High Tide Talk of Plans for New Shows and All New Music!
Retro rock n' rollers HIGH TIDE have an album out titled "Against the Current", with an all new single released recently titled "Untameable Love". The band caught up to talk about this content and the plans they want for themselves that are ahead.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Alexander Kühner (28) wanted to make music since a young age. He was looking for like-minded people, playing in cover bands, until he founded "High Tide" in 2014 with a longtime friend, the music student and guitarist Ben Wormser (25). In the bass player Kevin Pfeiffer (29), the organist Giuseppe Celentano (29), and the 30 year old drummer Andi Braun they found colleagues who want to go to the top with "High Tide".
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
It is a simple story. The first rehearsal room of the band was in a house close to a river. The river overflowed by a “High Tide” and the house was flooded.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
The band is based in Heilbronn – Germany. The music scene is embossed by local metal and hard rock bands.
4. How would you describe your style?
Our Style is Retro-Rock. We are inspired and influenced by the old classic rock and blues sound of the 70's. But we create our own sound.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
We released our first album: "Against The Current" in 2016. This year we release our second album. On April 5th 2020 we released the first single of the new album “Untameable Love”.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
Yes we are working on the next songs for the next albums.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
Because of the actual COVID-19 situation a lot of shows had been canceled. But we are planning the next shows and tours through Europe for winter 2020. On April 5th we streamed the High Tide – Social Media Concert on Facebook and YouTube.
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
First we want to play more international shows. Playing the UK and US tours. And then we want to go to the top.
9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can listen to our music on every streaming website, like Spotify, Amazon, Deezer and so on. You can also buy our songs on iTunes and Amazon.
10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?
Above all, the convincing and powerful voice of frontman Alexander Kühner and the fast guitar playing by Ben Wormser always comes up. But we want to give the feelings to the audience of an old handmade rock show.
