Gonebad Said So Much About Singles and Much More!
Melodic alternative rock/metal band GONE BAD have been around for quite a while now, releasing a two track single called "Counting Days" back in 2014. A handful of demo's and even a promo EP. The latest is another single called "Cold Enough", with another all new single track titled "Look For Entry", in the works right now. Find out what else was said below.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
I (B. Harrison) started Gonebad back in 2007. It turned out impossible for me to find permanent members so I ended up dismantling the band and started recording and releasing music by myself.
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
I noticed very early on that music was the only thing I had any interest in. I knew I was ruined and Gonebad seemed like a good word to sum it up.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
I live 30 miles from the capital of Finland, Helsinki in a tiny town with a non-existent music scene.
4. How would you describe your style?
Riff-driven, melodic alternative rock/metal.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
"Counting Days", a two track single was released 2014. A lot of demos and a promo EP. Before that but nothing relevant. My latest single is "Cold Enough" and if you happen to like that one, like guitar riffs and sentimental vocal melodies, you can expect to like every other song that follows it.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
Yes, we're currently finishing up a new single called "Look For Entry" and filming a video for it. It will be available hopefully sometime in March.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
The opportunities for playing shows here in Finland are few and far between so instead of spending time in the rehearsals for some random shows I rather use my time in the studio trying to build this thing up a bit first.
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
Right now I'm focusing on putting out enough songs for an EP and with all the videos and everything else that's probably going to take the rest of the year.
9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can stream Gonebad on Spotify and find it from all the digital stores. No merch available at this time.
10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?
I'd like them to remember hearing some honest music for a change. A band that doesn't go out their way trying to sound exactly like some other band.
