Rock act Slow Burning Car out of Los Angeles, California has been actively doing music for sometime now, having gotten to interview lead vocalist/bassist Troy Spiropoulos in 2009, and then again 15 years later in 2024, the band has done a lot more since then. Touring nationally and internationally, playing shows locally including tonight's show down in Hollywood on the Sunset Strip at the Viper Room!
Having arrived close to 8PM, one of the opener's Mother Damnable, continued the show from previous openers Roland Faunte, with Mother Damnable doing a few noticeable cover songs like Metallica's "Enter Sandman" and Paramore's "Decode", as well as their own working's their set being pleasing enough.
Following them would be Slow Burning Car performing a little after 9PM, for a good 45 minutes, playing their own share of cover songs, along with their own material singing such songs as "Hard Time Walking”, “I Saw the Mountain”, “Ladish Man”, and covers like “Dancing with Myself” and “I Wanna Be Your Dog”, among others that got the crowd dancing, jumping, and moving all about. Surely the band's set was captivating and highly entertaining. Each of the band members giving it their all, having their personalities intertwine within the performance. Frontman vocalist Troy did a splendid job on vocals and bass, with co-vocalist Kim Clayborne doing her dance moves and singing tactics with ease. Whereas the other guitarists like Tommy Marcel and Aaron Kusteerer did swell jobs, making each of the songs performed sound amazing. Drummer Zak St. John was a beast behind the kit, having it all come together that is was flawless really.
SLOW BURNING CAR:
All in all though, the band did a performance that was fun to see and hear. Having promoting themselves throughout their set, was rightfully done, it made sure that those there knew who they were, and that Slow Burning Car is one vehicle to not burn away so easily.
