Alternative rock, post grunge, nu-metal band COMA WAVES has been actively doing music for sometime now, having released three single's so far. A lot of differences between said single's with a whole debut album expected with much else coming for this year alone. Some shows are even set for the end of this year as well. The band discusses their time thus far, and what else is in-store for them coming up!
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Toddi (Guitar) and Eric (Vocals) had been working together on music videos and wanted to start a project for themselves. since Toddi and I (Mike)( Guitar/Vocals/Production) had been in a band together years ago, they asked me to help write some songs. Originally I was only supposed to be hired for production and songwriting but I ended up really enjoying what we were making It ended up making sense to just join. Eric knew Corey (Drums) from social media and he turned out to live not even 10 minutes away from us all. So we met up and just clicked on what we were going for. Then we’ve known Gabe(Bass) from other bands he’s been in over the years we asked him to come be apart if this. And here we are.
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
It was the name of a song from one of our singers old projects.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
We’re located in North Port, Florida. The Florida music scene is easily one of the best and most diverse out there. Some bands from around here we would recommend would be

4. How would you describe your style?
It’s meant to have a blend of all sorts of sounds. We’re influenced by a lot of early 2000s nu metal/and post grunge/Alternative rock. A sense of nostalgia.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
We’ve released three singles so far. They’re all really different from each other they encompass the full spectrum of the sounds we’re trying to achieve.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
We do! We have a debut album as well as multiple other releases planned out for the rest of this year!
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
We have some shows coming at the end of this year. We’re looking to be on the road sometime next year.
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
A lot more music and a lot more shows.
