Dynamic, powerful, and melodic is how CRIMSON PRIDE would describe their music, and by releasing 2 EP's and a full-length album just recently, there is nothing but to promote like never before! With this, the band plans to tour, play shows, and continue to release music, just spreading their name as far and wide as possible. Check out what was said on all of this right below.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
After 6 years of musical experiences, Crimson Pride was officially formed in 2018. We are a Swiss band of 5 dear friends and we've known each others pretty much our whole lives. We built our music studio almost 10 years ago, and we've never stopped playing together. We all fell in love with Rock and Metal music in its various forms. The band members are: Fred (Bass) Jean (Drum) Lio (Lead vocal) Luca (Lead guitar) Jo (Guitar) and we had an extra member and friend joined us for our latest album, Séb (Orchestral production). Though we all love heavy guitars, we have a lot of influences and musical experiences, ranging from classical music, musicals, Jazz, to pretty much anything you could imagine.
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
The band's name has different meanings, but the most important thing to us, is what it means to each and everyone. Maybe the most important axis to develop would be that we are all human, we all bleed, we all laugh, we all make mistakes, we all learn. If it had to come down to one sentence, this one pretty much be it.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
The band is from Switzerland. The music scene is a bit harsh because people here like to have artists show their skills in other countries before accepting them as such. However, this country is filled with A LOT of festivals of all kinds. I've heard once it is one of the biggest ratio in terms of festival/km2.
4. How would you describe your style?
A very dynamic music, with powerful guitar riffs and heavy bridges, contrasting with melodic voices. I think our style could match with a wide audience, from rock to metal fans.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
We have released 2 EPs and recently our first album with 10 brand new songs. Our album called "Bloom" is a journey: It tells a deeply human story, exploring themes of hope, despair, and resilience. If someone takes the time to listen to the album from start to finish (in the order), we would want them to embark on this journey with us, and feel what we wanted to share through these songs. They should be ready to hear some heavy tracks, both in terms of guitar riffs and lyrics, but also some Rock and brighter lyrics, both with a touch (or sometimes a big touch) of orchestral instrumentation.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
Since our album just came out, we have nothing ready to be released yet, but we are always working on new songs and improvements of our existing ones.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
We manage to play regularly in Switzerland, and our album release party was amazing, we made a sold out evening with a few hundreds people. Of course, we want to play more and reach more people with our music. We have nothing officially announced yet for touring, but we are working on it. So if anyone that reads this wants to help us, it would be nice!
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
We plan to tour and we hope to share our songs with as many people as possible, hopefully helping some of them in their darkest moments! Even if the first tracks of the album can look a bit dark, the message in the end is encouraging everyone to find light. We will release more tracks and play more gigs!
9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can listen to our band on every streaming platform, and you can buy our album for a very cheap price on bandcamp, though we have not developed our visibility on this platform a lot. However, people have been very reactive on social media and they our album got a good number of streams on Spotify (more than 50k in a week!)
10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?
We'd like them to focus on what they feel first, and then, we hope to have some more people screaming their hearts out through our lyrics with us.
