EX DEO, the Juno nominated project of KATAKYLSM frontman Maurizio Iacono, will unleash their EP Year of the Four Emperors. The EP is their first with Reigning Phoenix Music and will be released on January 10th, 2025 exclusively on tour and through the RPM webstores. Further physical editions, including exclusive vinyl, will be released February 14th. The band will also embark on a tour of Europe In January in support of DARK FUNERAL and FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE before heading to North America in the spring in support of SEPTICFLESH and VLTIMAS.

To commemorate the release announcement, the band has revealed the first single "Vespasian" along with a lyric video which can be watched HERE: https://exdeo.rpm.link/vespasianPR

Maurizio comments about the song "The EP’s closing track is an anthem of resilience and renewal. Vespasian emerges as a figure of stability amid the chaos, and the music reflects his calculated strength. Triumphant melodies intertwine with thunderous percussion, capturing his consolidation of power and the restoration of Rome’s fractured empire. The lyrics exalt Vespasian as the harbinger of a new era, culminating in a resounding declaration of victory and legacy. His reign ushers in the Flavian dynasty and a semblance of peace."

Following their 40-year-anniversary tour through South America and Europe, German Thrash-Teutons DESTRUCTION strike again with their 16th studio album, Birth Of Malice, out March 7, 2024 via Napalm Records!

Band founder Schmier once again combines his dual vocal/bass attack with crashing riffs from dual battle axe masters Martin Furia and Damir Eskić, while Randy Black blasts his drums to new heights. As witnessed on their previous thrash-fest Diabolical (2022), DESTRUCTION return with their uniquely raw and brutal sound, delivering merciless songs with a touch more variety and groove this time. All twelve songs straight from the butchers hit with a direct, clean sound - resulting in addictive metal anthems for the next generation of thrashers!

Today, the crushing new single “Destruction” has been released and as it’s named after the band, it contains everything DESTRUCTION is revered for. This thrash anthem reflects on the band’s legacy, fueled by razor-sharp riffs and Schmier’s relentless vocals. With lyrics celebrating their outcast origins and unbreakable metal spirit, “Destruction” is a tribute to over 40 years of thrash dominance. Get ready for pure sonic mayhem as the Teutonic titans strike again!

DESTRUCTION on their eponymous battle hymn:

“The crushing song ‘Destruction’ is the perfect opener for this album: it builds a bridge between our old school sound and riffing, including song title phrases from classic DESTRUCTION tracks and more shredding & melodic twin lead guitars, that will pinch your brain with its razorsharp leads!

"The message ‘we are DESTRUCTION’ unites us with our fans worldwide and manifests the bond we have together!

"I see this track in the tradition of a cult song like ‘Curse the Gods’ in the way it is composed - a thrash metal rollercoaster ride galore!”

Southern California metalcore giants BLEEDING THROUGH are back! After much anticipation, the band has announced their long-awaited, ninth full length album, NINE, will be released on February 14th via SharpTone Records.

Following the release of eviscerating singles, 'Our Brand Is Chaos' and 'Dead But So Alive', BLEEDING THROUGH emerges six years after the release of Love Will Kill All, for one of the most vicious and unrelenting records of their celebrated career, NINE.

Commenting on the impending record, vocalist Brandan Schieppati says:

“There’s so much passion and aggression on this album. If you’re a fan of us, you won’t be let down. This is everything we’ve been working towards. This is the culmination of 25 years. This is Bleeding Through in its purest form.”

Today, the band reveals the album's next merciless single, 'Path Of Our Disease', which is accompanied by the music video below.

Adding about the new single, Schieppati says:

"'Path Of Our Disease' is a song about the disgusting social climate of the world. We are becoming a species that is never satisfied. We think the grass is always greener and are forgetting what loyalty is. We are being led be liars and fakes down a path of disappointment. It’s time to break free."

