Who doesn’t know the story of Alice in Wonderland, or simply “Alice!” according to the Nine O'Clock Players/Assistance League Playhouse in Los Angeles, California. Their take on this story, is based on the Lewis Carroll’s “Alice In Wonderland” story, where you meet Alice, who follows the white rabbit down the rabbit hole into wonderland, where she meets various characters such as the Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts, The Card, and the Caterpillar. Special effects, costumes, with tons of dancing, singing, with lots of sights and sounds a foot, it was an energetic experience to behold.
Having taken place during the month of November, happening only Sundays at 2PM in the afternoon, the show would be a packed house on this finale afternoon, where children and adults alike, even school kids on a field trip attended this performance. The show started a little after 2PM then went on for a good hour or so, with an intermission happening with guests able to grab snacks, use the restroom, and then return to their seats. The performance following was wrapping up the show, but still a lot of fun! Lots of effects, lighting effects, sound effects, projection usage, musical numbers, and music was thought out and done really well, and very creatively as well. It made this play much more expressive and funny, lots of laughter and crowd interaction could be heard throughout the theater; making it way more fun!
Good seats for a little theater, good music from the musical play that was “Alice!”, and the characters, cast, and crew made it very entertaining. Every time the cast and crew throw together, a stage show of sorts, it is always a flawless good time. Surely the next show adaption they take on, will be just as entertaining as this one was, if not even better!
