“The Vortex of Violence Tour” with headliner’s Warbringer was a fun time! Having arrived at the venue that is the Teragram Ballroom, a little after 7PM, catching the second to the last performers, called Allegaeon, they were a creative mix, combining melodic power metal, mixed with death metal by the sounds of it. Their energy was fun, yet mellow, keeping a rather easy going pace among the crowd of on lookers. The pit was moving quite lightly but still maintaining a momentum, these guys had a very lively feel to their performance, that it was nice being able to catch them play at least.
ALLEGAEON:
Following them would be headliner’s Warbringer performing for a solid hour long set, performing a little early than usual. Going on at 8:30PM and wrapping up round 9:30PM, their set was good as ever before. Lots of facial expressions, fast instrumentals, with lots of movements coming from the audience with headbanging, mosh pit action, and crowd surfers, with even some stage divers, it was intensity throughout. The performance even had the band bring out an actual sword that the singer gladly twirled around, showing it off quite proudly it made their performance that more breath taking. But not only was weaponry done, but an actual “tug of war” broke out, between the left and right side crowd of the venue, who ended up winning but the right side! This all out tug of war had gotten started during the band’s finale of the night with the song “Total War”. It was fun little piece of entertainment that made this evening that more memorable.
WARBRINGER:
Whilst this show was rather short it was very sweet nonetheless. The performances given by the acts caught at the end, brought out the fun and pure excitement through and through. Warbringer being a break out thrash band, that is at their peak of perfection, making each and every performance seen by far, one to never forget.