Shadows Fall, who were at the forefront of the New Wave of American Metal scene that dominated the '00s, are back with a brand new song and a new label! The band has shared the new single "In the Grey." Watch the video HERE.

The band — singer Brian Fair; guitarists Jonathan Donais and Matt Bachand; bassist Paul Romanko; and drummer Jason Bittner— is also thrilled to announce it has signed with MNRK Heavy.

The song is classic Shadows Fall — galloping solos, riffs on top of riffs, three-tiered vocals, memorable, stadium-sized melodics, and introspective lyrics.

"We are incredibly excited to share our first new music in over a decade with our single 'In the Grey' and are proud to announce our partnership with MNRK Music Group," states singer Brian Fair. "When Shadows Fall first got back in the practice space to prepare for our reunion shows, we did not know if it would lead to new music, but the excitement of jamming together and all of the riffs that Jon [Donais] had floating around in his head led us in the direction almost immediately. The idea began flowing, the energy started building and new songs began taking form out of the the chaos."

He continues, "'In the Grey' is a full-throttle thrasher that contains all of the elements that are the bedrock of the Shadows Fall sound, but also adds new elements and approaches that developed in the recent past while we all explorer other musical avenues. Lyrically, I was trying to put into words and describe the physical manifestation of the weight and crushing power that can come with depression, that feeling that the weight of gravity is crashing down on you or being trapped in the dark waters of our own mind, trying to rise to the surface and take a breath. It can be an overwhelming and lonely place but there is always a light at the end of that tunnel and we always need to keep striving for a brighter day and escaping the grey."

Fair finishes, "We want to sincerely thank everyone for the decades of support that you have given Shadows Fall and we cannot be happier to be back and rocking once again. Crank up 'In the Grey,' raise those horns to the sky, and bang your head as hard as you can.  Stay tuned for more music and news soon..."

Scott Givens, MNRK's SVP of Rock & Metal, stated, "When you get the chance to sign a genre-defining band like Shadows Fall, you do it. We at MNRK are proud they have chosen to work with us as they enter the next phase of their career."

CRUCIFICTION, the new br00tal deathcore band featuring Bloodbather's Salem Vex, dropped their debut album Will to Power, inspired by the raw materials with which nightmares are made, earlier this year via Rise Records.

Frenetic visuals mix performance footage with further occult themes. The video will chill both your blood and your bones — just like the song.

In other Crucifiction news, the band will embark on its first-ever tour this winter, supporting GHØSTKID and Hawk. All dates are below.

Heavy metal 'n' roll, dark, madcap visionaries collectively known as AVATAR — vocalist Johannes Eckerström, guitarists Jonas Jarlsby and Tim Öhrström, bassist Henrik Sandelin, and drummer John Alfredsson — are thrilled to share the brand new, re-recorded piano version of their song "Tower."

This gorgeous new version is the first time the band has re-recorded a track in its career thus far. It's an uncharacteristically quiet yet incredibly powerful update.

"This version of 'Tower' became a special moment in a very special period of our lives," states Eckerström. "It feels natural to use it as a way to stop and look back for just a moment before we move forward with full force. It's a thank you to everyone who stands by our side and makes the magic happen."

CAVALERA has become synonymous with extreme metal music, a name that to this day still holds the highest regard, a family legacy built upon decades of musical aggression. In 2023, Max and Iggor Cavalera achieved what some would say was an impossible feat; they revisited their earliest releases, Morbid Visions, and Bestial Devastation, and re-recorded them with bone-breaking intensity. A risk that few would dare to even attempt, yet they artfully and prolifically attained their trademark raw sound by means that could only be described as magic or time travel.

The band announce their 'Third World Trilogy' U.S. Tour. The 30-trek will kick off on February 19th at Queen B in Cottonwood, Arizona and will make stops in Seattle, Brooklyn, and Orlando before concluding at the Van Buren in Phoenix on March 30th. Joining the tour are Oakland death metallers NECROT and  California thrash/hardcore band DEAD HEAT.

