Nymphic Talks of Past, Present, and the Future of Musically Content!

Raw and energetic act NYMPHIC had released an EP but as time went on, so did the band's style and development, with releasing a series of singles, and another EP soon! The band talks of their music, playing shows, and wanting to get out there playing to more audiences and places all over.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Stix Warner founded NYMPHIC as an acoustic duo back in 2016, laying the foundation for what the project has become today. Over time, the band evolved as each member joined, bonding over a shared passion for music and contributing to NYMPHIC’s growth. Antonio G, Omar Perez, and, most recently, Adam Cutler (who joined at the end of 2024) brought their unique talents to the table, solidifying the lineup. Despite some changes over time, this dynamic mix of personalities and skills has shaped the band into the force it is today.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Stix explains, *“The idea for the band name came from a word I first heard when I was 14. It struck me as the perfect way to describe the flower character I had created, now known as the NYMPHIC flower. The word resonated with me because it carried a sense of the mythical and feminine, emulating the juxtaposition of light and shadow that I wanted this flower character to represent. In essence, the band name reflects our commitment to exploring intricate themes and emotions, inviting listeners to find beauty in both the unexpected and the profound.”*

3. Where is the band based out of, and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you’d recommend?

We’re based in London, and the underground metal and alternative music scene here is absolutely thriving. We’re proud members of communities like the London Metal Coalition and London Metal Valkyries, which spearhead incredible gigs across the city. There are around 50 bands involved, all of them incredibly talented, and it’s an honor to be part of such a supportive and inspiring scene.

4. How would you describe your style?

Fans often compare us to Rage Against the Machine at our live shows. We’d say our sound blends their raw, aggressive energy with rap and melodic vocal lines, hard-hitting bass riffs, and groovy guitar parts. It’s a fusion of power, emotion, and groove that we think brings something unique to the table.

5. What have you released so far, and what can someone expect from your works?

In 2023, we released a demo EP that marked the beginning of our journey. Since then, we’ve refined our sound, diving deeper into heavy, nu-metal and alternative influences. The turning point came with our single ‘Peony’, which debuted alongside a music video and the first chapter of our comic series. This marked the start of a new era for NYMPHIC as we began to tell our epic story through both music and visual art.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We’re currently working on a trilogy series. The second track and music video, ‘Enemy’, drops on January 31, 2025, with the final installment of the series following soon after. Beyond that, there are whispers of an EP release later in the year, so stay tuned for what’s next!

7. How about playing shows and touring? Do you have anything planned?

This year, we’re expanding beyond London with gigs lined up in Essex, Suffolk, and possibly a tour in April. It’s an exciting step forward for us as we bring our music to new audiences.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Our biggest goal is to break out of London and the UK entirely, bringing our music to festivals and venues across Europe. Along the way, we’ll continue building the world of NYMPHIC, sharing our story through music, videos, and art.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can find us on all major streaming platforms. Our music video series is available on YouTube, and our accompanying comic series is being released on Tapas.

10. What do you want listeners to take away when hearing your music for the first time?

We’re creating a mythical universe around our music that tells the story of our mascot, The NYMPHIC Flower. This unfolding tale mirrors the challenges and corruption of our world, exploring these themes through a fantasy-meets-dystopian sci-fi lens. When you hear our music, we hope you’re not just moved by the sound but also drawn into the rich narrative we’re crafting.
