Tfcon the ultimate Transformers fan convention, featuring voice actors, artists, writers, and other members of the Transformers universe over the years, since the animated cartoon series debuted back in the 80’s. Since then, the series had grown into various other TV adaptions, movies, and continues to this very day, with fans in the masses all around the world. This year’s convention took place in Los Angeles, California again at the Burbank Airport Hotel and convention center, a rather small convention center in comparison to Pasadena’s and Los Angeles’s conventions. But whilst it was small it brought the crowd with a sold out weekend, taking place March 8th through the 10th 2024!
Having attended that Saturday and Sunday, Saturday brought in the crowd, some dressed up as their favorite autobot and decepticon, ranging from Optimus Prime and Megatron, as well as Starscream, Bumblebee and Soundwave, amongst others. Kids, adults, all ages were welcomed and dressed up in robot style. With others sporting tshirts, hoodies, pants, to accessories even. The exhibit hall, artist alley featured an assortment of Transformers toys, jewelry, stickers, keychains, but mostly toys! Lots and lots of toys, figures to transformer figurines themselves, lots of items were had and sold throughout the 3 day weekend.

Sunday would be the BIG day out of the three though, with it featuring Optimus Prime and Megatron themselves, Peter Cullen and Frank Welker in person, meeting fans, taking photos, with other guests Arthur Burghardt voice of Devastator, Dan Gilvezan voice of Bumblebee, to Greg Berger voice of Grimlock as well as many other voice actors from the numerous series, to artists of the comics, composers, and other guests joining in too. The fans bought various merchandise items, took in some panels, and shared stories with other fans about how much this fan base and franchise as a whole meant to them.
In short, it was a small convention but brought in the crowd of Transformers fans from the young to the old, no matter whom, all were there for one reason, to have a good time, fun experience, and be into transforming themselves into their own take of a Transformer, robots in disguise.
