Misplaced Discloses Matters on Music, Creativeness and More!
Pop punks MISPLACED have released a handful of single's with an acoustic single coming soon, with even more singles underway! The band got together to disclose the matters about their music, creativity and plans for the future.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
We are Misplaced, a pop punk band based out of Glasgow, Scotland. We formed in early 2019 when a couple of the members from previous bands decided to take the music in a new direction and take it a lot more seriously.
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
We can’t really remember where the name came from exactly but I’m pretty sure we were all looking through songs we liked and the citizen song "Your Head Got Misplaced" came up.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
We are based out of Glasgow with a couple of guys living in the surrounding areas, the scene for Pop Punk/Alternative emo in the UK as a whole is Great these days, however in Scotland is very underrated, there’s too many to name but a couple we’d recommend would be "Spoke too Soon" and "Dude Trips".
4. How would you describe your style?
Sadboy Pop Punk.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
We’ve released 3 Singles so far from mid 2019, we try to write songs that combine high energy catchy choruses with sad undertones thematically.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
We’re releasing a new acoustic single on the 14th of February and will be recording another few singles in March.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
We have a small weekender tour planned from the 21st of February in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness, as well as supporting the pop punk band Woes on their final ever show on the 29th of February.
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
We plan to continue on writing high energy pop punk at the moment but we also enjoy experimenting with Vibeyer guitar tones which you can find on our latest single "I’ve been up way too late". A few of us are influenced by artists such as fats’e and Nothing, Nowhere who are very good at blending a pop punk sound with other elements and is something we could be doing in future.
9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
All our music can all be found on all the big streaming platforms out there (Spotify, Soundcloud etc) with a couple of music videos on YouTube.
10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for
We’re all extremely handsome and single <3 p="">3>