Max Cavalera states, "We are really excited to bring the 'Third World Trilogy', featuring Schizophrenia, to the US! If you want to hear  fast riffs, pummeling drums, thunderous bass, and schizophrenic leads, jump in our pit!!"

Iggor Cavalera comments, “I’m super excited about this upcoming us tour, is one of those rare chances to see our first releases on our most purest form performed live. I hope to see you all in the pit!!! Don’t sleep on these dates. You have been warned. X”

Death/Thrash Metal stalwarts Avenger of Blood sign to M-Theory Audio and bring you a new single/lyric video entitled “Revenge Is My Name.” Ripping and ruthless, “Revenge Is My Name” takes no prisoners in its all-out assault as the band pummels and crushes all in their wake. Listen now on all digital platforms or watch HERE https://youtu.be/gw0rwLRaQeo?si=4YOFATR15dyMlojr

"’Revenge Is My Name’ is a song about violence and anger! The inspiration came from our love of slasher and horror films, as well as a lot of the first-person perspectives you see on social media and such these days,” explains drummer Shannon Frye. “The world can be a violent place, and songs like this are an outlet for those who experience the same thing."

“Revenge Is My Name” is the first slice from the band’s forthcoming EP of the same name. The ‘Revenge Is My Name’ EP features four new songs from the re-energized quintet and will be released April 25th on limited (200 copies) throes of ash colored vinyl and CD. Pre-orders launch today HERE https://lnk.to/avengerofblood

"We are excited to work with Marco and the M-Theory Audio staff,” states Shannon. “Having been friends for a long time and knowing Marco's dedication, work ethic and knowledge, we knew we made the right decision in this new partnership! We look forward to releasing this new EP and much more great things to come."

M-Theory label president Marco Barbieri has been a fan of the group almost 20 years and their paths have crossed many times over the years whether it was being considered for Century Media, handling music publishing deals, booking AOB on locals shows, producing a single for Relapse, or handling digital distribution, Marco has always lent a helping hand to the guys and he’s proud to finally add them to the label roster.

Japanese metal sensations BRIDEAR have released a brand-new music video for ‘Braver Words’, the second single from this year’s epic album Born Again, out now on Psychomanteum Records.
The video accompanies the announcement of a headline tour of Europe in March and April 2025. The ‘Into the World Forever’ tour will power through France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic and the Netherlands before continuing through the UK.

‘Braver Words’, with its intense riffs, powerful vocal hooks, and dazzling twin-guitar solo, is the perfect song for announcing the band’s return to Europe. Lead singer KIMI states: “This song is a celebration of strength and perseverance. The video captures the energy and vibe of not just the song but also our live shows!”

Bassist HARU adds: “This video is a celebration of our live performances, and it’s an invitation for everyone to come see us when we head back overseas in 2025. We can’t wait to see all of our fans in Europe and the UK!”

The ‘Braver Words’ video was filmed in June during the Born Again album release show in front of a packed house in Tokyo, Japan. The new album, produced and mixed by legendary metal producer Fredrik Nordström (In Flames, At the Gates, HammerFall, Dimmu Borgir), was recorded at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden in March of 2024 and has been heralded as a landmark album for Japanese metal and “an instant classic” (Burrn! Magazine, June 2024).

Metal Hammer claimed: “Another triumph [they] have nailed down a sound that is at once quintessentially Japanese and uniquely theirs… marrying NWOBHM and European power-metal with infectious J-Pop choruses”.

Born Again has also just been released on limited edition red and black splatter vinyl. It can be purchased exclusively via at PsychoShop.net

Dehumanizing Itatrain Worship, the pioneering force in the anime slam and brutal death metal scene, is once again primed to demolish musical boundaries with their new single “Brutal Panzer”. This track is a taste of what’s in store from the band’s second full-length, which comes out in 2025 (Release Date TBD) on Stillbirth Records, a subsidiary of Gore House Productions. The band comments on the track:

“This song was inspired by the anime ‘Girls und Panzer’. We love the military otaku culture in the anime, so we created a song with cute melodies, but still brutal, just like the characters in the anime who are kawaii girls but drive tanks into battle. This is the second single we released for our new album. It returns to some of our 2016 styles, but also includes many new ideas.”

