Solo artist TOMI PERRAKOSKI discusses with us, his time as a current solo artists, and many other projects involved with other bands, and projects. Releasing new music, solo material and other working's. Plans to play soon, and release more music, plus much more.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
I am making music to three other bands/projects and I just wanted to do also my solo project as its more personal as lyrics and more melodywise and I think the time was right for me to make music as solo artist also. Members Tomi Perrakoski (solo project), session guest musicians (guitar, drums,etc).
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
This is my solo project so its my personal real name (Tomi Perrakoski).
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any
local bands you could recommend?
I am from Finland, and yes the music and metal scene here is huge and lots of great bands all over! Amorphis,Bloodred Hourglass,Wolfheart etc!! There are so many good bands and talented artists that will never get heard and that's of course kind of a sad thing.
4. How would you describe your style?
Melodic deathmetal/djent/Experimental metal and mix of a Avantgardemetal with elements of many other genres also.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
For my other bands (Magnadur,Houruva and Morbid children) I have released lot of songs and albums and more is coming all the time, for this solo project this is the third single out now (Jackal) from upcoming album ”diary of insanity” out on 11.7! You can expect unheard Djent/Avantgarde metal experience! With my solo projects ”save me” music video I will go to Berlin music video awards this year!
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
Yes all the time, one more single is coming before solo album! And for other bands also singles and albums coming! Music is my passion and I do it for the inspiration and creativity with full heart.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
Planning to start end of the year or 2026 the latest, because now I have a new drummer to come play with the band!
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
Do make better music all the time and stay creative and motivated and develop also to come better singer and producer. You make the best songs only by being totally on creative form and not under pressure, it should always be fun!

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?
I hope that its something new and different and it develops mind trips and mystical feeling and that no one else hasn't done totally similar way!
