Fort Worth, Texas. Tourism would have you think it’s all honky tonk and country, and as active as Billy Bob’s concert hall is, the music scene is a supportive place home to a variety of styles from Leon Bridges to Vincent Neil Emerson to the Van Cliburn Competition. There’s so many great local bands - our practice-space-mates, Mean Motor Scooter, singer-songwriter Gollay, hip-hop artist Lou Charle$, and pop ensemble Starfruit just to name a few. Check out Ampliry817.org for a great collection of local musicians.

4. How would you describe your style?

Raw and brooding desert punk, the sound of summer heat and dimly lit clubs. Dark, post-everything wall of sound howls like a dust storm, delivering a spiritual stomp that dwells in the shadowland of trenchant questions and orphic revelations. You can also find recent photos of our visual style on our Instagram @picniclghtnng.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We’ve released the Gilded Youth EP (2014) and followed up with our self-titled album in 2016. Our songs deftly touch the inexhaustible complexities of life and do so with sonics as singular as the individual human experience. They croon and holler, stomp and skip, wax thoughtful where vengeance belongs; and vice-versa. It’s the fuel that sets your car aflame or gets you home; the drug that puts you down or brings out the beast. The band’s mantra from day one has been: let no one suffer.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We’ve got quite a bit of new music coming soon, with our single “Over My Head” being released on all platforms on May 6th. You can follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Spotify, and our website to stay up to date on all the new releases over the next few months. This song, along with the others, were recorded pre-pandemic with Taylor Tatsch at his Audiostyles studio in the Texas Hill Country.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Our next show is the Psychedelic Panther fest in Fort Worth from April 15-17th featuring 3 days of psych bands, food & drink, and local artists. We are on the outside stage on Saturday and have a few other shows coming up in the spring and summer - you can find them on our website and Facebook

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Our plans are to continue making music and playing shows for as long as possible. More immediately, we’re writing new songs and are working on touring possibilities as COVID allows.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can listen to us on all platforms:

Spotify

Bandcamp

Apple Music

YouTube

Tidal

Merch will be available on our website & socials in the next few weeks:

Obselite Chats of Most Recent Debut and More Ahead!

Combination metalhead's OBSELITE have an EP out and about, as well as a recent debut full-length album that was just released! The band chats of their most recent work's, releasing even more music, music videos, touring and much else to follow through soon!

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

ObsElite started as a project in 2019 between Justin Kelter, Ryan Fairbrother, and Kiel Fauxton.  The 3 of us have been in a bunch of different bands/projects over the years and we thought it was time to utilize our individual talents towards an industrial  style metal band.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

We were running through a bunch of ideas of names that were sci fi or cyberpunk related. One day we were talking about Fear Factory's album Obsolete, and Kiel was like "how about ObsELITE? and we all looked at each other and were like "yeah that's the one"

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are from Detroit, Michigan, USA. Theres alot of great artists in the scene of all different genres. Bands like Manic outburst, perversion, SNAFU, Nethergate, Carnis immortalis, Battlecross, and The black dahlia murder.

4. How would you describe your style?

Mid 90's industrial with late 90's nu metal/groove and hints of Death and thrash metal. We like to call our style cyberpunk industrial metal basically.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We released an EP called icon of sin in 2020 as a test run. we were still going through a learning process of blending electronics and metal together and people really enjoyed it so we worked really hard on our Debut full length album GHOST//HACK which was released 2.22.2022. and our album has been really well received all over the world so far. its been great.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We are working on a few covers right now and we have some ideas for new songs that we just might release as singles. right now we are mostly focused on promotion and putting out more music videos.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We are planning our debut show for later this summer. we are making a big cyberpunk themed event out of it at a goth club in Detroit known as city club. we have plans for a Midwest American tour that is still TBA as well as a festival.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

More music, music videos, touring, hopefully land a good record deal, and gain enough traction that can turn ObsElite into a powerhouse.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

We are on all streaming services and as well as bandcamp, you can also find us on Facebook and Instagram!

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

To appreciate the overall atmosphere combined with the heaviness of the music that paints a mental image of a dystopian future.

