CreepIECon Returns to the IE for the New Year Valentine’s Spooktacular!

CreepIECon made it’s debut back in February of 2022, it becoming a bi-annual fright fest experience, where it would have not one but two incarnations “CreepIECon” (February) and “CreepIECon Aftermath” (September), the “IE” symbolizing for the Inland Empire region of Southern California or SoCal. For the past three years, both variations of the convention would take place, gathering Californians and out of staters to come in to adore and share their likes, loves, and perhaps dislikes for the joy of horror and the supernatural.

Having attended for my first time for it’s third year in February 2025, this event is always held in Ontario, California at the Ontario Convention Center, happening usually the weekend before Valentine’s Day! The convention center itself, reminded me a lot of the Long Beach Convention Center, except slightly smaller but not too small like the Pasadena Convention Center or even the Marriott Burbank Convention Center. This center featured two stories, the second level only granted access for the VIP ticket holders, whereas the main first level floor, is where a variety of events were being held, ranging from a dinosaur room with numerous statues, to a gaming room with retro consoles, to a scare haunt walk through maze attraction provided by Fear Farm! Now that was an experience that had a line creepily around the corner to experience it.

Another portion of the convention featured conference rooms where various guests made appearances, where more guests, were thrown into the vendor room, where various vendors sold numerous merchandise, t-shirts, bags,  painted artwork, pins, buttons, patches, stickers, home décor, etc. The typical usual stuff you can find at any of the various horror based conventions you would attend anywhere else really.

All in all, this horror convention was one that had a fun touch to it. It is a lot like a lot of the other horror conventions within the SoCal area. But that doesn’t make it one not to check out at least once, it at least made my experience enjoyable yet spooky fun!
