Midsummer Scream a horror convention out of many out there, that takes place in the middle of summer, at the end of July, every year in Long Beach, California at its convention center. This year, it took place July 26th through the 28th 2024. And it was sold out for most of the weekend, fans gathered from all over California to other places as well, everyone adored in their black attire to full on costume get up. It was all spooky smiles centered around all things scary, spooky, horror related and especially Halloween!
Friday evening July 26th had various presentations ranging from films, performances, magic acts, and other musical acts as well, a very brief introduction as to what to be expected that very next day, Saturday July 27th, was when the vendor hall would open it’s doors, hall of shadows with mini haunted houses you could walk through and get spooked bye. Along with other smaller panel discussions, food carts, and guests meeting and greeting with the fans who came in. This all took place in the lower level of the convention, whilst the upper level had showrooms where larger panel discussions were held, various theme parks Knotts, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Haunted Hayride, Queen Mary, all talked about their fall attractions of the spooky kind, featuring mazes, houses, and the like that everyone as eagerly awaiting to hear all about.

Sunday July 28th would be the last day of this convention, featuring many more guests making appearances, the vendor hall selling off the rest of their merchandise, as well as the hall of shadows still packed and going strong with guests roaming around the mazes it provided. A lot of the same for the weekend portion of this horror convention, offering a lot for guests, many coming in full make up and costume attire of their favorite characters Friday the 13th’s Jason, Halloween’s Michael Myers, Child’s Play Chucky, to others like Scream, Monster High, as well as other monsters and ghouls Frankenstein, Dracula, and zombies too!
Midsummer Scream is an annual convention that always happens every summer time, hence the namesake “mid” in its title, in the middle of summer, making every summer the spookiest if not hottest of the year!