Kollaps Talks of New Upcoming Album, Videos, and More!

Industrial band KOLLAPS have been round for a while, releasing two album's with an upcoming third release "Until The Day I Die" out this summer! The band talks of releasing that new album, music videos, and much more.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Kollaps began in Melbourne and toured extensively in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Over the last few years the band has changed membership for various reasons. The band consists of myself as a principle songwriter and Andrea Collaro who is a bassist but also bashes a large metal coil on stage. Giorgio Salmoiraghi is also a member, who drums live and in the studio contributes further percussion and sound design elements to the music.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

The band is based in two regions; I live in Ticino, the Italian speaking canton of Switzerland and my two other band members live in Lombardia, a northern province in Italy. I travel into Italy for rehearsals

There are two bands that I would recommend, both from Italy:

Overcharge

Devoid of Thought

4. How would you describe your style?

The music of Kollaps has and likely always will have industrial roots, I suppose it is quietly 80’s influenced with a modern flare. I often think of it as harsh romantic music.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have released two records Sibling Lovers (2017, Silken Tofu) and Mechnical Christ (2019, Cold Spring). We have a forthcoming record expected to be released in June 2022 called Until The Day I Die which will be our second collaboration with Cold Spring Records. Once again I feel like the music is harsh and romantic; it has more sophisticated songwriting and sound design; moments of chaos, beauty and ugliness.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

As I mentioned, the forthcoming title “Until The Day I Die” slated for release on Cold Spring Records during June 2022.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Kollaps has an extensive touring history and will continue that this year; we have a tour in April with Brighter Death Now and Of The Wand & The Moon where we will also perform at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg. We have further festivals, namely Roskilde Festival and Fusion Festival,  during June which is scheduled around the album release. There is talk also of a 5 week tour in the United States of America.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Very soon we shall release some videos, one called “I Believe In The Closed Fist” which I have self produced and also a video called “D-IX” which was produced and edited by Jakub S. and edited in a VHS studio by Capital Waste Productions in Adelaide, Australia.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You may listen to new music from our forthcoming record “Until The Day I Die” on the Cold Spring bandcamp and make vinyl/cd purchases through the label website. I have listed these below.

https://coldspring.bandcamp.com/album/until-the-day-i-die-csr309cd-lp

Vinyl: https://coldspring.co.uk/csr309lp

CD: https://coldspring.co.uk/csr309cd

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

It’s not so much that I care whether something specifically about the music is remembered as much as I hope that some can identify with the music and find it moving in some way. With Kollaps, as much as the music is intended to be harsh and repulsive; genuine connection and common understanding always remains a key objective.

Eloah Discusses Old and New Music!

Elemental rock band ELOAH have a handful of demo's along with eight full-length albums! Their most recent are the "Mondestein Chronicles" series, with the band finishing the last part of this trilogy expected to come out soon enough. The band discusses their music content, especially newer material, along with planning to play live once the music is set and finalized!

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

ELOAĦ was founded in 1995 as a singer/songwriter project. It has had many different members over the years with a small, fixed core.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

At the time of the first recordings and gigs we did not have a name, and all of a sudden the recording studio needed one. At that time I was reading literature about the bible and apocryphal scripts in which I found the word “eloah” which loosely translates to “comes from above”. We figured that since our inspiration to write songs also somehow came from somewhere else, and we liked the sound of the name, we chose is as preliminary band name. Because I also studied physics at that time, and I wanted to make the name unique, I replace the “h” by and “ħ”, the symbol for the reduced Planck constant.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

The band was originally based in Graz, Austria. When I moved to Leeuwarden in 2008, the old band dissolved more (with a few notable exceptions), and a new band was formed. Here in the Netherlands there are many great local bands, and I can personally recommend the bands Maestro and Metal Bats (both based in Groningen).

