Punk rockers INFAMOUS STIFFS are always writing and have released an array of content since forming. Come this summer, an all new EP, as well as single's will be released, along with playing some shows, and touring soon enough too! The band chats about all of this stuff right below.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Infamous Stiffs started just before the Pandemic in 2019. So, what does a band to that has only been together for a few months and is face with a lockdown? Record an album and make videos, of course. Prior to Infamous Stiffs, Scott and I had been playing together since 2000 in Hollywood Hate. Infamous Stiffs are:
Scott Wilkins: vocal (formerly of Verbal Abuse, Electric Frankenstein and Hollywood Hate
Mark Pananides: Guitars (former Hollywood Hate)
Troy Takaki: Bass (The Boneless Ones)
Dave Bach: Drums (The Adam Sandler Band and the Avengers)
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
There is no real meaning. It sounded good and it’s and open to interpretation.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
We’re based out Southern California. Los Angeles and Orange County. There are a lot of good local bands, but I recommend checking out Scorpion Vs. Tarantula out of Phoenix, Arizona.
4. How would you describe your style?
Tooth chippin’ punk rock n’ roll.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
Kill For the Sound LP (2021) Lock Down Live EP (2022) and The Ornery Six EP. The first single “No Static” is out now. There will be 2 more singles released, and the full EP comes outs in June. 6. Do you have any new music in the works?
See above…we’re always writing.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
We’ll be playing in California and hope to get overseas once the EP is released.
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
Continue playing, writing and recording until the wheels fall off.