“Brutal Panzer” draws direct inspiration from the anime series Girls und Panzer, exemplifying the band's commitment to creating more than just a musical gimmick. According to Kiryu, the single represents the band's evolving mission to integrate anime culture into their music authentically.

Founded in 2014 by lead vocalist Kiryu Zhang, Dehumanizing Itatrain Worship has consistently pushed the limits of extreme music, creating a groundbreaking sound that defies traditional genre constraints.

With lyrics in both Japanese and English, Dehumanizing Itatrain Worship blends the intensity of brutal death metal with the vibrant aesthetics of anime culture. They are recommended for fans of Ingested, Hanabie, and Vulvodynia.

Emerging as one of symphonic metal’s most innovative acts, Belle Morte returns with their highly anticipated album, Pearl Hunting, set for release on January 24, 2025, through Wormholedeath Records. Known for their dark, gothic edge and symphonic depth, Belle Morte ventures into bold new territory with Pearl Hunting, merging symphonic metal with a global array of traditional instruments that beckon listeners on a unique sonic journey.

Pearl Hunting – A Global Collaboration of Sound and Spirit

Just as pearl divers plunge deep into mysterious waters in search of rare treasures, Belle Morte has delved into diverse musical traditions to craft Pearl Hunting. This ambitious album features 11 meticulously crafted tracks, each produced in collaboration with a lineup of guest musicians from across the globe. Recorded across continents, the album combines symphonic metal's majesty with traditional sounds from countries as far-reaching as Mongolia, Japan, and Peru, blending Eastern, Celtic, and Latin influences into a transcendent fusion.

A Rich Musical Tapestry Woven with Rare Ethnic Instruments

Pearl Hunting stands out for its bold use of ethnic instrumentation, drawing from Belarusian, Celtic, Mongolian, Japanese, and Andean music. The band incorporates an impressive range of instruments, including the Belarusian duda, Ukrainian sopilka, Celtic bouzouki, and Armenian duduk, alongside the Peruvian pan pipes, Indonesian suling and gamelan, and Japanese shamisen, koto, and shakuhachi. Each track offers its auditory landscape, pairing symphonic metal’s intensity with the haunting allure of the Trinity College harp or the guttural, earthy tones of the morin khuur.

Stories as Profound as the Music

Beyond the instrumental richness, Pearl Hunting is also lyrically profound. The album explores themes of love, lust, inner conflict, and resilience. Belle Morte seamlessly intertwines these personal journeys with vivid storytelling, conjuring tales of supernatural beings, vampires, and ancient folklore. Listeners are invited to journey alongside the band into an otherworldly realm where music transcends conventional metal fusions.

Finnish hard rock and metal legends LORDI are set to release their highly anticipated 19th studio album, Limited Deadition, on March 21, 2025 via Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM). The album is spearheaded by the electrifying lead single, "Syntax Terror," a track that thrusts listeners into a game-like world with spacy melodies, thunderous riffs, and irresistibly catchy hooks.

Mr Lordi comments: "The writing of this song started out with its main keyboard riff. I played around with those mono sounds, trying to come up with something with a very 80s action movie opening score feel. 'Syntax Terror' actually almost became the album title, but then it was discovered that other people have had the same idea way before I did. On the verses I was thinking of JUDAS PRIEST, on the chorus of MANOWAR and - as icing on the cake - Udo Dirkschneider-type of screams to belch out the title. Don't ask what the lyrics are about. 'Syntax Terror' is a very 80s heavy metal style song, painting abstract pictures with every line!"