4. How would you describe your style?

Singer-songwriter based rock with new age, jazz and metal elements.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have released many demos and eight complete albums. The latest ones, the Mondstein Chronicles, are a improvisation-based trilogy with a jazzy touch. Apart from that, you can expect rock and pop balads.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Always. While finishing the last part of the Mondstein trilogy, we were already recording tracks for an upcoming pop ballad album; and apart from that we are working on a rock/metal album to be released after that.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

No, not at the moment. There was the pandemic, of course, and we focused much more on studio work – which we intend to finish.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

First we will finish the production of the next two albums, the soft rock and the hard rock album, and then we will see – probably things will come up in the meantime. We have been planning to play live for some time now, but this is again postponed to after the production. Many of our musicians play live regularly, though, in their other bands.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can listen to it on all major online platforms. On our homepage (http://www.eloah-art.net ) you will find an overview with links to YouTube, Spotify, Apple music, etc.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

That is something I would leave up completely to the listener.

Astro Lloyd's Discussion on Music, Playing, and More!

Alternative rockers ASTRO LLOYD have been active for a while now, releasing an EP and album, with a follow-up album expected sometime this year! The band goes into discussion about their music, playing shows and what's up next!

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Astro-Lloyd started out in March 2011 when metalband ‘Sensei’ from Malmo decided to quit. Drummer Andreas Jabrell and guitarist Martin started writing new songs the same evening. Wanting to do something different than metal, Andreas switched to guitar and a couple of ideas for new songs were written that same evening. Soon after drummer Nils Lindkvist and bas splayer Daniel Johansson also joined the band. The first couple of years Astro-Lloyd tried a couple of different singers but none worked out and in the end Andreas ended up singing with Nils doing backup vocals. Soon after Martin quit the band Danny Forsberg joined just in time for the first official release, EP ‘Planet Unknown’, released 2014. Then they started to work on the first full album which resulted in ‘Astro Life’, released in 2017. At the same time as ‘Astro Life’ came out, Daniel quit and Michael Carlqvist joined on bass.

During the 2017-2019 Astro-Lloyd focused on playing live and at the same time started writing the follow up to ‘Astro Life’. Then things didn’t work out as planned, Michael quit the band, Andreas, Nils and Danny continued writing songs, Nils switched to guitar instead of drums and then adding Mattias Hallin on drums at the end of 2019. Soon after Cornelis Holmdén joined on bass and in the middle of the pandemic (December 2021) Nils and Danny left the band. That’s when we brought in Gustaf Danielsson on guitar, finished writing the new album. Now we have released two singles from upcoming album ‘Loud Noises’ (to be released later this spring) with a new single ‘Gnorts, Mr.Alien’ coming in the next couple of weeks.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

We were joking around a lot when coming up with the band name. Nils (our old drummer) had always wanted to name his child Lloyd and Andreas who worked at a golf course at the time talked about Astro Turf (fake grass) so we just combined it into Astro-Lloyd

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are based in Malmoe, Sweden and have a pretty decent music scene. It’s a little bit harder for newer bands but have some who have made it. Local bands we can recommend are of course Royal Republic, who have inspired us a lot with their high energy and then we have Deville, inspiration on the heavier side, fuzzy riffs for days!

4. How would you describe your style?

Alternative rock with a lot of punk rock undertones. We describe ourselves like “ Imagine if Foo Fighters and Biffy Clyro had a baby that really liked Blink-182! There you have Astro-Lloyd, alternative rock from Malmoe.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

EP ‘Planet Unknown’ in 2014 and LP ‘Astro Life’ in 2017. You can expect a lot of melodic riffs, high energy songs, often happy songs with a bit darker tone once you get in to the lyrics

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We have just finished recording our upcoming second album ‘Loud Noises’, two singles has been released already (‘Sphere Believer in November 2021 and ‘Antlers’ in January 2022) and upcoming single ‘Gnorts, Mr.Alien’ to be released in a couple of weeks.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We have played a lot of shows in Sweden, some in Denmark and Netherlands and did a small our in Germany in 2019. We just had our first real show in 18 months this past weekend (April 1) in Gothenburg and then we will have a release party in Malmoe on May fourth.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Plans for the future is to get our music heard by as many people as possible, get out playing shows and just make people happy with our music.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

It’s up to everyone who listens. What we try to convey with our music is hope. It’s usually fast and uplifting with lyrics that has a hopeful but darker undertone. So mostly happy, uplifting memories from the music.
