Industrial rockers MOTEL TRANSYLVANIA have an album out currently, with them focusing upon their next shows, with some festivals included as well. They want to promote this new album as much as possible, playing as much as they can too! The band talks about all of this below.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Motel Transylvania has a ten years old background. The project started with a very different sound, which evolved gradually throughout the years until it reached a stable musical identity. Generation Lost is the product of a sound research, made possible by the most recent lineup.
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
Actually Motel Transylvania wasn't supposed to be a live project in the beginning. The name came up as Toxi was recording the first homemade song of his project: he was listening to Transylvania 90210 by Wednesday 13 in that moment. (the name came up one year before the Hotel Transylvania cartoon *laughing*)
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
The band is based in Liguria, a region on the Italian shore. The scene is diverse and filled with artists of various genres, from hip hop to death metal and punk. Let's say that the underground scene is huge and still strong.
4. How would you describe your style?
The band finds its roots in a strong industrial base, which meets modern influences coming from the musical background of each member.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
We've just released Generation Lost, our latest album. You can expect a musical journey, an inner path in which you face yourself and what lies in the deepest, most intimate and tormented part of your being.
It is a journey made of passion, lust, anger and consciousness.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
Right now we are heavily focused on preparing our next shows, but we are also working on the songs that will be the next year's singles.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
We have many European festival already confirmed and we also have a gig in England, the Corrosion Festival in Morecambe.
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
We will certainly bring the Generation Lost album around Europe, playing as many shows as possible. The live dimension is very important to us, sharing our music with fans and collaborating with other bands is always something we look forward to.
9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
The new album is now out on Spotify and we have a bigcartel shop in which fans can buy our merch.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?
The care that we had for every detail, from musical choices to what the lyrics want to transmit.
