Anders L. Rasmussen Discussion on Music, Shows Planned and the Joy of Music!

One man band ANDERS L. RASMUSSEN has released a few song's, with much more set for the future. Many influences and genres have given him the inspiration at being a hard rocker in both spirit and as a musician. He goes into discussion about how he got into music, what is set ahead and doing some shows from here on out.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

This is a one-man band. I released my first song 22nd of November. There is no history, really, but hopefully a great future.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

It's my name.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

I live in Tromsø, where I'm based. I'm primarily a singer and guitarist in a heavy rock band, so I don't really have a broad overview of artists doing this solo thing I'm about to venture into.

4. How would you describe your style?

A melting pot of Americana and singer-songwriter to light rock. No rules, just having fun making noise I like.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

I released a song titled ‘The Weight of Life’ a month ago. A mellow tune. Voice, guitar and a mellotron.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

A new track is coming out 17th of January. This will be an interpretation of the classic, ‘Simple Man’. A couple of more singles will be released during the winter. I’m planning an album release in the spring.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Not, really. Did a show back in November. Lots of fun. Hopefully, there will be more gigs throughout 2025.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You’ll find me on most of the streaming services out there. The music always comes first, but hopefully there will be some merch available down the line.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

I hope the listener wants to listen multiple times. That the listener finds a nerve with a unique character. I hope the listener find joy listening to my music.
